The Impact of Early Emotional Neglect

04:44
A lot of our adult problems come down to varieties of emotional neglect suffered in childhood. In this film, we look at one of the most famous experiments in the history of psychology, The Still Face Experiment, devised by Professor Ed Tronick - which gives us an insight into the vulnerability of, and need for love in young children. We may be depressed, anxious or very difficult around sex and relationships. We might in certain moods ask ourselves where the difficulties came from. It’s a continually weird, provocative and yet – in The School of Life’s view – extremely accurate answer that the damage comes, almost always, from childhood, especially early childhood.” You can read more on this and other subjects on our blog, here: https://bit.ly/2LvbX1a MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Visit us in person at our London HQ: https://bit.ly/2Lx7gnM Watch more films on SELF in our playlist: http://bit.ly/TSOLself You can submit translations and transcripts on all of our videos here: https://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?c=UC7IcJI8PUf5Z3zKxnZvTBog&tab=2 Find out how more here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6054623?hl=en-GB SOCIAL MEDIA Feel free to follow us at the links below: Download our App: https://bit.ly/2Aib6f4 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theschooloflifelondon/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheSchoolOfLife Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theschooloflifelondon/ CREDITS Produced in collaboration with: Matt Knott https://www.curtisbrown.co.uk/client/matthew-hammett-knott #TheSchoolOfLife #Psychology #Love

The Attachment Theory - How Your Childhood Affects Your Relationships

07:36
The attachment theory argues that a strong emotional and physical bond to one primary caregiver in our first years of life, is critical to our development. If our bonding is strong and we are securely attached, then we feel safe to explore the world. If our bond is weak, we feel insecurely attached. We are afraid to leave or explore a rather scary-looking world. Because we are not sure if we can return. Often we then don't understand our own feelings. For those who feel like they can’t help themselves, or can’t find trust through their partners of family, we recommend looking for professional support through a therapy. If you are able to form a secure attachment to a therapist, he can become the one who provides you with that secure base. Here three of possible therapies: 1. Psychoanalysis. The aim of psychoanalysis therapy is to release repressed emotions and experiences, i.e., make the unconscious conscious. In order to do that they therapist might try to bring back some childhood memories, to work at the root cause of the problem. 2. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). CBT is a psycho-social intervention that is widely used for improving mental health. Instead of trying to bring you back in time, it aims to explain you whats going on inside your brain and how to cope with irrational feelings or fears. 3. The Hoffmann Process. This 7-8 days guided process, designed by the American psychologist Hoffmann, brings participants back into their childhood to reconnect with their parents at the time when attachment is formed. Its very intensive. How A Messed Up Childhood Affects You In Adulthood

07:13
It's a humbling situation, but much about who we are as adults can be traced back to things that happened to us before our 12th birthday. Part of learning to be an adulthood means making sense of the events of our childhood. We need to spot how our past might be trying to interfere with our chances in the present. For gifts and more from The School of Life, visit our online shop: https://goo.gl/WA5d2o Join our mailing list: http://bit.ly/2e0TQNJ Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/P6fM1C Download our App: https://goo.gl/b7FNXL FURTHER READING “We are, all of us, beautifully crazy or, to put it in gentler terms, fascinatingly unbalanced. Our childhoods, even the apparently benign ones, leave us no option but to be anything else. As a result of these childhoods, we tend, over most issues, to list – like a sailing yacht in high wind – far too much in one direction or another. We are too timid, or too assertive; too rigid or too accommodating; too focused on material success or excessively lackadaisical. We are obsessively eager around sex or painfully wary and nervous in the face of our own erotic impulses. We are dreamily naive or sourly down to earth; we recoil from risk or embrace it recklessly; we have emerged into adult life determined never to rely on anyone or as desperate for another to complete us; we are overly intellectual or unduly resistant to ideas. The encyclopedia of emotional imbalances is a volume without end. What is certain is that these imbalances come at a huge cost, rendering us less able to exploit our talents and opportunities, less able to lead satisfying lives and a great deal less fun to be around…” You can read more on this and other subjects on our blog, here: https://goo.gl/6ubziU MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Visit us in person at our London HQ: https://goo.gl/qf1h3j Watch more films on SELF in our playlist: http://bit.ly/TSOLself You can submit translations and transcripts on all of our videos here: https://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?c=UC7IcJI8PUf5Z3zKxnZvTBog&tab=2 Find out how more here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6054623?hl=en-GB SOCIAL MEDIA Feel free to follow us at the links below: Download our App: https://goo.gl/b7FNXL Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theschooloflifelondon/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheSchoolOfLife Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theschooloflifelondon/ CREDITS Produced in collaboration with: Directed by: Hannah & Martha  Design: Hannah McNally Animation Team: Flora Caulton, Emily Downe, Martha Halliday, Hannah McNally, Kathrin Steinbacher  www.hannahandmartha.com www.floracaulton.co.uk www.emilydowne.co.uk www.kathrinsteinbacher.com #TheSchoolOfLife

To Heal from Childhood Abuse & Neglect, Talk LESS, Write MORE

06:46
For a lot of people with Childhood PTSD, TALKING about traumatic memories can make symptoms worse -- worse than if we were to do nothing at all. Yet talking about the past is the default mode of therapy for virtually everyone who is depressed, anxious or troubled about the past. It's true that talking can be crucial to emotional healing. But there is a lot of research that supports WRITING as a more effective way to communicate past trauma and relieve symptoms of Childhood PTSD. In this video I give some background on why I so strongly recommend daily writing as a means to heal the brain dysregulation that so often flows from a history of childhood abuse and neglect. You can go more deeply into this topic in my online course, Healing Childhood PTSD: https://crappychildhoodfairy.lpages.co/fairy-course-from-youtube You can try the two free techniques I use daily to re-regulate here: https://crappychildhoodfairy.com/2018/12/27/how-i-healed-from-childhood-ptsd-free-techniques-that-help-re-regulate-your-brain-and-emotions And if you'd to access more of my articles and tools, be sure to subscribe to my blog, here: https://crappychildhoodfairy.com As always, I invite you to "Like" this video and subscribe to this channel!
6 Surprising Effects of Narcissistic Parenting

A narcissistic parent is a parent affected by narcissism or narcissistic personality disorder. Typically narcissistic parents are exclusively and possessively close to their children and may be especially envious of, and threatened by, their child's growing independence. MMN 003: Stemming the tide of child abuse and neglect – with Dawn Eaton and Jennifer Drake-Croft

36:19
On this episode of the Make a Mental Note podcast, Dawn Eaton and Jennifer Drake-Croft discuss how parent education classes can help stem the tide of child abuse and neglect. In addition, the role that “adverse childhood experiences” play in perpetuating the cycle of abuse and neglect are discussed as well as other illuminating topics. Give it a listen and find out why this episode is worthy of a mental note! Get the show notes on the “Make a Mental Note” page at http://www.chrisquarto.com Mental Notes: * The Family Center is about empowering parents to be better parents and to raise their children to be happy and healthy adults. The bottom line is to prevent child abuse & neglect. This is done by offering parenting classes to parents – one of the top five strategies of prevention. * Parents are the experts who can do amazing things if they’re provided with education and support. * Families are referred by the Department of Children’s Services and the court system. Partners in community (e.g., jails, substance abuse treatment facilities, YMCA) also refer parents to The Family Center for parent education classes. Although parents are usually mandated to participate in classes they come to appreciate the information provided to them in classes given the strengths-based/empowerment approach used by parent educators. Treating parents with respect is key! * Operating philosophy - no parent sets out to intentionally harm a child. * Parent education curriculum – Nuturing Parenting (evidence-based curriculum). Services provided to parents are also informed by research (e.g., adult learning theory, articles for clients, etc.). * Everybody has something to learn – even teachers learn things from parents. * Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE). There are 10 types of adverse childhood experiences – 5 types of child maltreatment and 5 types of family dysfunction (e.g., a parent who abuses substances; a parent who is incarcerated; divorce). The more of these experiences that a child “experiences” the greater the likelihood they will develop a disease or experience mental health problems when they get older. ACEs also perpetuate the cycle of abuse and neglect. * Many parents who participate in classes at The Family Center score high on a questionnaire that assesses Adverse Childhood Experiences. Helping parents come face-to-face with adverse experiences that they experienced as a child is a key element to breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect. * In rare cases, some parents are not ready to make changes in their parenting behaviors. However, even initially resistant clients let their guard down when they learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences and are treated with respect…but all parents walk away with tools they can use if they so choose. Mental Notes Takeaway: * Educating parents about adverse childhood experiences and problematic family dynamics and teaching them alternative methods of raising and disciplining their children helps stem the tide of child abuse and neglect. Check It Out: * Information pertaining to Adverse Childhood Experiences can be found here: http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/acestudy/ * Find out more about The Family Center at www.FamilyCenterTN.org * Contact The Family Center at (615) 890-4673
How to Avoid Being Abused

04:03
Subscribing to my channel is greatly appreciated!! n abusive person may soon be forbidding you from seeing certain people, even if they are your close friends or family members. An abuser may accuse certain friends or family members of being “trouble makers” or “nosy.” In a heterosexual relationship with a male abuser, he may also accuse you of being a “whore” for spending time with male friends or of being a “lesbian” for spending time with female friends.Listen to how the person justifies abusive behavior. Abusive people tend to find ways to excuse their behavior and they often blame other people, including those who they abuse. Think about what the person says after he or she has done something abusive. Does the person tend to blame you or other people for his violent behavior? If so, then do what you can to get away from this person. It is likely that he or she is going to continue to justify violent behavior towards you. Some abusive people may also accuse those who they abuse of being "too sensitive." If someone often makes you feel bad about yourself, but then dismisses your feelings, then this person may be abusing you. Consider how the person treats animals and children. Abusive people may be cruel to animals and children. Pay attention to how the person behaves around animals and children to get hints about how he or she might treat you. For example, does the person ever kick the dog out of frustration? Or has the person ever said something nasty to a child because he or she was in a bad mood? These behaviors can indicate that someone may become abusive towards you in the future.Think about the person’s sexual behavior. Some abusive people will engage in violent acts during consensual sex. For example, the person might try to restrain you during sex, hit you, or continue doing something even though you have expressed your dislike of it. Watch for these types of signs. Do not stay with someone who makes sex painful or uncomfortable for you. ---------------------------- -------------------------References--------------------- ---http://psychcentral.com/lib/signs-you-are-verbally-abused-part-i/ ---http://psychcentral.com/lib/signs-you-are-verbally-abused-part-i/ ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/child-abuse-and-neglect.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/domestic-violence-and-abuse.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/child-abuse-and-neglect.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/domestic-violence-and-abuse.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/child-abuse-and-neglect.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/domestic-violence-and-abuse.htm ---http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/child-abuse-and-neglect.htm

Child Abuse - The Dark Truth… Can You Afford not to watch??? - (Documentary 16th Nov)

09:38
MOJO WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIS THAT THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR CHILD ABUSE. However, there are causes that can be looked at closely, which enable us to eradicate this problem as a whole. MOJO embarked on a journey into the unknown to get a better understanding of this horrendous act. Our research showed that majority of the news articles identify a victim and a perpetrator, with the victim being the child and the parent being the perpetrator. 95% of the time the perpetrator was scorned at, and the victim comforted, with no solution to curb this issue. If there is a problem, there has to be a solution. Therefore MOJO looked below the surface and spoke to all those who dealt with child abuse cases, such as: teachers, therapists and psychologists. A documentary that will hopefully clear the blurry vision of our methods and approach in curbing child abuse.

Do Grown-Up Abused Kids Owe Parents Anything?

05:38
"What do we owe our tormentors? It's a question that haunts those who had childhoods marked by years of neglect and deprivation, or of psychological, physical, and sexual abuse at the hands of one or both parents. Despite this terrible beginning, many people make it out successfully and go on to build satisfying lives. Now their mother or father is old, maybe ailing, possibly broke. With a sense of guilt and dread, these adults are grappling with whether and how to care for those who didn't care for them."* Slate asks an interesting question: do adults who were abused by their parents owe those parents anything? Is there a line between physical or emotional abuse? Should adult kids be the bigger person? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss with examples. *Read more from Emily Yoffe/ Slate: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/family/2013/02/abusive_parents_what_do_grown_children_owe_the_mothers_and_fathers_who_made.html Support The Young Turks by Subscribing http://www.youtube.com/user/theyoungturks Like Us on Facebook: Follow Us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/theyoungturks Buy TYT Merch: http://theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com/

Chosen (BAFTA AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY) - Real Stories

01:36:33
This BAFTA award winning film deals with a subject often whispered but rarely spoken about - the sexual abuse of boys by teachers in Britain’s private schools. For thirty years the boys, and the men they became, stayed silent, nursing the dark secret of the abuse they suffered. But in this film, Tom, Mark and Alastair break that silence with spellbinding articulation and breathtaking honesty – telling their stories straight to the camera. Want to watch more full-length Documentaries? Click here: http://bit.ly/1GOzpIu Follow us on Twitter for more - https://twitter.com/realstoriesdocs Instagram - @realstoriesdocs Chosen was produced by True Vision Productions. If you wish to find out more the people featured in this documentary then go to http://truevisiontv.com/foundation Following broadcast of ‘Chosen’ in September 08 on both More4 and then again in December on Channel4 (a terrestrial UK broadcaster) - more former pupils made statements to the police about alleged abuse at Caldicott. This included further complaints against Peter Wright and other former teachers including Hugh Henry, the man unnamed in the documentary who abused Mark Payge. Hugh Henry and Peter Wright were subsequently charged on the same indictment. Henry pleaded guilty on 11/05/12 to 10 indictments against 9 complainants from two schools. He was released on bail to await sentence pending the outcome of the trial of Peter Wright. Media reporting restrictions applied throughout all the trials. David Keith Geddes, another teacher at Caldicott, went to trial on 14/01/13 charged with 5 indictments - it resulted in a hung Jury and a retrial on 11/03/13 again on 5 indictments. He was acquitted. John Addrison, a former pupil of Caldicott who returned as a gap year teaching assistant, went on trial on 11/09/13 - He pleaded guilty to 13 indictments against 5 boys from two schools including Caldicott. Peter Wright returned to court on 1/05/13 charged with 13 indictments against 5 new complainants. It delivered a hung Jury and Wright returned for court for retrial on 13/11/13 on 12 indictments. By unanimous verdict he was found guilty of all counts on 6/12/13. The five men whose cases were stayed in 2003 were witnesses of bad character. Reporting restrictions were finally lifted. Mark Payge had meanwhile developed cancer from which he died on 22/5/13. For sometime Tom was unable to speak to his friend because of the legal process, particularly as Hugh Henry was on the same indictment as Wright. Not until the very end was permission granted. With Mark having returned home, and in a heavily medicated state Tom greeted him - 'hello big boy, that bad smell Tom Perry is back in your life.' The briefest of smiles appeared on Mark’s face, everybody saw it. Two days later, Mark died. Both Wright and Henry were due to be sentenced on the 6/1/14 however on 4/1/14 Henry stood in front of a train close to the Court and was killed http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/paedophile-hugh-henry-killed-train-3115240 So even had Mark lived he would never have seen Henry sentenced. . Wright received eight years imprisonment. More is available here: https://goo.gl/XcvysM including a some newspaper articles. You may find the chronology in the link helpful. 366 days of Child Abuse

08:51
For the purpose of this video, child abuse includes physical, sexual abuse and neglect. The persons who murdered these children vary from mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, father or mother's partner, foster parents, babysitters, people the children knew, and some they did not. Some of these children had previous cases of abuse with social services, others it was a first time occurrence. Some had abuse that went on days, months or years. Others the abuse happened only that one day. I tried to find cases throughout the world but translating some articles were difficult. While the majourity of these deaths took place in the United States of America, it is only because compared to other countries, the U.S is more open regarding deaths by child abuse than some countries. The years of these children's deaths vary. Some as far back as the early 1900's to 2016. If I got the date of death or cause of death incorrect I apologize in advance. It was a large project which I did on my own. I had to rely on obituaries, news reports, which are not always accurate, and fatality reviews. For children who were murdered and no one recorded the day they died, I went instead with the day their body was found. While the cause of death may be simple; asphyxia, blunt force trauma, some of these children had bite marks, broken bones, broken spines, bruises, abrasions, signs of sexual assault, rape. One child was beaten so bad his skull separated from his spine. I've had to go through countless stories for this video. Some days I found multiple children's deaths on one date. After a while, the stories became redundant. The circumstances are similar. Changes have to occur at each level of society. I've compiled some advice regarding the protection of children. It's not professional advice, and should not be taken as such, but after all these cases, it's just a remark on the similarities that tend to exist in some of these cases. 1) Know who you are bringing into your house and who you allow to watch your child. Boyfriends, girlfriends, babysitters. I know circumstances can be tough and sacrifices have to be made, but the fact is children are being murdered by caregivers while the other parent is at work. Be so very careful. 2) If you and your child's other parent are not together, be involved in your child's life. Too many times one parent is absent and when the child is killed the other wishes they “had been there.” Don't wait until something bad happens. If the other parent won't let you see your child, you go to court. Get a set visitation schedule. Don't rely on the other parent to allow you to see your child. You get something and you be involved in their life. 3) To family members, neighbours, be aware. If you're seeing this child all the time and suddenly the child is not there, something could be wrong. Ask questions. Don't be quick to accept the 'he/she' fell excuse. 4) I know social services get a hard knock and there are incompetent social workers, but there are good social workers out there. We hear about the bad cases, about the failure. There are successful social work interventions, they are just not reported to the media. When a child is abused you have two options, call protective services, or do nothing. The second option guarantees the child will die, the first gives hope. Take that hope.

These issues create sexual dysfunction, feelings of guilt, and powerlessness. These issues must be healed to become a whole person. two-thirds of people affected by sexual abuse still exhibit symptoms caused by the abuse. This also can help heal conflict. ***Please watch Video 3 before watching this video*** Book: From Anger to Intimacy by Gary Smalley Articles from the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology Disclaimer: My videos are not made to predict the outcome of any relationship. My Experience with Psychological Abuse (Narcissistic Abuse)

13:30
Thank you so much for watching, and feel free to leave any comments/questions/concerns! I'm really proud of myself for being able to record this. It took me nearly two years to really start the healing process for this trauma. The fact that I can talk about it clearly is a huge step for me. When I got out of this relationship I was definitely heartbroken, but I was more confused and void of confidence than anything. I want to share my story because I feel like it is important to help others who have gone through similar experiences; that's the only thing that got me through my abuse. Watching YouTube videos, reading articles regarding narcissistic abuse, and going to therapy really helped me understand what had happened to me, and that is what ultimately helped me heal. I know there are points in this video where I seem kind of nonchalant about certain events, but that is only because I've had so much time to heal. If you had asked me about anything regarding my ex even a year ago--or even when someone would mention his name--I would spiral and break down. It took a long time for me to get to this place, and if you are experiencing a similar type of trauma, I can tell you wholeheartedly that it DOES get better. I didn't think I'd ever reach a place where I felt comfortable enough to talk about it--let alone share my story on the internet--but here I am! Loud and proud... And I don't care if I face negative backlash for this because I know my truth and THE truth, and that is all I care to share while I'm on this planet. Stay strong xo *to anyone who needs to talk and/or if watching this triggered you in any way, please DM me on instagram @annacarmellla

10 Disturbing Cases Of Feral Children

04:16
Could animals have raised human children? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: If you have ever read Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book”, you’re probably familiar with the fact that the book’s hero Mowgli was raised by wolves. If you’re familiar with Tarzan, he was raised by apes, and once he met other humans like him, he struggled to adapt and communicate in the beginning, but eventually learned. Even though the books were a work of fiction, the idea of being raised by animals isn’t far-fetched and has actually happened and continues to this day. What we would call these book characters would be “feral”, which is a term you’ve probably associated with cats or dogs. As humans, we are shaped and developed based on our upbringing. If we were raised in a household that speaks English and lives the American culture, then that is how we turn out. If we were raised bilingual, then we can speak two languages. The same goes for feral children. Unfortunately, the majority of feral children come from tragedy or abusive households. There have been many accounts of children being abandoned, and then they are taken in by a pack of animals who raise them. When these children finally make human contact, they act more like the animals who raised them and often struggle to adapt. In most cases, these children are sent to a clinic or a hospital for treatment and adjusting them to human society. The sadder cases are those children who actually grew up with parents, but neglected them and leaving the animals to raise them. But feral children aren’t always raised by animals. Sometimes feral children are neglected to the point to where they never psychologically age, and then you have children who still wear diapers and act like infants. Or, through abuse, you have feral children who never learned how to speak and have to be rehabilitated with speech therapy. It’s hard to wrap around the concept of anyone who wants to hurt and neglect their child, but it is a situation that unfortunately happens all too often. Many of the children in this video have been raised by wolves, dogs, birds, or by the elements. For example, a girl in Cambodia disappeared into the jungle in 1979, and she wasn’t found until 2007. Despite efforts to adapt her to society and live a normal human life, she eventually ran away back into the jungle where she likely felt safe and the most comfortable. A girl in the Ukraine was raised by dogs, and despite being treated in numerous hospitals and clinics, she has stated that she feels the most comfortable with other dogs instead of humans. As you watch this video, you will realize that feral children are a real thing, and there are many more children like this who are living in the woods, living neglected in the homes of the people who were supposed to love them, and they are desperately crying for help. They are going to need help before it’s too late and they reach the point of being unable to turn around from their upbringing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Featuring: Raised By Birds The Romanian Dog Boy Cambodian Jungle Girl The Wolf Girls The Mowgli Girl Ugandan Monkey Boy Raised By Dogs Ukrainian Dog Girl The Girl in the Window The Wild Child ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

Podcast: Signs of Emotional Abuse & Healing from Abusive Relationships

57:16
In this podcast, I have a casual conversation with a woman (and friend of mine) who endured an emotionally and spiritually abusive relationship. Here she shares her story. She talks about patterns that developed early on in life which lead up to her abusive marriage. She then talks about signs and patterns of emotional abuse that persisted throughout her marriage, and the ways she finally recognized that boundaries were being crossed and stood up for herself. Through her story, I hope you can connect some of your own story and patterns that may or may not be healthy. *Trigger warning* This podcast mentions a brief moment of childhood sexual abuse. It also talks about the topic of emotional abuse inside marriage. India:23rd Aug 2009 Official Video(entry) for CRC Video Contest: Based on Articles:- Article 18 :Both Parents share responsibility of bringing up their children and should always consider what is best for each child............ & Article 19: Government should ensure that children are properly cared for and protect them from violence, abuse and "neglect" by their parents or anyone who look after them. The Video has been made exclusively for the UNICEF CRC Contest ,taking into consideration ,both the articles,i.e Article 18 & Article 19. Where in few parts of the world, we see a lot of exploitation of the poor, destitute children in terms of abuse, sexual exploitation, expose towards dangerous chemicals, child labour etc, here goes a video portraying on other parts of the world where children are provided with all facilities but not the actual Care,Love and Affection which is actually required from their parents. They are always or often neglected by their parents (who satisfy their selfish needs)making them a victim of Mental Trauma and Breakdown.... 06:06
After enduring a miserable life with allegedly abusive parents, Alisia, Bradley, Cody, and Emma needed a foster family to take them in. As there were so many of them, they knew it was likely that they’d be shipped off to different homes. But then the stars aligned for them. Alisia, Bradley, Cody and Emma are four siblings who didn’t have the easiest start in life by any means. In fact, their story is a sad one, reportedly full of abuse and neglect. They were originally from Overland Park, Kansas, and lived with their parents. But their parents’ marriage wasn’t a happy one. The relationship broke down, and a series of unfortunate events followed. According to The Kansas City Star, the children’s parents then turned to “substance abuse” after the split. ►For more articles visit: http://scribol.com ►For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] ********************** ►Support our channel PATREON: https://goo.gl/HJbzyf Thanks To Our Patreons Salami L. Doctor Accuses Michigan Gov. of State-Sponsored Child Abuse

00:57
Imagine if Michigan Governor Rick Snyder kept giving his kids water that tests showed was dangerous--even toxic. Thankfully he’s now trying to help the sickened city, but according to Dr. Irwin Redlener, it isn’t nearly enough. Redlener is the president and co-founder of the Children’s Health Fund, a national not for profit organization that supports health care for disadvantaged children across the U.S. According to The Daily Beast, Michigan’s Governor Rick Snyder says if his children lived in Flint, he would let them bathe in the city’s toxic water. And if Redlener were his pediatrician, he would tell the governor to stop even thinking about immersing a child in the toxic brew Snyder let fester there for so long. If Snyder and the state were actually the parents of the young children in Flint, then a parent who saw that his tap water was full of lead--and yet still kept giving it to his child--would be prosecuted for felony child abuse. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thedailybeast/articles/~3/YFedTvh61WM/state-sponsored-child-abuse-and-neglect-in-flint.html http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
