Hello Steve very nice video,  My question is how do I reset the survey so I can use it over and over again.  I'm sure I overlooked the reset button?
dottotech (3 years ago)
+Odis Malone There is a terrific support forum for Google Drive, I am not certain if there is a reset, or if you just need to empty out the cpature document. but try here...https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/drive

Love your videos - brilliant.  Really relevant, informative and entertaining all in one.  About the forms feature:  I used it once a while ago to gather info from clients, but it seemed that if they weren't already signed up to google apps (and most of my clients weren't), they were "forced" to do so before being able to fill out the form.  Has that changed, or did I set it up wrong or something? Thanks
dottotech (4 years ago)
+Sarah Firnberg Thanks so much for the kind words Sarah! As far as I know if you just share the link to the form, anyone should be able to fill in the info, with or without a Google account.
Yu Zhengwen (4 years ago)
You didn't mention one of its major features: regular expressions! It is very powerful and can build stuff like captcha, email (if the person did not fill in a valid email address, then don't allow him to submit, and numbers must be above XX which opens to another world!)

Hey Steve great training! I have a question about using Google forms I am hoping you can give me a solution to.  Can Google forms once submitted, populate the data in an a spreadsheet that has been uploaded to Google Drive. Not just a Google Sheet. Say I open up my uploaded spread sheet and Go to tools and create a form. I would like the form to out put responses into my linked spreadsheet. Is that possible??? Hope this makes sense ;)
dottotech (4 years ago)
Hey +KD Richard I will take a look at this by the end of the week, I am going to have to try a few things out.
Yogesh Sawant (4 years ago)
I need to create a form where team member can enter some basic information about them selves & should able to attach the document (DOC or PDF). Please advice.
dottotech (4 years ago)
No it is a pretty straightforward process, you can;t really mess up!
Yogesh Sawant (4 years ago)
I will try then.. any shortcut you aware of?
dottotech (4 years ago)
Google forms should be able to do what you need,
Ronald Scott (4 years ago)
This is the coolest.  Be careful when you create them, I don't think you can edit them after you send one.
dottotech (4 years ago)
Good point Ronald!

You did an excellent job explaining how Google Forms works. Great job! Will subscribe to your videos. Are you on Twitter?
Bill Welsford (4 years ago)
As an educator (UK) I will need to set up a website (in Google Sites) and embed an HTML form on that (for example Maths homework) the students all have ID numbers, so I will see if this will work. I would really like it if I could set the answers, and for the form could give a final score.

Thanks Steve...I was planning to get a forms tool and every product I come across are expensive..did nothing..came straight to your channel got the info I need..thanks once again...

Thanks for the quick simple look at Google Forms. Good for someone who has a little bit of knowledge of Google Forms. Do you have more in depth videos on this topic?
Andrew Schwartz (5 years ago)
Thanks for this video Steve. Too often I hear people complaining about the Google Tools, but this looks like a great one for doing research on projects for Stakeholder expectations and requirements and setting up contract relationships.

Hi Steve... I was wondering how would i be able to set different paths depending on what questions have been answered. For example, im looking to create a form that needs information entered but the questions vary depending on which type. So if i was doing information on an interview (1 to 1) questions will be different for lets say a focus group where it can go up to 15 people. Is this possible with google forms?
Thank you Steve for this informative video! I do have a question for you. I know that I am able to allow respondents to view their responses. But what I want to do is be able allow each respondent to their submission/responses only/privately. NOT allowing other respondent to see each others responses/submissions. The form I created has a drop down menu with more than one person/respondent and those responses/submissions end up on one excel spreadsheet. Is there a way I can do this?
Elaine James (5 years ago)
Steve- Thank you for your excellent training! Can more than one person be defined as 'Owner' of form? How do I define owner? I don't see the FORM option next to TOOLS in the bar at top.
Earl Powell (5 years ago)
Dude is rockstar! Acting like a Tech boss! Thanks, Steve.
mrgoodburker (5 years ago)
I know google forms automatically "timestamps" the entries in the response spreadsheet, but is there a way for it to automatically include the email address in the response spreadsheet as well, without me asking each respondent to enter their email address? I would to make the form as simple as possible without too many questions or tyoing for the respondent.

I think I might make a quiz for my students using Google forms. Thanks for the info and inspiration.
Mel Burgess (5 years ago)
Love it. Thanks for all that you share - valuable stuff!
Gustavo Martínez (5 years ago)
Hi, i need to know if google forms evaluate the answers of just capture the info. Thanks.
dottotech (5 years ago)
If I were doing a registration for a workshop, I would use eventbrite tons of control for registration, free if you are not charging and you can limit the number of registrations.
sorsomarritza2010 (5 years ago)
