2,400 year old Greek trading vessel discovered | ITV News
The world's oldest intact shipwreck known to man has been discovered at the bottom of the Black Sea. A team of maritime archaeologists and scientists carbon dated the Greek trading vessel to 400BC - making it around 2,400 years old. The only problem is: it is more than one mile down. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Twitter: https://twitter.com/itvnews Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/

Wrecks of ancient trading ships found off Capri
1. Various underwater shots of wrecks and vases 2. Giovanni Torchia, marine biologist of Nautilus company and Archeomar project's scientific director, walking in and sitting at desk 3. Map showing Napoli and Capri 4. SOUNDBITE: (English) Giovanni Torchia, Marine biologist of Nautilus company and Archeomar project's scientific director: "In the sea near Capri at about 130 metres (427 yards) depth we found three wrecks, old wrecks, about two thousand years old. What is very interesting is that these wrecks are perfectly conserved, firstly because they are very deep, secondly because probably there is another world." 5. Various of mini submarine investigating the wreck 6. SOUNDBITE: (English) Giovanni Torchia, Marine biologist of Nautilus company and Archeomar project's scientific director: "We use ROV (robot) with camera and video camera able to go until 1000 metres (3,281 feet) and also a submarine that can drive two people until 600 metres (1968 feet)." 7. Various of light being sunk down to shine on wreck 8.SOUNDBITE: (English) Giovanni Torchia, Marine biologist of Nautilus company and Archeomar project's scientific director: "We understood that one of this boat transported wine, another transported fruit and another garum. Garum is a sauce. Now it's difficult to hypothesise from where these boats arrived, maybe from Spain, from France, maybe from north Africa" 9. Mini submarine exploring the wrecks and shining light on certain sections STORYLINE: Archaeologists exploring the bottom of the sea off the island of Capri have found the wrecks of three ancient ships that once plied the Mediterranean between Rome and northern African colonies. The wrecks were found off the island in the Gulf of Naples at a depth of 130 metres (427 feet), Giovanni Torchia, marine biologist of Nautilus company and Archeomar project's scientific director said. Footage of a mini submarine exploring the area showed fish nestled on piles of amphorae, the slender terra cotta storage containers the ancient Romans used to transport goods. Archaeologists said one of the wrecks, from the 1st century, had been transporting goods on the route between Rome and what is now Tripoli, Libya. A second ship, also from the 1st century, sank with a load of the containers, which were typical of those used to transport fruit, while the third vessel, from the 4th century, was laden with similar vases containing a popular condiment of the time based on a kind of fish sauce. The underwater expedition also found ships from medieval times, as well as more recent wrecks from World War II. Ancient Africans Discovered America Thousands of Years Ago
Africans had frequently sailed across the Atlantic to the Americas, thousands of years before Columbus and indeed before Christ. The great ancient civilizations of Egypt and West Africa traveled to the Americas, contributing immensely to early American civilization by importing the art of pyramid building, political systems and religious practices as well as mathematics, writing and a sophisticated calendar. The strongest evidence of African presence in America before Columbus comes from the pen of Columbus himself. In 1920, a renowned American historian and linguist, Leo Weiner of Harvard University, in his book, Africa and the discovery of America, explained how Columbus noted in his journal that Native Americans had confirmed that “black skinned people had come from the south-east in boats, trading in gold-tipped spears.” Sources: https://ancient-code.com/ https://www.globalresearch.ca http://www.ancientpages.com 💜 Subscribe and like if you enjoyed the video. HOW TO MAKE MONEY FAST! Still Make MILLIONS! | No Man's Sky Next Guide (See Pin)
No Man's Sky - HOW TO MAKE MONEY FAST! 100 MILLION IN 10 MINUTES! | No Man's Sky Next Guide Gameplay ►Help Me Reach 500K Subs - http://bit.ly/1Yd42D6 ►Never miss a video! Enable ‘ALL’ Notifications! ========== Game Overview: No Man's Sky is an action-adventure survival video game developed and published by the indie studio Hello Games for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game was released worldwide in August 2016. No Man's Sky's gameplay is built on four pillars — exploration, survival, combat, and trading. Players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally generated deterministic open universe, which includes over 18 quintillion (1.8×1019) planets, many with their own sets of flora and fauna. By exploring, players gain information about the planets that they can submit to the Atlas, a universal database that can be shared with other players of the game. Players get compensated in in-game currency every time new information is uploaded to The Atlas. Players also gain materials and blueprints to upgrade their character's equipment and purchase a variety of starships, allowing them to travel deeper into the center of the galaxy, survive on planets with hostile environments, interact in friendly or hostile manners with computer-controlled space-faring factions, or trade with other ships. Some activities, such as killing too many lifeforms or draining too many resources from planets, will draw the attention of patrolling robotic Sentinels that will attempt to kill the player character. Players participate in a shared universe, with the ability to exchange planet coordinates with friends, though the game is also fully playable offline; this is enabled by the procedural generation system that assures players find the same planet with the same features, lifeforms, and other aspects once given the planet coordinates, requiring no further data to be stored or retrieved from game servers. Nearly all elements of the game are procedurally generated, including star systems, planets and their ecosystems, flora, fauna and their behavioral patterns, artificial structures, and alien factions and their spacecraft. The game's engine employs several deterministic algorithms such as parameterised mathematical equations that can mimic a wide range of geometry and structure found in nature. No Man's Sky is a first-person, open world survival game. Players take the role of a planetary explorer in an uncharted universe. They start on a random planet at the edge of the universe, and are equipped with a survival spacesuit with a jetpack; a "multitool" that can be used to scan, mine and collect resources as well as to attack or defend oneself from creatures and other entities while on a planet; and a crashed spacecraft that, once repaired, allows them to land and take-off from planets and travel between them and engage in combat with other space-faring vessels. After performing enough resource collection to repair their spacecraft and leave the planet, the player is then free to engage in any of the four principal activities offered by the game: exploration, survival, combat, and trading. The player-character can collect information on the planets and the lifeforms and other features of these planets to upload to The Atlas, a galactic database as depicted in the game's cover artwork, which they are paid for with units, the in-game currency. Units are used to purchase new survival gear, tools, and spacecraft with more powerful abilities and defenses, allowing the player to explore more of the universe and survive in more hostile environments. Such upgrades can work in synergistic effects; the scanning feature of the multitool initially starts as a short-ranged directed beam, but can be upgraded to have much longer range, spanning all directions, and locating minerals and other resources buried in the ground. ========== Connect With Me Elsewhere: ★Discord Community: http://bit.ly/EntakDiscord ★Twitter: http://bit.ly/EntakTwitter ★Facebook: http://bit.ly/EntakFB Original Post: https://bit.ly/2uSQMMa Thumbnail Credit: https://bit.ly/2LPHDKM #NoMansSky #NoMansSkyHowToMakeMoney #NoMansSkyNext #NoMansSkyEasyUnits #NoMansSkyGuide

No Man's Sky - Trading (15-20 million units per trade route every 15-20 minutes)
Trading is another way to make lots of units in No Man's Sky and is a viable alternative to farming. Prepare a good amount of warp cells though, as you'll be visiting multiple star systems. If you're tired or bored of farming, or don't want your base to be too devoted to farming, then trading might be for you! You can earn up to 60,000,000 units per hour if you have multiple trade routes set up... if the systems are good enough. =============== Links: Economy: https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Economy Trade routes: https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Trade_route In-depth guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/6x6wzz/a_look_at_the_numbers_behind_the_economy_of_no/

No Man's Sky 1.3 - making 30,000,000 units/hour trading (buy/sell Dynamic Resonators)
(UPDATE 1.37) still works, changed a bit, but still makes over 50,000,000 units/hour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVfao_U_csI but now switching DRs with Trade Items you can make over 100,000,000 units/hour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMOvISW7KXQ (UPDATE 1.35) still works 0:00 - quick segment: me crashing the 'buy price' of Dynamic Resonators 1:40 - quick clips: me buying low/selling high to show it makes about 2-2.5 million units per run 2:52 - gameplay loop: shows the entire gameplay process and me making 15 million units in 30 minutes (UPDATE 1.34) still works Teleporting was changed slightly... Easiest fix is accept a Mission from your Buy System to keep it on your Teleport list. Otherwise, new teleport list change may add about 25 seconds per run, or about 2 minutes total (so 50m per 62 minutes :P So, if you find that when you arrive at your 'Sell System' than your 'Buy System' is not on the teleport list, then fix this my not warping from the Buy System -- Buy at Buy System, Teleport to _any_ other system, and Warp from there to new Sell System -- this will keep the Buy System on your teleport list when you try leave Sell System.) (ORIGINAL) Video shows me making about 30 million units per hour by buying/selling Dynamic Resonators. [FULL INSTRUCTIONS and VIDEO TRANSCRIPT below] 3 main parts of the vid: 0:00 - quick segment: me crashing the 'buy price' of Dynamic Resonators 1:40 - quick clips: me buying low/selling high to show it makes about 2-2.5 million units per run 2:52 - gameplay loop: shows the entire gameplay process and me making 15 million units in 30 minutes 1. find a system* with 100+ Dynamic Resonators** 2. buy them all and immediately re-sell at same location 3. teleport out of star system and back to reset Dynamic Resonators quantities 4. do this 3 total times (prices should crash to a 6600 buy price) 5. buy 100+ Dynamic Resonators at 6600 each 6. resell Dynamic Resonators in any*** new system for 26-28,000 each 7. ??? 8. profit :D *try a Wealthy star system economy: Rich, Booming, Affluent, Wealthy, etc sell much higher quantities **any item would work but you want the highest possible value per ship inventory slot + small difference between buy/sell premium to minimize loss when crashing the item price **try avoid poor systems as they can pay as low as 22,000; moderate wealth levels pay the highest up to 28,000 I think that with more practice, and if I can find a star system that sells closer to 150 Dynamic Resonators instead of 110, and also avoid selling in poor economies (they pay about 300K units less per run), I can improve it from 30 million to 40 million units per hour. [TRANSCRIPT] The way this new Trade method works is by crashing the price of an item that you buy and re-sell. You can crash item prices to about 20% of their average price by selling off about 400 items of it. Buy the item, immediatly re-sell it, repeat. When the item runs out, teleport to your base and back, repeat again until the item no longer decreases when you sell. Once this happens, purchase it at the crashed priced that's 25% of the average price, and then travel to any new star system and sell it for 4 times as much. Then repeat by teleporting back to your source of crashed item prices, and repeat over and over. This trade method is best with Dynamic Resonators, the classic No Man's Sky re-selling item. They can crash to about 6000 units and re-sell for 26,000 units. That's about 1 million profit for every 10 slots of ship inventory per every single sales run. Even a mid-game ship can make up to 10 million an hour with this method. Dynamic Resonators are best because they have the highest value and profit per item slot. However, Dynamic Resonators cost over a million and a half credits to crash. That's because you'll lose about 5000 units on each sale. This method is very scaleable. If you cannot afford that, Trade Items are the 2nd best choice. The Trade item that costs 10,000 units only re-sells at a 1000 unit loss. So instead of costing 1.5 mil as Dynamic Resonators do, Trade Items cost less than half a million. Also, even items only crashed halfway or even a third can then be bought for less than their re-sale price. So even new players can use this method to crash the price of a cheaper trade item in a 16 slot ship, and then move up to a more expensive Trade Item and then Dynamic Resonators when they can afford it.

Trading Strategy with Support & Resistance: Where to Buy / Sell and Set Stops
Support and resistance trading seems simple enough but therein lies the greatest risk - complacency. That reason many traders make mistakes either with where they buy and sell, where they set their Stop Loss and Take Profit. Fortunately we have David Jones who will guide us in this endeavour for beating the markets. At Trading 212 we provide an execution only service. This video should not be construed as investment advice. Investments can fall and rise. Capital at risk. CFDs are higher risk because of leverage.

Megaman Battle Network GBA Extra Quest ~Trading Chips~ P33
I decided to just do trading to not make myself bored to death. I had to buy a used MMBN game to trade with my main. I do have all the chips so I just trade them and then trade them back. The GBA SP ran out of battery so I charged it and then soft reset o= I haven't used it for a long time lol. Ok, so all my missing chips are being traded. I also got the rare Chip "Bass" (you don't get this from Bass, but rather get from events when the game was released, although Capcom doesn't do this anymore. I think you can also buy a gameshark or AR to get Bass.) After that I'm heading back to the Navis to battle their Version 3, PharaohMan needs to be fight 2 times because he was V1 at the first match. ShadowMan too. At the beginning I changed chips after each battle, so you don't get bored with the chips I have. FireMan took forever to show up though.StoneMan a little.

Melania Trump Places Wreath at Site in Ghana Once Used for Trading Slaves
It was a somber second day in Africa for first lady Melania Trump as she toured a castle in Ghana that was once used for trading slaves. She walked through the dungeons where thousands of Africans were held in captivity. The Cape Coast Castle is where Africans were kept naked and chained as they were held before being placed on the ships. As part of the tour, the first lady passed through the "door of no return," where the slaves boarded ships that would take them across the Atlantic to America.

Columbus, de Gama, and Zheng He! 15th Century Mariners. Crash Course: World History #21
In which John Green teaches you about the beginning of the so-called Age of Discovery. You've probably heard of Christopher Columbus, who "discovered" America in 1492, but what about Vasco da Gama? How about Zheng He? Columbus gets a bad rap from many modern historians, but it turns out he was pretty important as far as the history of the world goes. That said, he wasn't the only pioneer plying the seas in the 1400s. In Portugal, Vasco da Gama was busy integrating Europe into the Indian Ocean Trade by sailing around Africa. Chinese admiral Zheng He was also traveling far and wide in the largest wooden ships ever built. Columbus, whether portrayed as hero or villain, is usually credited as the great sailor of the 15th century, but he definitely wasn't the only contender. What better way to settle this question than with a knock-down, drag-out, no holds barred, old-fashioned battle royal? We were going to make it a cage match, but welding is EXPENSIVE. Resources: The Age of Reconnaissance by JH Parry - An explanation of the technologies that made these voyages possible, and a nice detailed record of many of the important voyages. http://dft.ba/-discovery When China Ruled the Sea by Louise Levathes: A history of the Ming dynasty's ventures into maritime exploration. http://dft.ba/-zhenghedragon Unknown Seas by Ronald Watkins: A highly readable account of Vasco da Gama's introduction of europe into the Indian Ocean trade. http://dft.ba/-vasco Crash Course World History is now available on DVD! http://store.dftba.com/products/crashcourse-world-history-the-complete-series-dvd-set Follow us! @thecrashcourse @realjohngreen @raoulmeyer @crashcoursestan @saysdanica @thoughtbubbler Like us! ‪http://www.facebook.com/youtubecrashcourse Follow us again! ‪http://thecrashcourse.tumblr.com Support CrashCourse on Patreon: http://patreon.com/crashcourse

The Vikings! - Crash Course World History 224
In which John Green teaches you about Vikings! That's right, one of our most requested subjects, the Vikings, right here on Crash Course. So what's the deal with Vikings? Well, the stuff you've heard about them may not be true. The Vikings weren't just pagan raiders striking terror into the hearts of defenseless European Christendom. They were some of the greatest travelers of their time, and they weren't always traveling to steal. In a lot of cases, they were traveling to trade. John will teach you about Viking trade goods, Norse Mythology, and yes, there will be blood, guts, and dragons. OK? You can directly support Crash Course at https://www.patreon.com/crashcourse Subscribe for as little as $0 to keep up with everything we're doing. Free is nice, but if you can afford to pay a little every month, it really helps us to continue producing this content.

Hurtigruten Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Hurtigruten in Norway. We begin one of the most beautiful sea journeys in the world in Bergen, an ancient seaport and trading town where we will be passengers on Norway’s,‘Hurtigruten’. The Bryggen district was once founded by the German Hanse and is one of Bergen’s most famous landmarks. The picturesque houses that once belonged to German traders make the charming historical district look more like an open air museum. The Ms Nordnorge is one of a new generation of ships that belong to the famous Hurtigruten Fleet and can take seven hundred passengers. At the mouth of the Nidelv in the Trondheimsfjord is the third largest city in Norway, Trondheim, an important trading and administrative centre. At the beginning of the thirteenth century Trondheim was a city of great influence and was also where the Norwegian kings of mediaeval times were crowned and although it gradually lost its political importance it still contains several fascinating buildings. From Trondheim the ship travels the century-old historic route north into Norway’s most remote regions. Four and a half hours from Bodø and we arrive at the Lofoten, a fairy-tale group of islands in the North Atlantic. When the weather is fine we relax on deck, take in the fresh sea air and sunbathe while the ship glides through the water. A round trip through the historic town of Kirkenes marks the end of a wonderful journey through the fjords and coastal towns in the north of Norway. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. Ancient Roman shipwreck discovered off Crimea coast
Researchers in Crimea have uncovered a riveting archaeological find not far from the Sevastopol coastline. At the mouth of the usually busy and picturesque Balaklava Gulf, sonar scans revealed what turned out to be a Roman trading vessel dating from 2-3rd century AD. The ship lay 85 meters below the waves and proved to be a challenge for divers to reach and thoroughly inspect. Nevertheless, Neptune Expedition diver Pavel Lapshin revelled at the chance to be part of an archaeological mission. He was part of a two-man group of professional career divers who took video and photo material for experts to analyse. Crimea native historian Viktor Lebedinsky was able to determine the type and purpose of the ship based on the footage, with the anchor providing the most concrete evidence. Since Crimea was a Roman colony in ancient times, the Sevastopol State University Marine Studies Department already had a scale model which they used to study the ships of their former conquerors. The ship was of the round type, meaning it carried significant cargo and treaded waters in peacetime. Neptune Expedition Maritime Research hopes to gather funds for a more large scale study of the object next year, and maybe have the opportunity to retrieve it. There have been no reports of treasures found so far.

When The Dutch Ruled The World: Rise and Fall of the Dutch East India Company

The Netherlands is one of Europe's economic centers, despite its small size. This surprising twist of history is due, however, to a less savory turn of events. During the 16th century the Dutch were under the dominion of the Spanish Empire and they didn't like that very much. They fought for their independence for 80 years and their country suffered greatly because of it. Back then the Spanish controlled the lucrative Asian spice trade, which the Dutch economy relied on. However, when the Spanish closed off Lisbon (then the spice hub of the world) the Dutch had no choice but to sail to the Far East and claim the spice trade for themselves. While the Spanish were bogged down in a costly war against the English, the Netherlands swooped in and took over the Asian spice trade through their Dutch East India Company (VOC). In the span of a few decades this new business venture grew to massive proportions and funded the Dutch independence effort, as well as massive land reclamation. Eventually the VOC declined and a perfect storm of wars abroad and at home eventually destroyed it. But after two centuries of operation this one company left an impressive legacy of colonial scars and capitalist wealth that still influences the Netherlands to this day. Under the kind patronage of Nagabhushanam Peddi, James Gallagher & Brett Gmoser.
