Utility Billing Payments 1 - Setup Online Payments
Hi this is Zac Kibria and this video is Setup Online payments. This video will go through how you can setup online payments for your customers through the online portal using Braintree. Although we do are able to work with different payment providers we highly recommend Braintree as it is integrated into your platform.
If you want to be able to process a credit card you need to use a payment merchant. Braintree is a payment provider owned by PayPal. For this video, we will be showing you how to setup an account with Braintree-one you have signed upon the Braintree Payments website- they will then provide you this login details like the test ones I will be using.
Alright so to set this up we need to follow some steps. First you will want to sign up to Braintree and go to the Braintree Payments Website. You will now receive a welcome email from Braintree (so don’t use a fake email at signup!). Next you will click on that link you were emailed to activate your Braintree account. Some of the details are grayed out but as you can see some of the details will be personalized. First click the search field and search for a customer by name of customer #. Once in the details tab scroll down to the Customer Portal section and ensure that access has been allowed and a password has been created. Ok great- so now you will want to look up top and click Admin tab- then under Payment Gateway select Group Payment. Now in the Manage payment Gateway of Group screen you will enter the details that you received from Braintree and PayPal- make sure Gateway status is active and direct debit active is set at yes.
For the purposes of this video I will be using the test login details
To Test the Setup, Use the Details Below
Merchant Id: 7qp8pqrfpnt2y8yw
Public Key: ksg6tysr49gks4pq
Private Key: 006fb0e18db1028e3bc5656dc5262c7d8
Once that is active and you are in the system copy the pay now URL to make it active for the customer portal. To do this Click Admin, Look under miscellaneous, click customer portal settings and then paste Pay Now URL. Copy Customer ID 225741, password: brad. And you are in! Once you are in you should see the click to pay now button on the top right. You should go ahead and click the pay now button to the top right and if you have done everything correctly it should open the form that allows you to enter in your credit card information as well as expiry date and allows you to pay online. Additionally, if using Braintree integration once bills are paid our system will automatically update the payment information on the customer portal dashboard.

The problem is not that Facebook and Google are the only advertising platforms. The problem is that they are considered mainstream media and without these two, the trend of cryptocurrencies gaining legitimacy is delayed. That is right, I said delayed not blocked or prevented.
The World Has Changed.
Five years ago, when bitcoin was unknown to most people, this might have been a fatal move. Today is a different story. I recently traveled to a remote mountain town in the interior of Mexico. Everyone I met had heard about Bitcoin and eyes lit up with excitement when I ask if I could pay for lunch with bitcoin.
Today are dozens of websites dedicated to cryptocurrencies, either holding them, exchanging them or just writing about them. Probably the most effective advertising remains on Google, it is called Google Search and it is free.
If someone wants to learn about owning bitcoin or any other currency, there is a ton of educational information.

Not All Regulation Is Inherently Bad.
If we examine the full spectrum of regulation to this point on a global scale there is one common target most everywhere. That is the practice of exchanges. So far there has been little or not regulation, threatened or enacted, to protect investors from loss of funds due to security breaches.
