Thanks Brian for a great video. I have a small tutoring business where the invoicing is monthly and currently i use paypal what solution/WF would you suggest (customer experience and lowering cost). Ideally I would like to close the loop ( invoice status to paid when paid), and sending reminders. Can I somehow get this data to my webpage(site) where the customer's given some kind of detail should be able to see their pending amounts/invoices and buttons to pay them ?
What country is your company located in? Do you have stripe as a payment processing option in your country?
For invoicing I would recommend www.simplypay.me and you can connect it to your stripe account.
For payments on your website I would recommend thrivecart. You'll need a special link to buy thrivecart so if you want to go that route let me know and I'll send you the link. It's not open to the public right now
Hi Brian,I am so glad I found your fantastic video.I am a college graduate who is in the process of building a Soccer training academy business.I want to be able to provide an online payment page for my clients.Which one of these would you recommend me?Website is coming off of the WIX platform.
Daniel. It's depends on what process you want to take your customer through.
If you just want them to make a payment, set up a stripe account and connect it to the stripe plugin module.
There are lots of tools not covered in this video so if you want to talk, go to the contact page on my website and book a call:

Hello Brian, great video. my question is that i live in Lebanon and we don't have Paypal and strips and these things. i am trying to have a website that sells subscription cards which when i get paid the card details will be sent to the customer by email. which way is the best way knowing that i want to be able to send the card as soon as possible to the customer, so which way would not allow the customer to change his mind after paying. thank you in advance

First off, you want to give the customer the option to get a refund (change their mind) because if you don't clearly state that you have a no-refunds policy, you're opening yourself up for a chargeback situation. With that, it sounds like you have a custom solution because you're involving the delivery of a product AND the transaction (payment) itself. So you'll need to accept the payment, and then have a system that will digitally deliver your product to your customer. again, it's a custom solution and hard to give you all the considerations in a comment like this.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! ~Brian.
Hi, I sell pdf quilt patterns and now send my clients from my website to Etsy or Craftsy to check out. I want to sell on my own WordPress website. Do I need a separate plug-in for the pdf to download after they pay with paypal ?
Yes I'm sure there is a plugin that will accomplish that that is password protected, but also you can do a digital delivery right within woocommerce.
Your question is a good payment workflow request because the delivery of the product in this case goes beyond the payment, of course.
Hi, am looking for something that can allow me to pass credit card details in a web service, without having to redirect, or display a payment form, I want to store all credit card details on my own server. Only my business account can be signed up to the gateway.
My customers pay there bills over a period of time, each payment scenario requires a recurrence. And sometimes they can pay back some of the payment in cash before the recurrence can complete, hence altering the recurrence amount and duration. We want all such scenarios to be handled in a flexible way
I'm not sure I understand the payment scenario where you would prefer to not show a payment form but still want data to be passed through a web service. Please expand a little bit...
As for storing credit card data on your own servers. I don't recommend it. There are Services out there that allow you to store tokens for recurring payment or repeat orders. So that's a solution I would look into. Storing credit card numbers on your own servers is a PCI compliance violation and it really opens you up to a lot of liability risk.
BancardSales I set up a Facebook business page and I been seeing people not having to use any of those 3rd party to check out. but I cant seem to set it up. I think facebook shop page is setup with stripe. Do you know how to set it up from Facebook?
You don't need a website to collect payments. You can use invoice services like www.SimplyPay.me or Wufoo.com and plug your Stripe account into those services and then you have a hosted payment page for your customers to pay you. let me know if you have any other questions.

Tim, how do you mean? Do you mean how to keep track of what and individual customer has paid to you (i.e. payment history) ?
Or, how to track customer activity within a CRM for example?
There's lots of ways to track a customer it just depends on what and how you want to track.
Your best option without getting into something custom, so to set up a Wordpress Website for your orders and configure this through the Woocommerce shopping cart software. I don't know that it can be done (the way you are describing) within the interface of Wix. I believe that Wix is a simpler website builder and it doesn't allow for as many customizations such as the one you are seeking. If you need help with the configuration and the website gateway, reach out and I'll help you set it up. -Brian
I'm thinking of an order form with a cart where shipping and billing address is collected. The user creates an account to track purchase. The billing information will go to a third party gateway to collect and process payment (one-time or recurring subscription based on a 3 or 6 month period).
Thanks for watching. Regarding the recurring payments. 2 part question for you: 1- Do you require that the customer fills out their own credit card information on a payment page, which then triggers a recurring subscription payment? OR do you have an order form of some sort that allows you to manually collect payment securely and then you will manually trigger the recurring payments (i.e. billing plan function)?
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish with the payment system.
What are the answers to the 3 questions I asked at the end of the video? (For you)

You don't have to be a "business" to accept credit cards. You can be a sole proprietor and set up a merchant account. You do need to specify the reason you are going to be taking credit card payments i.e. what are your receiving payments for.... (goods or services)
Dont use Stripe folks. They'll ruin your business. They are a horrible in-between for a customer wanting to give you cash, and you getting the cash. Stripe is incompetent, and has no channel of communication with customers. It thinks its generic FAQ's is "customer support".
I just went through too much trouble with stripe, and ended up NOT buying, because of Stripe. I wanted the product, but stripe got in the way of the transaction, and there is no recourse.
If you get Stripe, you'll remember this warning.

Yes there is a plugin (Instant Accept) that costs $20 per month that allows you to integrate into QuickBooks.
I offer it free with my merchant account program.

You don't need a website to collect payments. You can use https://www.simplypay.me
You just need an invoice software to send a payment page links to your clients. (Never send stripe account number)
Check out https://www.simplypay.me
For invoicing with Stripe
Hey Brian, great video, the item I am selling is high risk and most U.S. banks do not want to support it, however it is completely legal to buy and sell. How can I directly bill the customers CC??? Paypal, Stripe, and Square also do not work with my product. I am using WOO COMMERCE. but my MID has shut me down, citing that they are no longer supporting my product as well, and they won't send my payout :( I've never had a single chargeback.. pls help me find a solution. thank you
If you're MID has been shut down, you have to deal directly with them. That's the only option. If you need a NEW merchant account, I can help you. If you haven't already, go here and fill out the form and schedule a meeting with me: https://www.bancardsales.com/call/
Thank you for the informations. Very instructive. Is there a particular reason why you did not include SQUARE ? Are they a bad plateform/service ? What I like about them is that I can also accept payment in person via my phone with their "physical" credit cards. People like that and I can't do that with Paypal (I think).
I just didn't include it here because Square isn't primarily an online processing solution. They are better known for their mobile solution. I'll have other videos in the future comparing Square and the other aggregator payment solutions (Stripe and Paypal) to merchant account solutions. Thanks for watching!
I did a review on Cardconnect and found out they have a lot fees and for a small bussiness owner is a killer, anyone knows of a cheaper way?
$9.95 monthly account fee
$10.00 monthly wireless data fee (this only applies if you have a wireless terminal)
$8.25 monthly PCI compliance fee
$9.95 monthly PCI non-compliance fee
$10.00 monthly gateway fee
$20.00 monthly minimum
$25.00 per occurrence chargeback fee
There are plenty of options and there are variables to that question that are unique to each user. See Below:
1- Is the product/service your selling a fixed price (the same every time)? 2- How many products/services to do offer for sale? 3- Which merchant account/payment service provider do you want to use?
To generate a fixed "Pay Now" button that goes along with an invoice watch this video (there is an application and this is for US based companies): https://youtu.be/x4DR5BGzOL4
If you have variable products and want to use individual buttons on your website watch this video and sign up for SimplyPay.me: https://youtu.be/8q3RopVAMnI
Both of those options will work with Wix. reach out if you have further questions! ~Brian.
im planning on using stripe but im a little uneasy with them asking for my ein number and giving the irs a statement of stripe transactions/income when im already transfering the money to a wells fargo business account anyway... the tax implications...? idk
Also, im considering using BACS wire transfer since i have an ssl certificate, but is an ssl certificate really secure enough? what is norton or macafee really selling you when they protect your site? seems like youre only paying for their badge on the bottom of your site to make people feel better.
Im already paying 2.9% plus some change per transaction at my bank (starting when i have over 200 transactions that month) so why do i have to pay 2.9% + 30c and then pay again when it goes to my bank account... also what happens when i pay tax? i pay tax on my stripe income so what happens with the income im showing in my business bank account?
I'm not sure what you're asking? Every merchant account company and PSP (Payment Service Provider like Stripe) generally asks you for this information. If you're running a real business you are going to have to pay income tax on the revenue generated so again, I'm not sure what you mean about "tax implications"?. *Disclaimer* I'm not an accountant and am not qualified to give tax advice.
Thank you a lot. I have a somehow complicated need: I need to get some money, hold it for a while, and then pay a party the amount minus a percentage (I am a middleman). Meanwhile, the transaction could be also cancelled within a shorter timeframe, and I would then give back the money to the PAYER minus, again, my percentage. Strip CUSTOM could do but it's very expensive on the long run. Would a TOTALLY customisable do? I get it's a yes on the programming part of it, but what about the actual management of the money and of the credit card data? Best wishes and thanks in advance to any helper.
Excellent video Brian. I'm in the auto repair business and have been searching for a "remote payment" solution for years now. Is it possible to contact you via phone call? I'd love to get more specific information if possible.
Yes I'd be happy to talk. If you fill out this short form, I will receive an email and I'll call you immediatley and we can talk. www.getcardpointe.com/apply (it's not an application it's just a request to talk) I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Have a great day!
Great work but for payments, what can be done for a site that needs to accept payments but include a FORM "data" that is entered in along with the payment. Say a user comes along to my site and enters certain data in a form and that determines the amount and proceeds to the payment gateway AND ONLY after the payment is processed then the data from the form is included and sent along for processing? Any ideas on that ?? Jotforms is the closest, what else?
Thank you but that limited t the amount of submissions and each page is a submission so it would be only one higher priced alternative NOT FREE like STRIPE and PAYPAL offer .. JOTforms offers similar but overall cheaper..Thank You
+John B >> I get it and that is a common response.
My response to you is very simply: software is a cost of doing business and every business has some sort of cost. so Wufoo is 20 bucks a month for unlimited forms... that's a great value in my book.
I believe that software (Wufoo in this case) can dramatically improve the experience for your customers) and there is a big value to that.
I subscribe to the idea of focus on getting more sales rather that NOT buying a software because it costs too much
thanks for watching!
Yeah , Wufoo is great just like jotforms but its a huge added expense to the system after everyone gets a cut your left with little.. I would think there is a Better or should I say cheaper idea to do this..Wufoo = $$$$$$$$$$$$.. meaning less for you!
Thanks for watching. Good question and I'll have another video coming out in the "Payment Workflow" series that shows a couple examples of how to accomplish this using Wufoo or Gravity Forms for example. It's always JUST a matter of what software you're using and what software you have access to purchase.
In the meantime, I have a video published a while back that uses forms and I think this addresses what your asking: https://youtu.be/BUOrAi9UYSM
Take a look and comment back if you have further question. You can also schedule a call with me if you'd like to chat: www.bancardsales.com/call
hello my name is Jerry from Nigeria, am actually finding it difficult to get a payment from my customer on my shopify store. haven't watch and listen to your video i felt the CRM. I will need your help in setting it up. You can pls contact me on [email protected]
Will be expecting your response
Very interesting, thank you... but I'm still lost !
I had been convinced by a shopping cart solution, Samcart, paid for months and never used it, finally canceled it.
I understand that there are many options... I would dearly appreciate a piece of advice.
I am a consultant and I had to have transfer payments to my bank with US and Australian clients (B2B) hich is not satisfying, of course!
I have 2 or 3 programs that I am ready to launch online, a 2 hour workshop and a 6 week group program.
I have a US based bank account and one in my country (South Pacific islands).
What would be the easiest option just to get started ? I could always change later on. I am stuck because of this and cannot promote my services online.
I have planned to use Wufoo forms for qualification, I saw it in your presentation, can it be used for payments ?
Thanks for any help that will be provided... :-)
Thanks for the comment. Yes Wufoo can be used for payments which is why I included it. Watch this video for details on how to use Wufoo for payments: https://youtu.be/BUOrAi9UYSM
As for the other questions on how to get started? I would suggest going through the questions at the end of the video. My recommendations for United States based bank accounts is a merchant account through https://www.getcardpointe.com/apply
If there are other specific questions you have, please feel free to reach out and ask.
My client wants a custom payment page, integrated with Stripe's or PayPal's API, to make direct card payments. Custom price amounts are a must, as well as reoccurring payments by the buyers will. I found the Stripe plugin by Diggable, but am not sure if you can make the buyer choose to have reoccurring payments or not, with one form.
Hi there, Brian, great video! I'm about to launch a website with seaside apartment renting (placed in Europe). Site will be designed in WP, The Gem theme (most probably). It will be a PayPal payment but I plan to put some other option too. What would you recommend for this type of business? Thanks in advance!
No shopping cart, no products. Single apartment renting web site with online booking and payment option. Answer to question #3 is that the budget is not big and I will do it by myself. By what I saw and checked so far Braintree looks like perfect solution but unfortunately it's not incorporated into non of two booking plug in I tested. These two plug ins have PayPal and Stripe options.
+JJ Drake >> thanks for watching.
I'd need to know more about your business to answer that.
What type of shopping cart do you want or need? how many products are you selling?
and what are your answers to the 3 questions I asked in the video. ?
I've had a bad experience with merchant service accounts; while they say they charge less $%, they nickel and dime you to death with ridiculous fees, lock you into a multi-year contract with stupid clauses that force you to follow stringent rules to end your account with them (read the very, very fine print) and charge whether you take any payment or not. These are not for small business people that do less than $5k per month in credit card transactions. Paypal is what I use now, and that saves me a few bucks per month, but swiping through an android phone or tablet doesn't always work (using the Paypal Here attachment). When you stop and realize just how much these credit card processors are skimming off the top of each transaction, it's no wonder that the richest assholes on the planet are bansters.
It was Merchant Tree and right from the beginning, the rep wanted to lie about my monthly amount I would do in CC sales. The contract was 5 or 6 pages with some of the smallest print I've ever seen on paper. What the rep said and what was in the fine print were much different. I'm out of it now for over 5 years. I may switch to Stripe from Paypal. I want to keep as much of my money as possible. Bankers don't need my money, they just waste it on yachts and Japanese massages.
+Archon Abraxas >> if you have had a bad experience with a provider I would encourage you to look at other providers because this could be a reflection ONLY of that company and not the entire industry anymore.
I completely understand your comment and there is a negative stigma sometimes, but that is changing.
the trend in the industry is (and has been for a little while now) for merchant service providers to NOT have contracts and most companies utilize pass through pricing for their clients.
PayPal, Stripe, and Square are all great options for businesses doing less than $5k per month in volume.
thanks for watching and commenting.
Enjoyed your video, helped me a lot. Have had a WS for years and been collecting via phone. I realize it causes us to loose clients, because everyone wants to just pay online. I do have a specific question. We sell travel, the airlines don't pay us anymore, how can i take a clients credit card, pay the airline and also add a commission on that card for our services?
+Fabian >> it's not required to have an SSL certificate for stripe but it certainly is recommended by stripe and I would recommend it as well.
As far as Google not ranking your site, again I don't think that that's true. There are reports that say that having an SSL certificate helps the visibility of your site with Google's algorithm but I don't think that they will not rank your site without it
+Jeff Turner >> are you asking for a PCI certification provider? most merchant account providers will require you to complete yearly certification questioneer and they automatically provide this with the merchant account.
if you want to become an affiliate partner to refer merchant accounts, I have an option for you but it is not through PayPal. There's a couple options through merchant account processors(some of them named in this video). If you want to learn more, reach out to me at: www.bancardsales.com/call
Miguel A. Carpio D. Is this contracted to multilevel years like the other guy said or just like paypal as it's stripe? Is it a mobile app for payments? Does it require much documentation n a credit card? Thanks
Hi, Thank you so much for the great content, we have a member base were customers are paying a upfront payment +on a regular basis, currently I am storing the CC info in a secure Excel sheet and using merchantcenter.intuit.com to processes the transactions, I need something more lucrative to store the CC info, I need to have access to the CC info in case we need to change something etc. so what would be a good solution to store credit card info?
Ephraimnmh if you want a secure portal to store transactions it's best to use a gateway with a vault function. That way you remain out of liability risk in case a data breach happens.
I have a couple solutions I can help you with. Reach out to me (Brian) directly at: www.bancardsales.com/call
Hey, First of all, Thanks a lot for the video it helps me a lot. By the way, I am interested in the choice #2. But I do not usually saw them in e-commerce or may be I just did not notice. We are developing e-commerce site in Japan what do you think is the best payment method?
Azam Noor have you seen www.simplypay.me? (create an account and try it for free) it's not a plugin but it is specifically for invoicing and it connects to stripe.
if it seems like a fit message back and we'll talk.
Do you have questions about any of the 5 ways? There are LOTs of ways to accomplish payments online within each category so comment below if you'd like to see a SPECIFIC way covered in a future tutorial!.
BancardSales Thank you for the video!
I bought a wordpress template. I am going to hire someone to customize it. The template has a shopping cart and it's almost ready to go, it just needs to be connected to a payment option. Is woocommerce the best solution for such thing? Are there any other options than woocommerce? Is there any detailed steps for that or I should just have the web developer to do with the customization? I live in Saudi not in the US, do I have to put something in my consideration?
The problem is not that Facebook and Google are the only advertising platforms. The problem is that they are considered mainstream media and without these two, the trend of cryptocurrencies gaining legitimacy is delayed. That is right, I said delayed not blocked or prevented.
The World Has Changed.
Five years ago, when bitcoin was unknown to most people, this might have been a fatal move. Today is a different story. I recently traveled to a remote mountain town in the interior of Mexico. Everyone I met had heard about Bitcoin and eyes lit up with excitement when I ask if I could pay for lunch with bitcoin.
Today are dozens of websites dedicated to cryptocurrencies, either holding them, exchanging them or just writing about them. Probably the most effective advertising remains on Google, it is called Google Search and it is free.
If someone wants to learn about owning bitcoin or any other currency, there is a ton of educational information.
The Flipside Is Being Ignored.
Not All Regulation Is Inherently Bad.
If we examine the full spectrum of regulation to this point on a global scale there is one common target most everywhere. That is the practice of exchanges. So far there has been little or not regulation, threatened or enacted, to protect investors from loss of funds due to security breaches.
Capitulation Is A Good Sign.
