How Inflation Affect Foreign Investments of a Nation | Macroeconomics
This video shows you how inflation can affect foreign investments of a nation. When people have more money in their hand, their consumption increases, when that happens automatically price of commodities increases. Because govt cannot fully control the market. And when the price of the commodities are high that will result in high production cost because prices of commodities are the sum of input prices, cost of raw material, wages of labor, land prices and cost of capital, all these factors are related to production hence the cost of all these factors would go up. Going forward it will affect the demand of domestic commodities as well as foreign commodities. If the price of the commodities are high, then consumer spending will decrease, if domestic products are taking a hit because of this, just imagine foreign products would definitely take a bigger hit.

FDI source
The FDI Model developed by Ronald Wall at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) / Erasmus University Rotterdam. Animation was created with Alex Levering. This 3D-GIS animation depicts total foreign direct investment (FDI) sent by a few thousand global hub cities to 1200 destination cities worldwide (2003 - 2014). It is also know as source FDI. It is based on data by fDi Markets, ORBIS and IHS-Erasmus University. FDI is the investment made by multinational firms in particular cities, into production, control, service and marketing facilities in other cities around the world. These flows of capital tie world cities together into an extremely complex but hierarchic network. FDI is one of the key indicators of a cities integration into the world economy and it explains about 50% of global GDP. These foreign investments are in most cases beneficial to urban development, but can sometimes have a negative impact. Through econometric and GIS analysis I aim to measure the effect of FDI on global cities, or alternatively try to measure the factors which attract these investment to cities. Based on these outcomes I develop urban recommendations and policy how to support a city's economic growth.and make it more competitive. In this globe we see that unlike the many recipient cities in the destination FDI globe, that a more limited amount of cities have the power to invest in other cities around the world. The multinational headquarters in these hub cities control, to a large degree, the production, distribution, and marketing of most other cities around the world. The hubs cities are elite, established, prosperous locations like London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Zurich, Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam and Madrid. If we compare African cities in terms of destination FDI or source FDI, it is seen that many African cities are being invested into, but that very few hold the economic power to invest in other African or global cities. Therefore, not only do African cities need to attract more investment, they also need to become stronger global players and invest in other cities. This will make these cities less vulnerable and develop greater economic resilience. With big data availability and available algorithms an era has arrived where it becomes possible to technically and politically address the functional performance and structural geography of this disproportionately distributed worldwide system. The research forms part of the upcoming UN-Habitat "State of African Cities 2017" report. This work forms part of the Urban Competitiveness and Resilience (UCR) department at the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) / Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), The Netherlands. The UCR team consists of Ronald Wall (Department Head), Monserrat Budding-Polo Ballinas, Dorcas Nthoki, Marina Salimgareeva, Taslim Alade. What is FDI or Foreign Direct Investment
What is FDI or Foreign Direct Investment. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is an investment made by a company or entity of one country, into a company or entity based in another country. It makes companies achieve growth, leverages economies of scale in domestic markets, and foster results such as a higher production, profitability, job and wealth creation. FDI also exposes national companies to new ideas and practices, and might also involve an increase in export outflows. Foreign direct investments are distinguished from portfolio investments in which an investor merely purchases equities of foreign-based companies. So that is all about FDI. Webinar: Foreign Investment Structure seen as a 'colorable device' and held illegal
Foreign Investment Structure seen as a 'colorable device' and held illegal FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2015 SESSION: 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM (IST) INTRODUCTION The recent ruling of the Bombay High Court in IDBI Trusteeship v. Hubtown Ltd. has sparked much debate around permissible foreign direct investment structures. The Court disregarded individual steps which were within the regulatory framework? and looked at the entire series of transactions to hold that the intent of the transactions was in violation of the FDI policy. The judgment provides key insights into formulation of contractual and shareholder rights, and use of step down structures for foreign investment and encourages the following questions: Are downstream investments still legit? Does the regulator have the power to examine the spirit or substance of the transaction? What should be the parameters of structuring? Are there any assured return structures available?. Join us for an interactive Webinar on Friday, June 12, 2015 (India time) where we discuss and analyze the judgment and its impact on foreign investors. We will be sharing our Hotline on the judgment prior the Webinar. 5 Key Factors of Vietnam Economy Growth
We are making videos for fun. We have content from all over the world. World knows vietnam as famous tourist spot however this country is moving fast in Growth and development. In this video we would check what are 5 Growth boosters for Vietnam. 1. Asian Tiger in Manufacturing- Vietnam’s economy grew very smartly and GDP growth was 7.08 percent in 2018. Manufacturing industry, construction segment, agriculture and services recorded healthy growth rates. Manufacturing rose by 13% as compared to last year. Vietnam has boosted its profile as a manufacturing and export powerhouse, selling everything from shoes to smartphones. Trade accounts for about twice the nation’s gross domestic product -- more than any country in Asia apart from Singapore. “Vietnam is poised to capture some of China’s global market share in labor-intensive manufacturing,” according to Trinh Nguyen, a senior economist in Hong Kong. 2. Destination of Massive FDI Foreign direct investment in Vietnam climbed 9.1% in 2018 to reach $19.1 billion. This is a sixth straight annual record as capital keeps flowing into one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing economies. Industries such as apparel have been moving production out of China and into Vietnam looking to escape the higher U.S. tariffs. A prolonged trade war is expected to accelerate this shift. Vietnam is Asia's biggest beneficiary of the Sino-U.S. trade war. Vietnam's economy is highly dependent on foreign direct investment (FDI), not only in terms of industrial production or exports ,but also ownership structure by enterprises with foreign capital (now mostly 100% foreign capital; the foreign joint venture projects with local investors are few, only 17% of the total number of FDI projects. 3 Young and Vibrant Population .Vietnam, with a population of nearly 100 million, ranks third among the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, trailing just Indonesia and the Philippines. The country's middle-income population is expanding in large cities, including the capital and the southern commercial center, Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam today represents a country of opportunity and growth. It’s young, vibrant population is on the move and quick to adapt and embrace changing trends as more and more people move to urbanised areas for employment opportunities. Thanks to low costs, abundant young labour and easily navigated permit processes, investors from South Korea, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan have been building factories to produce goods such as electronics and apparel. While Vietnam’s economic growth is expected to thrive in 2019 , consumer optimism is high, the FMCG industry is growing with technology deployment and business models to cater to growing middle class. 3. Overwhelming Real estate   The development of the real estate market in recent years has made positive contributions to the sustainable development of the economy and social security in Vietnam, as well as provided a solid foundations for industrialisation and modernisation. Despite its novelty, the Vietnamese real estate market has been developing fast, changing urban landscapes, and raising living standards. Particularly, since 1999 Vietnam has developed on average more than 70 million sq.m of housing each year. In particular, developers from Singapore, Japan and South Korea have favored development sites in downtown areas and within close proximity to the metro stations. Local developers usually enter into joint venture agreements with foreign developers on the premise of optimising decision-making in site sourcing and project management. Massive tourism growth With over 3000 kilometers of coastline, pristine beaches, dynamic growing cities, mountainous highlands, and diverse cultural and historic sites, Vietnam’s tourism industry continues to rank amongst the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the world, with revenue in 2018 reaching VND620 trillion (US$26.75 billion), up VND110 billion (US$4.75 billion) compared to 2017. Since 2010, the number of international tourists has grown three-fold from 5 million to more than 15 million in 2018. Vietnam, recently named the “Asia’s Leading Destination” for the first time at the 2018 World Travel Awards, offers a variety of options for tourists such as cultural and historical tours, sea-based tours and adventure tours By 2025, the government aims to generate US$45 billion in revenue from the tourism industry, increase the sector’s contribution to the GDP to over 10 percent, and account for over six million direct and indirect jobs. 5 Key Factor of Vietnam Economy Growth #5keyfactor #vietnameconomy #growthofvietnam Keep watching and keep smiling !! current events china vlog

Newly revised China Foreign Investment Law – how does this impact companies incorpo
Establishing a legal presence in China is not as straightforward as incorporating an entity in the Western World. There are several aspects that require due consideration, including: • The general business scope and activity of the entity, which needs to be clearly defined from the start of the incorporation • The physical office requirement for the entity as its registered place of business • The structure and budget for the investment that need to be carefully thought through • The opening, operation, and maintenance of three sets of bank accounts in China for continuous operations On October 1st 2016, China changed its system for government control over foreign investment. The change was accomplished by revising the statutes concerning wholly foreign owned enterprises (WFOEs), equity joint ventures and contractual joint ventures and by promulgating a new basic regulation governing registration of foreign invested entities (FIEs). The big change under China's new system is that government regulation of foreign invested entities will move from a system that requires MOFCOM approval to one that will now just require a simple registration with MOFCOM. Many in the profession see the change in China's FIE laws as a move to open up China to increase foreign investment. In this webinar will discuss these topics in greater detail, as well as go over a pre-investment checklist as your guide to success.
