Today I have an Adobe InDesign tutorial video entitled a magazine layout in Adobe InDesign tutorial, a look at laying out a magazine document both for print and we use, in InDesign. I have a link below that shows my most recent magazine project that I worked on in InDesign which is also shown in the tutorial today. My method works for me where I design he artwork in Photoshop, and then transfer that over to Adobe InDesign, where I also add the text and logo files to prevent blurry printing solutions. 4 Local SEO marketing strategies to build your brick and mortar business. If your a local business and want more customers and foot traffic, but are tired of spending money on ads or billboards let me show you how to get free traffic using these local SEO marketing strategies to rank on Google and get more customers! You've got a localized business. Why aren't you ranking on Google? Why aren't you optimizing it for search engines? You can. Today I'm going to share with you how to do local SEO for brick and mortar businesses. The first thing you need to know about is Google My Business. Google My Business allows you to submit your localized business to Google, where you're putting in your company name, your address, your phone number. Once you're listed in there, you can rank in the localized pack. The localized box is whenever you search for, let's say, a pizza restaurant on your mobile phone, you're getting all these localized listings. That's a localized pack. And you want to be in there because if you're in there, you're going to get more business. The next thing you want to do for local SEO is get the reviews. When you get reviews, you're going to rank higher. So the more people that say you're amazing and that you have a good product or service, the better off you're going to be. So within your storefront, tell people, "Hey, rate us on Google. "Leave a review. "Leave a rating." And you'll find a lot of people will. Everyone these days is focusing on Yelp reviews. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with Yelp, but why not also focus on Google? Because that allows you to rank higher. The next thing you want to do is make sure you include your address, the name of your business, and the phone number on your contact page. By doing that, when people are searching localized queries, you're much more likely to pop up. The next tip for local SEO is if your website is running on WordPress, use the Yoast SEO plugin. It'll optimize your website without you even being technical. You don't need to pay an agency thousands of dollars. You don't have to pay a marketing agency. If you're a localized mom and pop business, just go out there, use the Yoast SEO plugin on your WordPress site, and it'll pretty much optimize most of the things you need to do. If you're not running WordPress, then that's fine. You can just go in there, address your title tags to include your keywords, your meta description to include your keywords and make sure you include the keywords you're going after within the text or pages of your website. If you don't have the keywords, how will Google know what to rank you about? Then you want to create more content. So if you're a pizza shop and you want to boost your local SEO, you want to write content about pizza, how to make amazing pizzas, how to make them taste better, how to cook them, all this kind of stuff. I understand you're not in the business of teaching people how to make pizza, but by writing all this content about pizza and flavors and if it goes with wine or it doesn't and all these kind of articles, you're more likely to rank for all the pizza terms within your city. And last but not least, to build your local SEO sign up for Google Search Console. Within Google Search Console, you can find out what issues Google has to your site, what errors they're finding. You can submit your sitemap. If you don't have a sitemap, just go and create an XML sitemap. If you Google for it, there's a lot of free tools out there that create sitemaps for you. And you can specify which location your business is doing business as. You can pick which region, especially if you're a national business or you're focusing on the United States, because sometimes you're localized, and you have a small mom and pop stores all over the United States. And you can do that within Google Search Console, in which you can identify which region you're going after. Here's how to make it happen. Don't know anything about article marketing? In this article you will learn about article marketing in 2014 and get custom writing advice. Go to Adwords/Google.com. Use the keyword planner tool to find keywords to use. And use the keywords as tags in the description, post or body of the custom article. What I mean by custom article? The content is relevant to the story from one's perspective. It is customized by the author to entail details of the topic. Make call to action at bottom the bottom. The call to action is a link or icon that tells the reader what to do. You use this "call to action" to for the purpose of selling your product or service. You should link your related articles together. On the topic of article marketing you need to write a short article usually five to seven hundred words. The keyword should be used in the title once or twice. In the body of the article the keyword should be used three to four times. In the description or body the keyword should be used maybe once. Here is a good article I have found. It includes a video. The article link is here to Click. Research your topic by reading more. I did a search on article marketing blogs. I came up with 421 million results. I did another search on writing an article. The results are one billion. You can go to Wikipedia.com, Google and other search engines that are related to your topic/ keyword. Online encyclopedias are a good resource, also. I hated writing articles in school. There were always to be in an essay form, not custom or unique. But I had to deal with some personal traumatic issues in my past a few years back. I started journaling. It was my release. Soon I acknowledge my gift of writing about stories. I am not saying you need to experience traumatic situations in your life to start writing. But if you like sharing stories, you should start by writing. You have years on this planet and the world is waiting to read them. Share it. The Dos and Don'tsFirst, this is where I have failed. I expected BIG results with little effort. That is a big mistake. Article Marketing is just that, finding the market of people that read your article. That takes time. Since you are consistent in this journey, the results will come to you. Your daily routine should be research article writing, blog post (you should have one) market and make a video about what you've learned. Present yourself as the authority on your topic. Relay to your audience by saying what you feel about a topic for example: article marketing. Be inspiring. Be passionate. Create an article about "How to do" or "What you have learned" or just entertain the audience. People with be attracted to you. Here something, making unique content, makes it personal. Write about your hobbies or interests. Write as you were speaking to friend that is right in front of you. You should include personal experiences, funny stories, include pictures or audio. For article marketing social media works great! Go and post links on Facebook, Facebook Fanpage, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, +Google or email your friends and family. They will read the article and wonder where this amazing writer was all the days. It’s also been made to seem way more complicated than it actually is, which is a shame really, as it’s really pretty straightforward. So what is digital marketing? Well, as simple as this is gonna sound, digital marketing is just marketing, using digital tools. And marketing is nothing more than communicating value to your customers. So, digital marketing is therefore communicating value to your customers using digital tools. That’s it. Traditional VS Digital Marketing The first thing to do is understand the difference between traditional, and digital marketing. Traditional marketing relies on tools and mediums like the newspaper, radio, TV, magazine, billboards, direct mail, and any form of print really. Digital on the other hand is made up of tools like search engine marketing, social media, content marketing like blogging, articles, or video creation, email marketing, and online pay per clicks advertising. When you’re talking about traditional versus digital marketing, you’re talking about the tools more than the strategy behind them. And more accurately, you’re talking about which form of media you’re going to use to communicate your message on, a traditional one, or a digital one? Joseph Turow is Robert Lewis Shayon Professor of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School for Communication. This interview with Professor Turow focuses on consumer attitudes towards behavioral-based marketing; that is, advertising targeted to groups of people based on their purchase history, lifestyle, location, etc. Professor Turow conducted four national surveys and one California survey on American attitudes towards online behavioral targeting from 1999 to 2009. Taken together, the studies present a picture of continuities and changes in Americans attitudes toward and understanding of the activities, norms and laws through which marketers relate to them digitally, online and off. Professor Turow most recently completed a survey in 2009 with Chris Hoofnagle of the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology.: Americans Reject Tailored Advertising and Three Activities That Enable It. A 2005 New York Times Magazine article referred to Professor Turow as probably the reigning academic expert on media fragmentation. He has authored eight books, edited five books, and written more than 100 articles on mass media industries. A few of his titles are Niche Envy: Marketing Discrimination in the Digital Age (MIT Press, 2006); Breaking Up America: Advertisers and the New Media World (University of Chicago Press, 1997; paperback, 1999; Chinese edition 2004). Professor Turows continuing national surveys of the American public on issues relating to marketing, new media, and society have received a great deal of attention in the popular press as well as in the research community. He has written about media and advertising for the popular press, including American Demographics magazine, The Washington Post, Boston Globe and The Los Angeles Times. His research has received financial support from the John D. and Catherine T. It's very simple, upload the article then add a banner to the sidebar and add a free e-book. You will be collecting e-mails with the ebook so you can push products at a later date. Once you have all this up on the homepage you can throw 1-2 affiliate links in the article to start juicing up a buy.
