Dr. Bernhard Schindlholzer is a technology manager working on Machine Learning and E-commerce. In this talk he gave at TEDx FHKufstein, Bernhard Schindlholzer contemplated the implications of ephemeralization - the ability of technological advancement to do "more and more with less and less until eventually you can do everything with nothing" - through artificial intelligence and machine learning. He explores the challenges that this technological approach poses to our economy and, furthermore, how they could be addressed by questioning established norms of our education systems. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. Let’s start with a unique Japanese method in the schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt! It’s called “Nameless paints.” Japanese designers named Yusuke Imai and Ayami Moteki created an unusual set to teach kids colors and painting. This fantastic set won the 2012 Kokuyo Design Award. Let’s see how it works. “Nameless paints” includes ten tubes that don’t have color names such as “yellow,” “blue,” or “green.” Instead, there are only spots of a particular color or colors on each tube. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. The designers’ aim is to change the way kids think and learn. They want children to understand what shade they will get if they mix certain colors. For instance, a child looks at the tube with two spots: pink and blue. He doesn’t know what color hides inside. He squeezes the tube and gets… purple color! So, as a result, the kid learns that the same amounts of pink and blue paints create purple. Here’s another example – a tube with a big blue spot and small pink one. It means if you mix a small amount of the pink color and a large amount of the blue color, you’ll get dark-blue color. Interesting, right? As you can see, each tube hides a particular color inside. Pink, yellow, blue, purple, red, dark green, dark blue, orange, light-green, and black. However, to get one of these shades, the child should think about which colors create it. As a result, they learn how to create new colors and how to mix them. It’s an easy and fun way to understand the color theory. Recent studies have shown that free thinking is an attribute that a person can acquire over time, and the schools play the most important part in developing creativity. Now, here’s the bonus – 10 brilliant features of the Japanese education system the whole world needs to adopt. The success of the Japanese culture is very simple: they put a lot of effort and time in the education system trying to make it not only useful but also fun. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

Yet, one area of South Korean culture that still stands out is education. That’s because schools in this country have an array of rather strange rules that would seem out of place in your typical American system. How did we end up with today’s complex and interdependent educational system? Are we adding new kinds of schools because of the needs of a more complex economy, or because of ever-increasing social pressure for middle and upper class exclusivity? This video introduces some of the major historical arguments about how we have built the layers of our educational system.

A story surrounding more than a million students in India built around a booming IT industry, a machine like education system, a race to a seat amongst the top engineering colleges and student suicides in our system. The Indian education system in all its complexity has turned out to be one of the most fascinating educational stories in the world. Watch Adhitya Iyer in his talk share his travel around the country discovering the truth behind the common engineer in India. Adhitya Iyer completed his engineering degree from Mumbai University, where he studied in an institute interestingly named after Sardar Patel and was inaugurated by Nehru. He was listed as one of India's Top 30 student entrepreneurs by the NEN. He later spent 2 years in Bangalore selling chai, before he set out to write a non-fiction on the complex life of India's engineers is Kickstarter funded and is India's highest crowdfunded book. He thinks the society needs to be re-imagined and that humans can't be spending more than half their life doing something they seldom enjoy. Have you ever wondered why your classes are so long? If you’re sitting in class, bored out of your mind, wondering who came up with the idea of making the lesson so long, you’re about to find out! Some people claim that 9-year-old children, for example, can concentrate for an hour. However, according to The Washington Post, physiologically, after just 20 minutes of sitting, the brain starts to receive less oxygen and glucose, which decreases concentration. We're about to tell you how class duration was determined and about the intense debate surrounding class timings, which started centuries ago and is still raging! TIMESTAMPS: Who to blame for having to get up so early to head to school 0:59 How the 45-minute system was established 2:09 How the USA established their education system 4:43 The “A Nation at Risk” report 6:07 Strong debate 7:28 #schoolsystem #educationsystem #circadianrhythm Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The educational system of the country you live in might have been inspired by the Prussian school system. So if you live in the United States, Germany, Finland, or the UK, you’re affected by the decisions Prussia made in the 19th century. - Back then, critics weren’t so concerned about children having time to chill, but they were concerned that digestion seemed to cause an afternoon lull after lunch, preventing children from concentrating. - The circadian clock expects you to digest food at certain times, so your energy levels dip between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. - In the US, the state of Massachusetts was trying to find the best educational approach. Horace Mann, the secretary of the Massachusetts Board of Education at the time, was trying to understand why children were so unruly at school. - Massachusetts became the first state to provide all citizens with free education. During the next 66 years, all the other states followed its example and taught the Prussian way. - In 1983, the US government called for education reform in the “A Nation at Risk” report. The report declared that the educational system was starting to slide. - The conclusion was that schools would start to use computers and new software, but the system itself remains largely unchanged. - The Prussian system has been adopted as a “one size fits all” approach, and it has been criticized for this reason. Not everyone learns at the same pace and with the same methodology because we’re all different! Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British-born philosopher, writer, and speaker, best known as an interpreter and populariser of Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. Born in Chislehurst, England, he moved to the United States in 1938 and began Zen training in New York. Pursuing a career, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, where he received a master's degree in theology. Watts became an Episcopal priest in 1945, then left the ministry in 1950 and moved to California, where he joined the faculty of the American Academy of Asian Studies. Watts gained a large following in the San Francisco Bay Area while working as a volunteer programmer at KPFA, a Pacifica Radio station in Berkeley. Watts wrote more than 25 books and articles on subjects important to Eastern and Western religion, introducing the then-burgeoning youth culture to The Way of Zen (1957), one of the first bestselling books on Buddhism. In Psychotherapy East and West (1961), Watts proposed that Buddhism could be thought of as a form of psychotherapy and not a religion. He also explored human consciousness, in the essay "The New Alchemy" (1958), and in the book The Joyous Cosmology (1962). Towards the end of his life, he divided his time between a houseboat in Sausalito and a cabin on Mount Tamalpais. His legacy has been kept alive by his son, Mark Watts, and many of his recorded talks and lectures are available on the Internet. According to the critic Erik Davis, his "writings and recorded talks still shimmer with a profound and galvanizing lucidity."

Exam results suggest that girls are overtaking boys across the academic spectrum. Is this really the case? In an article in The Province (June 12, 2014) entitled “The Guys Crisis: Boys are falling badly behind the girls at school,” author Paul Luke states, “By high school, girls’ grade point average outshines that of boys. In Canada, women make up almost 60 percent of university students.” He explains the phenomenon by suggesting that for too long the needs of girls were overlooked in school and now that things are more equitable, girls outshine boys in learning. Recently, however, Dr. Jim Dueck, author, former Assistant Deputy Minister of Education for the province of Alberta, and former head of Accountability and Student Assessment, performed a revealing analysis on current practices in student assessment. The results were not only remarkable but very disturbing, exposing what might well be an institutional suppression of the performance of male students. Dumbing Down of America: What has happened to the education system? "Any review of a typical elementary school textbook printed before 1910 shows dramatically that students were learning mathematical skills that few of our current students know anything about." - The Liepzig Connection "A 1990 survey of college seniors showed that 42% couldn't name the dates of the war between the states to within a half century." - Dumbing Down Our Kids Something's wrong. Are kids dumber now than they were 100 years ago? And if so, why? Dumbing down is the deliberate oversimplification of intellectual content within education, literature, cinema, news, video games and culture in order to relate to those unable to assimilate more sophisticated information. The term "dumbing down" originated in 1933 as movie-business slang, used by motion picture screenplay writers, meaning: "[to] revise so as to appeal to those of little education or intelligence". Dumbing-down varies according to subject matter along with the reasons for lowering the intellect of the subject or topic. It often involves diminishment of critical thought involving the undermining of intellectual standards within language and learning; thus trivializing meaningful information, culture, and academic standards, as is the case of popular culture. Philosophically, the term "dumbing down" is a relative definition, because what is considered dumbing down depends on the taste, value judgement, and intellectual level of the person involved in the matter. In Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgement of Taste (1979), the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1930–2002) proposed that, in a society in which the cultural practices of the ruling class are rendered and established as the legitimate culture of that society, that action then devalues the cultural capital of the subordinate social classes, and thus limits their social mobility within their own society. What should change in Pakistan education system? What needs to be fixed at the earliest? Education has been a problem in our country and lack of it has been blamed for all sorts of evil for hundreds of years. Even Rabindranath Tagore wrote lengthy articles about how Indian education system needs to change. We need to start focusing on the future. I know that the prime function of attending school is to get one ready for the future, but are our schools really, truly providing that? I don’t mean that we should start replacing core classes with excessively practical classes that teach students how to effectively scrub a kitchen floor or pay taxes. In fact, I mean the very opposite. Funny thing is that from the colonial times, few things have changed. We have established IITs, IIMs, law schools and other institutions of excellence; students now routinely score 90% marks so that even students with 90+ percentage find it difficult to get into the colleges of their choice; but we do more of the same old stuff. ===== Team Member: Waqas Nasir ===== #ChildrenSucces #Infortivation

Ewan Jones talks to William Collins about his work focusing on the impact of feminism on the education system. William asserts that women are dominating the teaching posts in primary, secondary and higher education. They are using teaching methods that work with girls but not with boys. They are also marking boys down for failing to behave like girls. The upshot of all this is that there are far more females going to university than males. And yet the feminists are still unhappy there are more males than females in a small and ever dwindling number of subjects. William Collins will be giving a talk at the fourth International Conference on Men’s Issues in London, July 20-22. The speaker list is here - https://icmi18.wordpress.com/speakers.” Here is a link to the articles he has written on the subject of education - http://mra-uk.co.uk/?page_id=2244 And here is a link to his blogsite MRA-UK. http://mra-uk.co.uk/

10 bizarre facts about the school system in North Korea. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] When it comes to North Korea, they don’t always play by the same rules that the rest of the world follows. They have created some concern for the rest of us. Kim Jong-Un, his father and grandfather are considered to be gods with supernatural abilities. Given that there is so much control over North Korea by Kim Jong-Un’s regime, it’s no surprise that this translates over to the bizarre educational system where school rules are nothing short of strange. But when you think about it, these rules “almost” make sense, as they are ways of brainwashing their citizens and forcing them to buy into the country’s ideologies. Compared to the rest of the world, North Korea does have a rigid educational system, and they are held together by rules that don’t make much sense. Many of the rules actually go against basic human needs and nature. Help us keep this channel producing REAL content for REAL people https://www.paypal.me/ConservativeResurge The cultural Marxism that our societies are infected with is a particularly Western phenomenon. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, Marxists in Europe believed that the dictatorship of the proletariat was at hand. They were wrong. The revolution failed to spread. In despair, and in one of Mussolini’s prisons, a young Italian socialist Antonio Gramsci wrote that the problem was the Christian bedrock of Western European cultures. He encouraged Marxists to develop a fifth column inside these countries to destroy the foundations of Western cultures. Only then would international socialism be achievable. This call to subversion was picked up by Marxist scholars based around the Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt, Germany. In the tumultuous milieu of Weimar Germany, theorists such as Max Horkheimer, Herbert Marcuse, Erich Fromm, Theodor Adorno and Georg Lukacs integrated the theories of Sigmund Freud with classical Marxism to develop the foundations of critical theory, deconstructionism, post-structuralism and postmodernism. Known as the Frankfurt School, many of these intellectuals fled Hitler’s Germany for the United States where they were welcomed by Progressives and socialist intellectuals. The theories of the Frankfurt School unified the vanguard of the 60’s countercultural movement and have since spread to every discipline in our universities, colleges and schools. These theories, which obsess about colonization, subjugation and oppression, have indeed colonized higher education in the West. Marxism is always cloaked in high-sounding utopian rhetoric. This is a ruse. What cultural Marxists seek has nothing to do with true diversity, social harmony or universal tolerance. They don’t want the races getting along. They seek power. The solution for the perceived injustices that Cultural Marxists have manufactured is radical social engineering. The power to carry out this social engineering must be given, of course, to a politically-correct elite determined to remake society along ideological lines. This is why cultural Marxists always seek to enter government, academe or influential positions in the media. In the process of remaking society, unsurprisingly, these Cultural Marxists gain enormous wealth, status and power. This is how careers and fortunes are made in the industry of grievance. It is also why Marxism is so appealing to the ambitious and unscrupulous. Thus it is no surprise that the groups which cultural Marxists have labelled victims are themselves now worse off than ever. The decline of black America over the last fifty years has been a modern tragedy. Across all metrics, black communities have been deteriorating. The solution loudly demanded by cultural-Marxist opportunists is always more of the same, thus accelerating the decline of these communities Marxism proved over the twentieth century that it is the deadliest and most destructive belief system on the planet. It has a body count beyond measure and has left a trail of brokenness, suffering and desolation wherever it has taken hold. Marxist ideology destroyed the traditional civilizations of Europe and Asia until they renounced it in the 1990’s. It is in the West that it has lived on in hybrid form, gnawing away at the fabric of our societies. That fabric will not hold forever. Every knee taken, every glass bottle thrown and every incitement to victimhood is another crack in the unity of the nation; and without unity there can be no United States. 10 surprising facts about the school system in North Korea. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Most of us know by now that North Korea is a completely different world where people live in an alternate reality. Okay, maybe not literally. But North Korea does live under such strict government control that they have almost no idea what the rest of the world is like. Unless you’re living among the elite, you’re under a lot of control where you can’t even access the internet, watch regular television shows, dress how you want, or even know the truth about your political leaders. Next time you hear a student complaining about having a bad day at school, it’s not nearly as bad as what students deal with in North Korea. There, you have to study, and parents even have to pay money for their kids to attend! That’s unique compared to other countries where education is federally funded. There’s much more to know...so hang with us and find out! Our education system is starved for cash, and this is a direct result of the Republican policy of letting corporations get away without paying taxes. A recent article on Alternet explains the problem this way: Corporations operating in states are required to pay state taxes, which are then used to fund public education, among a host of other state programs. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this. HIT SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CLASSIC VIDEOS Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall Lifted from "Pink Floyd The Wall" film, this video is actually comprised of two songs: "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" This video became the official video of "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" after the release of the film in 1982. This single is by far Pink Floyd's greatest ever mainstream success, instantly attaining classic status, and is perhaps their most famous piece of work. ABINTW Pt. 2 even became the protest song of a group of South African students during the apartheid regime, the song was subsequently banned in South Africa. The song itself is a protest against the rigidity of British schools, and in particular, the boarding school system Waters would have been part of as a young boy. The poem read out by the schoolteacher is a direct reference to "Money" The schoolteacher in this video was portrayed by the late, great, Scottish actor Alex McAvoy who passed away in June 2005. If you haven't seen "The Wall" I would Highly recommend you to do so.

Summer break is in full swing, but with August days away, the start of the school year is fast approaching. As kids beg for new backpacks and parents mentally prepare for another schedule shift, personal finance website WalletHub is taking a look at the country’s statewide school systems. And for California, the results are grim. According to WalletHub’s analysis, California has the 9th worst school system in the nation, thanks in part to low reading and math test results, a high dropout rate and an abysmal score (worst in the nation) for the high number of pupils per teachers in our classrooms. http://www.sfgate.com/education/article/California-s-school-system-ranked-9th-worst-in-6410633.php http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by O&O Self Storyboarding using http://wochit.com

High School Teacher Gives Vulgar Awards to Students Time for Education System to Work with Parents http://VFNKB.com We need to know what is taking place in our education system. Many schools are not working with parents, and because of this, we need to pray for the Education Mountain and for God’s Kingdom to come to our education system. We can do something about the things that are being taught in public schools and tell the leaders to stop teaching our children the subjects that are against God. And if they don’t change it, we can take our kids out of that school, and as more Christians do this, the education system will have to change so that they will have students to teach. Another change that can be made is that the parents should be asked about what is being taught so that the school leaders can get approval on what to teach. We can stand up for God and even if no one else stands up with us, we will know that we stood in faith for what is right. A drama teacher at Bellingham High had an award ceremony that included vulgar words, vulgar gifts, and a vulgar skit. This is minor compared to many of the things that our kids are seeing. The teacher wrote an apology, but nothing else happened to reprimand her for what she allowed to happen in her class. If the leadership in education will not make the changes that we need in our schools, then we have the power to vote for someone who represents our values and will make the changes that are needed. Be encouraged to be involved in the meetings at your local schools. Honor the leadership in place but do not be intimidated and speak out what is right. Another horrific event that took place because of a story that was accessed through tablets that the school gave to their students. The story is about the Slender Man which is a fictional character that has tentacles coming out of its back. It is a horror story, and in the story, you must kill someone to show your dedication to Slender Man. Two 12-year-old girls who attended this school in Wisconsin wanted to prove that slender man is real by carrying out that part of the story. The girls had a sleep over and had their “best friend” stay over, and the two girls stabbed their friend reportedly 19 times! One girl even said she had no remorse for stabbing her. There are many horrific things taking place in schools, and this is a strategy of the enemy to take over the schools with darkness. As Christians, we need to stand up for what is right and bring God back into our education system. We want to hear from you.

This information is shared by Stephen Guise http://stephenguise.com Check the complete article here http://stephenguise.com/how-school-trains-us-to-fail-in-the-real-world/ http://stephenguise.com/how-school-trains-us-to-fail-in-the-real-world/ The modern American school system does not encompass or define learning, it is a dominant subset of it. Do you want to know why I dislike school? Homework, sure, but more important than that are these four ways that school trains us to fail in “the real world.” Instead of learning critical life skills on how to manage money, how to negotiate, or how to communicate, kids are mostly taught to memorize information. This is helpful to learn, but not at the cost of not learning critical life skills. Many people put these “life” skills on the onus of the parents to teach their kids, but not all parents are qualified to teach these lessons, and many assume that school is “enough learning.” The school system would be a perfect place to learn these indispensable skills. I can’t give school a hall pass on this one, because it is set up as a core way that kids are prepared to live in the world. Why is it positioned as such when it lacks personal growth training, financial management training, communication training, emotional intelligence training, and healthy living training? Psychology is the closest course to any of these, but it’s mostly in college and typically optional. You could come up with a few examples of where these skills are taught in school, or where some wisdom is imparted by a particularly great teacher. But this is a general problem of focus that schools have. Schools are not set up to teach us what matters most. School (noun) — A place where students suck on an information teat instead of learning how to feed themselves.
