Anyone watching this in 2018 or later: some of this has changed. Exact match keywords have been rendered almost meaningless. Google now gives itself permission to match "exact match" keywords against search terms that are significantly different than the exact keywords your bidding on. Essentially Google has made exact match nearly the same as modified broad, and almost indistinguishable from phrase match. They can take out words, put words in, change the word order, and change the actual words used. They just have to decide the intent is the same, whatever the hell that means now.

Target search page location only affects your bid by raising or lowering it automatically. "Final placement is ultimately determined by the outcome of the ad auction, which is influenced by advertiser competition and Quality Score."
The problem is not that Facebook and Google are the only advertising platforms. The problem is that they are considered mainstream media and without these two, the trend of cryptocurrencies gaining legitimacy is delayed. That is right, I said delayed not blocked or prevented.

Five years ago, when bitcoin was unknown to most people, this might have been a fatal move. Today is a different story. I recently traveled to a remote mountain town in the interior of Mexico. Everyone I met had heard about Bitcoin and eyes lit up with excitement when I ask if I could pay for lunch with bitcoin.
Today are dozens of websites dedicated to cryptocurrencies, either holding them, exchanging them or just writing about them. Probably the most effective advertising remains on Google, it is called Google Search and it is free.
