This dryer features 14 different drying cycles, from a rapid cycle, to an extra dry, there is a cycle to fit all your homes drying needs. They’re also grouped for your convenience. The cycles for your cottons are to the left of the control dial, while the cycles for your synthetics are located to the right of the dial. The controls are easy to use, simply press the on/off button, select your preferred cycle, and then press the start button. There is also a lamp button. It can be set while your dryer is not only running but also when it is stopped. And if you don’t turn the drum light off within 5 minutes of turning it on, it automatically turns itself off.
The display screen located here to the right of the control panel features an Ice Blue LED display and clearly shows the time remaining, all cycle information, and error messages.
The large door of this condenser dryer is reversible, allowing for convenient opening no matter where it’s positioned in your laundry. And while it’s too heavy for wall mounting, this dryer can be stacked on top of an appropriate Samsung front-loading washing machine with the help of the optional stacking kit, saving laundry space.
Inside the machine, you’ll see the stainless steel drum. You’ll also notice its large capacity, and wide opening door. Perfect for loading and unloading bulky items. In ordinary drums, clothes can get damaged if they become caught on the water hole. The Samsung Diamond Drum solves this problem by embedding the holes within diamond-shaped indents, creating the ideal environment for a deep yet gentle wash.
The lint filter is conveniently located at the front and can easily be removed for cleaning. The lint filter should be cleaned regularly to ensure maximum efficiency when drying.
As this model is a condenser dryer, there is no need for ducting or ventilation, as a condenser dryer uses a heat exchange to cool the air and extract the water vapour before returning the air to the clothes drum to collect more water vapour and continue the process. In other words, no hot steamy air gets expelled from the dryer into your laundry room.
The condensing tray can be found at the bottom of the dryer and will need to be kept cleaned to optimize drying. We recommend cleaning the try once every month.
Now the reservoir where the water collects can be found on the left hand side of the control panel. You will need to empty the reservoir tray after every 3-4 cycles. Simply pull it out, empty the tray, and put it back into place.
