Hey Steve, speaking of saving hours by being more productive have you ever explored voice dictation software. For people in the medical field, typing clinical notes consumes at least one day a week of our lives. Need your help if you can please. I trust your feedback highly. Thank you sir.

Steve: Is there a way in the new Gmail to replicate what happened in the prior version when you hovered over a sender name then clicked "email" which displayed their "to:email OR from:email" in the search window? That was a great tool to find all from a sender and or clean things up or create rules to dump in to trash etc.

Do you know the percentage of viewers who use a mobile phone vs.a computer.

What a great channel!

I am always amazed and disappointed about how many people reach for the mouse instead of using basic keyboard shortcuts. My favorites to teach are: Tab, Ctrl- C, X, V, and Z. Those few are (almost?) universal and save so much time. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink...

Steve out of topic here but commenting on most recent vid. OK i have gone paperless thanks to you! How could I open Evernote on my tablet then use a "pencil" to mark up the document and send it to someone? I miss my red pen!!! thank you

Enable keyboard shortcuts and save changes. 1. Shift + = list of shortcuts 2. (while at inbox, type) G --> C = contacts Thanks dotto tech. Keep them coming! Also, I like the slight playful temperament in your videos :).

I am from the old days of computing. (punch cards - whats that you say) Before even DOS we had text based PCs and NO Mouse. Shortcut keys are a must. Unfortunately most programmers today are lazy and rely on only coding for mouse clicks. What is stated in the video about saving time I already know but tell a younger person and well they know it all and I speak rubbish. Your videos are excellent. Any chance of looking at some Microsoft stuff. After all Bill Gates did save Apple from going out of business. (Wait for the moans from Apple users)

Very useful Gmail tips. But I wish there was a shortcut to view the subject field when replying or forwarding messages. Thanks!

I'm just boggled as to why there are no keyboard shortcuts for the new "snooze" feature. It pretty much renders it neutered right out of the gate. I'm still using boomerang because of 1. keyboard shortcuts and 2. customizable snooze days/times after you hit the keyboard shortcut. I'm also still a bit distressed by the look and slugishness of the new gmail :( ... oh and keep up the good work Mr. Dotto!

NEWSFLASH: While watching yr Vid in Chrome, I used SHIFT + ? and: 1) Chrome browser window responded w/ an appropriately customized Keybd Shortcuts menu for video content on YouTube; 2) ALSO, worked in Google Drive! 3) G'Photos! 4) Not New Google Sites. 5) NOT on G'Sheet. Keybd Shortcuts = Great TIP for anyone training others in Google Suite. Google is on fire, these days... we could be up 24/7 trying to keep up. Thx Steve.

Thanks. That helps. It's a shame they don't have it yet on sheets. I use it a lot.

This is also why your suggestion to use PopClip can be such a lovely time-saver. Bless you, my Old Man, for turning me on to PopClip several years ago!

I used to work on AutoCAD before I retired and used keyboard shortcuts in conjunction with lisp routines and scripts I wrote and by doing this I could produce in a day that other users who did everything by using the mouse and single commands took a week, at least, to do. As the adage goes, work smarter not harder.

I'm a huge proponent of using keyboard shortcuts. Why I didn't think of using them in Google, I don't know. Thank you so much!

Am I the only one who remembers the promise of "the mouse will save time" mantra? And I unwillingly trained myself to use the mouse instead of keyboard shortcuts? As always, Steve, great video.
