Steve takes a look at the benefits of using 3 terrific Gmail add-on applications.
Steve showcases Rapportive, which offers social context in email, Boomerang, which creates reminders automatically from any incoming or outgoing message, and a attachment management tool, called findbigmail.

Hey Steve, I have a question for anyone at this point. is there a way to do a mail merge from google sheets and then print instead of sending an email, if I choose to do so? If yes, which add-on would you recommend that would not eventually charge me... If there is such a thing! TY in advance. (Love Your Channel BTW)
Steve: I am getting what you are sharing, howevere, I messed up my Master password, not once but twice. is there any hope for me to start over and use i t? I ried everything and it won't let me. Barb L. NM
BTW, one thing I have not been able to figure out ....When I read an email on my laptop and I archive it or respond to it, I would like for that email to be archived on my other devices. What do I need to do?
Steve, love your channel - looking for something (an extension if possible) to give me read reports w/o the party I sent the email to knowing. I used to have one through Hubspot but they no longer offer it. It was terrific. It would show me each time someone opened up the email I sent them...hoping you have a solution - keep up the amazing work, and thanks so much!
Hi Steve, thanks for sharing this video. I also installed the add-ons you talk about in this video and maybe it's coincidence but the order of the add-ons in your video is the best first and the least interesting last, however all 3 are pretty useful I think and I will try them out to see if I find them useful...
I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna love the first add-on and I think I'm gonna be using that one long term.
I'm sharing this video and a few more on my social media profiles and I want to write a blog post about Gmail to help people get the most out of it and your videos are very good and you show exactly what I think is important so I want to use a couple of your videos if you're okay with that...
I would like to put the best videos in one blog post and maybe do another one for Google Drive, Chrome, Forms and the hidden gems and it would be subscription based that's why I'm asking if you're okay with it because I don't want any legal issues or being accused of any copyright infringement so it's important that you give me an answer to this question before I go on with this.
I wish you the best,

Thanks for sharing, Steve. Also have you heard anything about free boomerang alternative, deskun.com? I've found it recently and seems like there is really a free and unlimited feature of email scheduling and snooze.
Use this in gmail search, no plugin needed:
Will search for mail larger than 20mb and before Jan 1st 2016. Change size and date as needed. "larger:" and "before:" (also "after:") can be used independently or in any combination.
Thinking about boomerang, but I'm wondering how much data they mine from your gigs of emails and sell to other companies...google does enough of that as it is..
Well done. 3 I have never heard of and I find all 3 useful in my day to day use of Gmail. Thank you. I did see the comments below and agree with your assessment of Rapportive and have switched to Full Contact as well.
Rapportive is rubbish. only gives you a result for someone on one single rare social networking site...for anything else...dont know... dont know...
and Boomerang? Installed it, looked at it, deleted it.
I look better than all of yous for 58 and I have the baddest fighting kids your ever see I hope someone gets sick close to you I can prove I don't have it and how would SC know how big my cock is unless I was drunk and had sex with him and any hole would be big she had aperture legs and right to the elbow with 20 guys a day what a mom I'm right in Gloucester come see me
hi, i'm using google calendar to schedule work for 5 vans, is there an app that will pull the information for each van ( callander ) and allow you to add comments next to it? ie work done time actually taken in order to create a time sheet ?
Steve, you are awesome. Thanks for always uploading so many useful and educational emails. If it wasn't for you I would have given up on many valuable apps, extensions and so much more. Keep up the great work.
Hey +dottotech, I'm not sure if you've found this out already since this video is from 2014, but I, too, don't like when they add extra labels so I use opt to 'HIDE THE LABEL' using the little drop-down arrow next to the menu item's name. This way, the label is still there when I need it but isn't visible. Hope that helps! =)
We love Google Apps and cant live without it. So much so we even made our own
Desktop App for it (for Windows and Mac) Easily access all your Google
accounts from one simple interface! https://www.GetGamma.net/
You know if you use anything from Google that they know everything about you, your friends and your family and if you're also using an Android device and you need to have you Google account connected to it as soon as you want to go online and get your apps updated and that will reveal even more about you to Google.
Google of course isn't sharing that publicly but I'm a beta tester for them and an insider so believe me when I'm saying that Google probably knows more about you than you know about yourself and they are tracking your online behavior already for years and you're not even aware of that.
Be a sceptic all your want, I know it already too late for everyone so instead of being stuck in your little world and holding yourself back you should get yourself out of the way, open your eyes, do what you love and live a much happier life.
Why give someone authorization to "View and Modify" your emails?!? Just to find the size? You can do this easily by searching "larger:5m" (emails larger then 5Mb), etc -- https://gmail.googleblog.com/2012/11/search-for-emails-by-size-and-more-in.html
I know this is an old video but... is there a.free way in g-mail to send Read Receipts? . Because the free Gmail there is not. And I can't find a free way to send one. And I do not use google chrome. I use Internet explorer11 and Microsoft edge. I don't use Mozilla thunderbird... like I use to before I got my SSD drive because... that would add writes to my SSD drive because.... Mozilla thunderbird is on your desktop and so are your e-mails are to... unlike g-mail that is only on the web. Mozilla thunderbird is a desktop email client that works with any e-mail even Gmail. Thanks
I added Rapportive and can see the Linkedin profiles. However, the most useful part of the addon for me was the ability to see your recent correspondence with the person you are emailing. This is not showing. Is there something else I need to do?
I also find this video usefull, in particular Boomerang that I installed at once. But having used it for some days, I wondered, is this legal? I mean, Boomerang gather so much information about the recipient and gives so much insight that it makes me think that Boomerang is too efficient. (Legal also depends under which legislation you are). What do you think?
hello: found out gmail does allow one to find large attachment. see belowTo search for attachments in Gmail, the search parameter is has:attachment – this will bring up all emails with an attachment. To find attachments over a certain size – to clean up your email – you can do this using size:. So, to search for large attachments you could use the search size:10M – this will show all emails with attachments larger than 10MBCombine this search with the older_than parameter to find mail older than a certain period. For example older_than:2y will find mail more than 2 years old; older_than:30d finds mail over 30 days old.Thank you for the info on boomerang.
You might want to update your findings on rapportive. For instance the 'Raplets' section is no longer on their site. The 'Notes' option doesn't appear for me either. Overall the plugin looks great in your video, but so far I'd give it a "meh" in practice, so maybe they have changed, and for the worse?
+dottotech Thank you for your reply. To be clearer on my comment, in the window to right of Gmails inbox window under the LinkedIn information box, I have noticed that I don't have any option to 'add a note for this person' or recent mail option so I can search for emails from that particular recipient.
I was also wondering if I this particular feature is still active or not?
The problem is not that Facebook and Google are the only advertising platforms. The problem is that they are considered mainstream media and without these two, the trend of cryptocurrencies gaining legitimacy is delayed. That is right, I said delayed not blocked or prevented.
The World Has Changed.
Five years ago, when bitcoin was unknown to most people, this might have been a fatal move. Today is a different story. I recently traveled to a remote mountain town in the interior of Mexico. Everyone I met had heard about Bitcoin and eyes lit up with excitement when I ask if I could pay for lunch with bitcoin.
Today are dozens of websites dedicated to cryptocurrencies, either holding them, exchanging them or just writing about them. Probably the most effective advertising remains on Google, it is called Google Search and it is free.
If someone wants to learn about owning bitcoin or any other currency, there is a ton of educational information.

Not All Regulation Is Inherently Bad.
If we examine the full spectrum of regulation to this point on a global scale there is one common target most everywhere. That is the practice of exchanges. So far there has been little or not regulation, threatened or enacted, to protect investors from loss of funds due to security breaches.
Capitulation Is A Good Sign.
