How To Rig The Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullet On A Jighead

266 ratings | 24084 views
Have you fished with the Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullet yet? It's becoming one of our favorite soft plastic baits for catching redfish, speckled trout, flounder, snook, and even tarpon (especially when the bait in the area is a bit smaller and we need to match hatch with a smaller profile bait). This this Gulp Swimming Mullet is pretty deadly on a jighead. And about a month ago, we posted an in-depth review of the Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullet with underwater footage, pros and cons, etc. But one question we received was "how to rig the swimming mullet? Hence this video tutorial (note: to see the full review, click here - https://www.saltstrong.com/articles/gulp-swimming-mullet-review/) So in this video, we focus on how to properly rig this lure, what mistakes most anglers make, and a few other tips on getting the most out of this swimming mullet. Any questions on it? Let us know in the comments. I personally love rigging these on a bucktail jig. Works great on trout and redfish around my area.

Throw it out, buy Zman

+Salt Strong ill still take Zman over gulp any day of the week, twice on sunday. Never noticed a difference with the gulp. I actually catch more fish with the Zman. Gulp is over rated, over priced.

Zmans are definitely much tougher than Gulps. But Gulps seem to get more strikes, so I always keep some on hand for days when the fish are not aggressively hitting. Plus, I have not found any soft plastic that can be as useful as Gulps after they get ruined by larger fish... chunking the used ones into small pieces can catch a ton of live bait as shown in this video: https://www.saltstrong.com/articles/how-to-catch-pinfish/
