Another awesome tech tip! Clearly described and works great, no more flip flop between gmail accounts. Especially valuable on a hand held device. Thanks

Thanks for your question, Mike. I don't have any such videos at this time but I'll certainly keep this in mind. Thanks for watching!

Hi Scott, I was wondering if you could direct me to any videos you’ve made on how to forward yahoo email to gmail on iPhones only? I’m using an iPhone 6! As always great videos! Keep it up.
Simpletivity (7 months ago)
You're very welcome, Neil. Enjoy no longer switching between accounts!

Whats the maximum number of emails I can combine? I have 6 gmails.
Donald Murataj (1 day ago)
And also 1 outlook, so can I put all 7 in one?

Sorry for asking again but I got ANOTHER question😂say that I have Instagram or some other type of social media and I sign in using my old Gmail. If I sign in with the NEW gmail with the merged old Gmail using the same password to sign in to my social media account, would I still have everything like my pictures, followers, etc. Or would I have to make a new one
Simpletivity (12 days ago)
Remember, these accounts are not actually merging. You are just forwarding one email account to another. The 'old' account is still active and would remain associated with other services. But you could enjoy the convenience of dealing with it within the 'new' account.
Anthony Garcia (13 days ago)
Also another thing,I used my old Gmail account for the play store and other apps, whenever I delete a app that's signed in with my old Gmail and install it again, all the information in the app is gone, so what I do is sign in with my old Gmail to get the information back that I lost. so if I sign in with the NEW Gmail account with the merged old Gmail account, would i still get my lost information as if I were signing in with the old Gmail or do I have to still sign in with my old one to obtain my lost information?
Simpletivity (12 days ago)
Forwarding email accounts will not change your login email address for other sites or services.
Anthony Garcia (13 days ago)
I have a question, so would all my mail from the old email account be transferred to the new one?
Anthony Garcia (12 days ago)
Thxs👍
Simpletivity (12 days ago)
That's correct. If you set it up as shown in the video, all future mail will be forwarded to the other account.

Ok I'm confused

Can you use more than 2?
ok because i have several accts that i have to keep logging into.So hopefully what you showed in the video will help.
Simpletivity (2 months ago)
Yes, I believe you could use the same password...but I wouldn't recommend it.
Is it possible to use the same password then for all gmail accounts?
Simpletivity (2 months ago)
Yes, you certainly can. Just follow these steps for additional accounts.

This was great. Is there any way to color code the incoming email so you can tell at a glance which email address it’s coming from?
Simpletivity (3 months ago)
Yes, you can do exactly that and it's not that hard. Let me show you how in this video: https://youtu.be/CuTJRvjYzlQ

Will this work if my school email is being deleted? I'm forwarding it to my personal email
Simpletivity (4 months ago)
No, if the forwarding email account is deleted, you will not be able to use that address.

What you're showing is exactly what I want to do, but where are those tabs you're clicking on?
Simpletivity (4 months ago)
To add more tabs to your web browser, select the small tab directly to the right of the open website at the top of your screen.

Very nice tutorial. I followed it. And wanted some more guidance to resolve the issue with merged accounts. I have to merge 23 gmail accounts of employees with the default gmail account of the office. But only 9 gmail accounts successfully forward the filtered emails, others fail to block the un-filtered emails which use to reside in Inbox. Please guide whats going wrong?
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
You are very welcome. I'm glad this video could help you out!
J K (5 months ago)
Sorry Sir if my queries irritated you. Actually I had not selected the required way of forwarding mails. Your tutorial traches how to forward ALL mails. But my goal is to forward only some mails. For this, I disabled the forwarding all mails and proceeded with "filter messages like these". Now the warning notification shows that your filter is forwarding only some mails to that address. Again thanks a lot for your tutorial which enabled me to manage multiple accounts in such a powerful way.
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
I don't believe that the filters should affect the forwarding.
J K (5 months ago)
Sir in case when filter on second account is applied to forward emails incoming from that address, then any email directly send to the default account will not be filtered? Only incoming emails will be filtered and forwarded?
J K (5 months ago)
No sir. This is school. Where each staff member recieves salary slip in their gmail accounts from govt. And I wanted to merge all those accounts with school's account to get salary slip forwarded into it to lessen the logging in effort separately for all 23 accounts to get salary slips.

Can you connect 2 accounts and then connect that 1 but 2 email account to another
gamer_ pro96836 (5 months ago)
Simpletivity ok thanks
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
That's an interesting question. I haven't tested this out yet, so I'm not sure.
Rover Z (5 months ago)
Can I do this between outlook accounts?
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
Yes, you can have the forwarding account be an Outlook account if you want everything to happen within Gmail.
Megumin (5 months ago)
Thanks for this tutorial i really appreciate ! Can i receive emails from both of my accounts?
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
You are very welcome! Yes, you can still receive from both accounts (and even more if you decide to forward from others).

Thank you for a very helpful video. Everything worked for me up to 8:25. Instead of the "Verify your email address," I got one that said "Send mail through your SMTP server" and "SMTP Server, Username, Password, Port etc." Where did I go wrong?
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
This could occur if you are using an email with a custom domain name. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/free-smtp-server/

Thanks for the tech-tip complicated but clear, I have a question, do you know how to consolidate G+ and youtube too?
Roberto Salazar G. (1 month ago)
Hello Birgit. Let me tell you that unfortunately G+ will be soon deactivated from Google probably within 6 months or something like that. They realized was useless for many people besides was hacked.
Simpletivity (5 months ago)
Thanks for watching, Birgit. As for your question, the following article may be helpful to you: http://www.thewayoftheweb.net/merge-existing-google-page-youtube-channel/

I have some personal business emails that I wouldn't want my employees to view.
Gina Gilreath (6 months ago)
Simpletivity Thank you!!!
Simpletivity (6 months ago)
I see. At 2:40 in the video, you can see that there is an option to filter the email which is forwarded to the second account. You can select that link to learn how to set that up. I hope that helps!
Gina Gilreath (6 months ago)
I have a small business and wanting to add a second Gmail account for my employees. But when I set everything up all my personal emails from primary account were in my new second account. Is the anything I could do? I want to be able to be selective on what is forwarded to them. Thanks
Simpletivity (6 months ago)
Hi Gina. The process described in this video will forward all emails from one account to the other. Am I assuming correctly that your business email address is used for both business and personal communication? If so, you may want to create separate accounts so that only the business address is forwarded to the second account (intended for your employees).

Will this work the same way with a Gmail account and a g-suites domain account? Which one should become the main account? (The one we should primarily operate from.) When you create a new email, is the contact list available for either email address? Thanks, allen s.
Simpletivity (9 months ago)
Yes, this process will work when combining a standard Gmail account with a G-Suite domain account. As for which one should be the main account, it comes down to personal preference. You may want to use the G Suite account as the primary since there could be additional features and/or permissions associated with that account. As for your Contacts list, they will not be combined as a part of this process. But after a period of time, the primary account will start to learn and acquire contact names from the secondary account.

I did the very exact thing between two of my google accounts and everything looked fine (the same as in the video) but the email sent to the dark account does not show up in the clear one. Why could this be happening?
Simpletivity (10 months ago)
In my experience, the main difference between these two is time. Checking mail from other accounts is typically not instantaneous. So you may not see the email from the other account in your primary account for several minutes to up to an hour. Therefore, I usually recommend using the Forwarding technique so that the emails are received as soon as they hit the other account.
suitangil (10 months ago)
yes! everything worked fine until the test. By the way, how is your method related to the "Check mail from other accounts" in the "Accounts and import" tab of Gmail settings? Are they the same? Thank you very much for answering!
Simpletivity (10 months ago)
It's hard to say. Did you see the pink notice at the top of the account that you were forwarding from (the dark account in my example) at 5:05 in the video?
William Barker (10 months ago)
Question what happens to the mail thats already in the other inbox the one we are forwarding from
Simpletivity (10 months ago)
Hi William. When setting up your email forwarding, you get to choose what happens to messages in the 'from' inbox. Take a look at the video at 4:08 to see those options.
Sandra Kupny (10 months ago)
Thanks for the video. Is there a way of adding filters that will add an automatic label to the emails from the 'unwanted' mailbox?
Simpletivity (10 months ago)
Yes, you certainly can. Here's how to make such a filter: 1. In the search box, search for messages sent to your email address (i.e. to:[email protected]). 2. Then select the small arrow on the right side of the search box - this will display the advanced search menu. 3. Select 'Create filter with this search' 4. Select 'apply a label'. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Noah D (11 months ago)
Is this possible with more than one email account? I.e., hooking multiple accounts to one single account for managing all email.
Simpletivity (11 months ago)
Yes, absolutley. There is not limit on how many accounts you can forward to Gmail and then reply 'as is'. Just follow the same steps that are outlined here for each acount. Thanks for watching!
Lex Williams (1 year ago)
Will this apply to the calendar and reminders also for the tranfered account or just the email?
Simpletivity (1 year ago)
Making these changes will have no direct effect on your calendars. Any emails that your secondary account receives would also appear in the primary inbox. So if you receive email reminders from your secondary Google Calendar, they would also appear in your primary Gmail account. I hope that makes sense!
David Stone (1 year ago)
Great video Scott. How does this impact Google Drive, if at all? Keep up the excellent work. Note: I have also been studying your Trello series as well.
Simpletivity (1 year ago)
Performing this process does not really merge your accounts together. It is only forwarding one (or more) email accounts to your primary Gmail account. As for storage space, the new forwarded emails would count towards your total storage space in the primary Google account.
Tim Bushell (1 year ago)
So with two accounts the mail space and drive spare is still - twice, they don't merge?
Simpletivity (1 year ago)
Thanks, David. These changes will have no effect on Google Drive or other Google apps. All emails received in one account will also appear in the other, including notification emails from Drive or other such applications.

Nice one... I will use the trick.... Thanks...
