11 Mistakes Everyone Make When Trying to Eat Healthy

11:01
Why can't you lose weight? You abstain from potato chips, ice cream, fast food, soda, cake, and even pizza. Your new menu consists of all the fitness guru essentials. Unfortunately, you still haven’t lost an inch around your waist! So what’s the deal here? Are you doing something wrong? Perhaps the problem is in these 11 all-too common dieting mistakes that even the biggest health nuts are guilty of! TIMESTAMPS: Choosing organic products 1:09 Going gluten-free 2:11 Buying low-fat products 3:19 Drinking fruit juices 4:18 Eating energy bars 5:10 Preferring dried fruits over whole ones 6:00 Choosing eggs with a brown shell 6:41 Drinking sports drinks 7:27 Buying imported products 8:27 Eating granola 9:10 Cutting food intake without counting calories 9:46 #healthyfood #dietmistakes Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - When growing organic products, farmers don’t use synthetic pesticides. Instead, they’re replaced with natural pesticides, the side effects of which haven’t really been studied thoroughly. - According to the latest research, abstaining from whole grains, which are full of gluten, increases a person’s risk of developing cardiovascular disease. - Our bodies actually do need fat, and excluding it from your diet is only recommend for real medical reasons. In all other cases, simply cutting down on your fat intake and being smart about what kinds of fats you consume will be enough. - If it contains the word “fruit” in it, how could drinking fruit juices possibly be bad for you? Well, this type of drink contains loads of sugar and calories. Plus, they don’t have any dietary fiber. - Most bars contain sugar, chocolate glaze, caramel, artificial flavors, and other additives. They’re no different from ordinary sweets when it comes to sugar content, while the amount of calories in them equals a full-fledged meal! - Sports drinks, like a lot of the items on this list, contain tons of sugar, corn syrup, artificial food additives, and colorants. - The hype around granola has been created mostly by marketing experts. Sure, it’s got fiber and iron, but granola also contains a lot of sugar and some not-so-healthy oils that definitely aren’t gonna help you achieve your dream bod. 10 Foods You Should Never Eat

10:45
We know some products are really dangerous for our health, and other products are good for us as they are healthy. It turns out it’s not so simple and some of the most promoted and popular foods can, in fact, harm you. Never eat these 10 dangerous foods for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. Even if you see the juice labels “not from concentrate” or “100% pure”, don't let this fool you. Juice, after being squeezed from different fruits, is kept in huge vacuum-sealed tanks where it can sit for up to a year before being packaged! And by that time, the juice has lost all its flavor, which is why manufacturers have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste fruity again. In most cases, cereals are loaded with refined carbohydrates and sugar. Even if the label assures you that it's fat-free and whole grain, check the list of ingredients. You'll most likely see that the product is full of sugar. Despite common belief, most yogurts don't contain probiotic bacteria since the process of pasteurization kills all these microorganisms. When consumed, trans-fats in ice-cream can cause high cholesterol, stroke, heart disease, and even cancer. Ice cream is also loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives. And if it’s pink, purple, or red, it’s most likely been colored with cochineal extract or carmine, additives which can cause bad allergic reactions. Popcorn has some genetically modified ingredients as well as taste-boosting chemicals and additives. This leads to health problems such as heart attacks, digestive issues, allergies, skin rashes, breathing problems, and the depressing list goes on. Even more, popcorn is extremely caloric. Music: Vibe Mountain - Great Hope The 126ers - Reversed Eclipse Rondo Brothers - Yellow Gold Kevin MacLeod - Jay Jay Silent Partner - Pink Lemonade https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Fruit juices 0:37 Energy bars 1:42 Cereal 2:31 Margarine 3:21 Low-fat yogurt 4:11 Ice cream 5:01 Eggs 6:07 Microwave popcorn 7:09 Sugar-free candy 8:32 Diet soda 9:26 SUMMARY -Store-bought juices may contain some real fruit, but most of their content is water, sugar, and artificial flavoring. -Protein bars and energy bars alike are usually processed products containing sugar, artificial flavors and sweeteners. -Breakfast cereals typically contain a teeny tiny amount of whole grains, which allows producers to mark their product as healthy, but they also contain unhealthy sugar. -Margarine is typically made from industrial vegetable oils hydrogenated to become solid, a process that significantly increases the oils’ trans-fat content. -Manufacturers load “low-fat” yogurts with sugar to make up for the lack of taste usually provided by the natural fats. -Instead of pure milk or cream, manufacturers use cheaper hydrogenated fats such as palm- or coconut oil to produce ice-cream. These oils, when heated, become nothing more than trans-fats. -One egg contains as much cholesterol as a big greasy burger. -Microwave popcorn’s almost always lined with the same toxic substance you can find in Teflon pans. -If candy doesn’t contain sugar, it contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharine. These substances are chemically processed and may cause some serious side effects. -Artificial sweeteners in diet soda can easily lead to weight gain as they trigger the production of insulin, which makes your body store fat. What's the DASH Diet and Why Doctors Call It the Best Diet

09:04
How to lose belly fat? How to lose weight fast without exercises? Doctors say that this diet is the most effective way to improve your overall condition. According to the National Institute of Health, it scored a 3.3 out of 5 in the “Weight Loss Effectiveness” category and 4.5 out of 5 in “Health Usefulness”. Out of 40 diets evaluated, it was chosen number one! So who is this all-star? It’s something called the DASH diet. The DASH diet is an easy, safe, and useful plan that can help you feel better and get rid of excess weight. You can lose weight gradually, no starving or yo-yo dieting. It won’t shock or stress your body out. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. It’s a diet developed specifically to reduce blood pressure in those with hypertension. But scientists understood later on that this diet resolves tons of other health issues. It reduces cholesterol, prevents stroke and heart failure, and brings the weight down to a healthy level, even for those with obesity. Plus, it’s considered the best diet to prevent diabetes. Besides controlling blood pressure, people following it managed to improve insulin resistance. TIMESTAMPS What's it all about? 1:23 A few general rules to lose weight 2:15 What you can eat to lose fat 3:37 What food you should avoid for losing weight 5:13 How to plan your diet 5:44 Weight loss benefits 6:18 Is it easy to follow the DASH eating plan? 7:17 SUMMARY The DASH diet wasn't originally designed for weight loss, but there have been some studies proving that this eating plan can help people get rid of unwanted pounds. The DASH diet balances all the necessary nutrients and minerals, like calcium, potassium, protein, and fiber, that are responsible for brain and overall organ function. It improves the condition of your hair and skin as well. What’s convenient about this diet is that you don't have to calculate and monitor each nutrient: you just need to reduce your salt intake and eat certain recommended foods, for instance, fruits, vegetables, grains, protein-rich foods, and dairy products. Compared to trendy crash diets, DASH is different. This is a complete lifestyle change. It’s for people who need to take care of their eating habits throughout their lives. There’s no cutting out or starving involved. You can have all sorts of tasty dishes. Have you ever tried the DASH diet? If so, how did you like it? Tell us in the comments below. What If You Stopped Eating Sugar for 1 Week

08:46
Eating too much sugar can seriously affect your health. What will happen to your heart, brain, and skin, if you quit sugar at least for a week? Eating too much sugar leads to weight gain, sharp mood swings, and even addiction. Some nutritionists consider sugar to be even more dangerous than fat, but we still don’t pay enough attention to the amount of sugar we consume every day. What will happen to you if you quit sugar at least for a week? Well, the changes are going to be incredible! We're going to tell you how you'll feel if you stop eating donuts and if it’s even worth the effort. TIMESTAMPS You'll overcome a serious addiction 0:55 Your breath will be better 1:33 You’ll increase your brain power 2:13 You’ll be less likely to have Alzheimer’s disease 2:44 Your skin will look younger 3:11 Your heart will thank you 3:36 You’ll have less bad cholesterol 4:09 You’ll have a much better mood 4:29 You'll finally get a good sleep 5:04 You’ll be less likely to have diabetes 5:35 You'll lower the risk of having cancer 6:03 Your eyesight will be sharper 6:23 You'll lose weight fast 6:50 You'll see your doctor less often 7:22 You'll save a crazy amount of money 7:57 SUMMARY - Studies show (and that might sound shocking) that sugar is actually more addictive than cocaine! Lab rats were given cocaine until they became addicted to it. - Sugar is often linked to the development of numerous lung conditions, so lowering sugar intake results in weakening asthma symptoms. - Studies have shown that sugar hinders such activities as learning and memorizing things. - A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that giving up sugar may result in your acne disappearing. Sugar is inflammatory, and inflammation is known as a cause of acne. - People who eat too much sugar have a much higher risk of having a heart attack. - High sugar intake raises levels of bad cholesterol and blood fats that can clog your blood vessels, leading to severe heart conditions that can be a huge threat to your life. - Studies found that people, who eat very little sugar or none at all, are rarely diagnosed with depression. - You will be very active throughout the day and ready to sleep when the bedtime comes. Your day/night cycle will be more naturally balanced. - When you eat too much glucose, high insulin resistance develops. It means that sugar can’t get into your cells and can get stuck in the bloodstream. - Pancreatic cancer is often linked to high sugar intake. However, the results of the studies haven’t been entirely consistent; it’s better not to take the risk on this one. - Sugar also affects the health of your eyes. Fluctuations of insulin and glucose levels lead to vessel damage and decrease blood supply to your eyes. - When you eat a lot of sugar, especially fructose, you are very likely to overeat. The pancreas is forced to produce more insulin, so other hormones that regulate metabolism, digestion, and weight are neglected. - Your immune system is seriously affected by consumption of large amounts of sugar. You are protected from bacteria and viruses by white blood cells. - Stop eating sugar and spending money on doctors, dentists, those expensive acne concealers and sweet food and drinks that only harm you. What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day

10:07
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. It also promotes healthy skin overall. -One serving, or about half a cup, of oatmeal gives your body 15% of the recommended daily amount of protein. Don’t forget about vitamin E, antioxidants, and glutamine, which help muscle fibers regenerate faster. -Oats are rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. -Oatmeal is full of carbohydrates that give your body the energy it needs. -Beta-glucan in oats keeps you from overeating by helping you feel fuller for a longer amount of time and promoting the release of a satiety hormone. -The linoleic acid and soluble fiber contained in oatmeal helps lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. -Oats are rich in good healthy fats and support the cells in the heart and circulatory system. -Experts recommend getting at least 25-38 grams of dietary fiber every day since it’s ideal for good digestion. -Try apple pie oatmeal to boost your metabolism. You’ll need oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, a large apple and apple sauce to cook it. -The ingredients you’ll need for oatmeal raisin cookies are flour, sea salt, baking soda, butter, an egg, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apple sauce and fast-cooking oats. -To cook almond butter-banana oatmeal, you’ll need oatmeal, milk, almond butter, honey and a banana. How to Break Sugar Addiction: 7 Steps to Help You Stop Eating Sugar

05:44
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Hey, nerd family! In this video, we’re going to be talking about how to break sugar addiction and the 7 steps to help you stop eating sugar! At the end, we will also discuss honey, agave, and artificial sweeteners. Sugar is a substance extracted from plants like cane and sugar beet which is refined into a white crystalline substance. Since their effect on the blood stream, insulin, and brain are virtually the same, they are both considered sugar in the context of this video. http://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/glycemic_index_and_glycemic_load_for_100_foods? Sugars are addictive because they cause a supernatural release of dopamine in the brain. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0149763407000589 Dopamine is the primary neurotransmitter involved in addiction. In fact, multiple studies have now revealed that sugar and sweet rewards can not only substitute to addictive drugs, like cocaine but can even be more rewarding and attractive https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23719144 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2235907/ The brain chemistry of those addicted to drugs and those addicted to sugar are virtually identical. 7-Step Process to Breaking Sugar Addiction: #1. Realize what’s going on with your brain your body, sugar, and flour. People often stop consuming obvious sugar culprits like sodas and candy bars and trade them for bread and pasta. As previously discussed, those breads and pastas cause the same problems as sugar. #2. Understand levels of addiction Not everyone who drinks becomes an alcoholic. The same way not everyone who eats dessert becomes a sugar addict. We are individuals with different brain chemistry and the important thing is recognizing your own personal level of addiction. If just thinking about giving up sugar seems like a bleak, dark, and unhappy world, understand this is uniquely similar to how addicts feel about substances they abuse. You may be VERY addicted to sugar. #3. Detox You need to spend a period of time completely away from sugar and those dopamine spikes to break the addiction. This will often lead to an initial period of headaches, hormonal fluctuations, and just feeling like poop for a little while. The detox process can last from anywhere from 3 to 21 days. However, on the other side of breaking any addiction is a much healthier place. #4. Become a nutrition label ninja. Sugar is often hiding in places you don’t expect. Yogurt, pasta sauce, are protein bars often have TONS of added sugar You need to become a PRO a reading nutrition labels and feel free to check out my older video on the topic. #5. Balance blood sugar levels by eating balanced meals During the detox process, you need to focus on having balanced meals to keep your blood sugar levels steady to prevent crashes. You do this by eating meals that combine protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Whole egg omelets with lots of veggies, Chicken salads with olive oil dressing, and a grass fed beef stew are great examples of this. Protein, fiber, and healthy fat at every meal. #6. Heal you gut In an interesting study in Switzerland, men who were separated into two group based on chocolate cravings. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/12/AR2007101200019.html You do this by eating balanced meals as listed above, avoiding sugar and processed foods, and getting healthy probiotics into your diet. What about honey and agave nectar? Because of how the brain works the more you eat sugar, the more you crave. The more you stimulate supernatural sensations in the brain and taste buds, the more it’s going to want and need. While these sugars do have mild health benefits, if you are struggling with even a mild sugar addiction, you need to cut these things out. Sooooo what about artificial sweeteners like Stevia? While previous correlated evidence told us that artificial sweeteners caused additional sugar cravings and even cancer, better studies have shown us otherwise. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2892765/ Randomized double blind studies — aka the gold standard in scientific research — report that artificial sweeteners help us becomes less hungry, consume fewer calories, and don’t stimulate additional sugar consumption. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24862170 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23364015 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12324283 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2008866 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22093544 The conclusion on the research as of now points to these sweeteners being ok in mild doses when trying to break a sugar addiction.

What Happens to Your Body When You Start Eating Honey Every Day

09:06
Honey is the only product which contains all the necessary ingredients to keep you alive and healthy: vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and water. Today, we are exploring all of its benefits and healthy properties. Honey is sweet, made by bees, and Winnie-the-Pooh loves it. But do you also know that honey has existed for millions of years? That honey will never spoil if kept in an airtight container? We at Bright Side have been looking for quite some time for such a product, and it turned out to be natural honey. And we're definitely going to eat a spoonful of it every day from now on! TIMESTAMPS Clearer skin 0:51 Loss of excess weight 2:37 Lowered cholesterol level 3:44 Stronger heart 4:27 Better memory 5:08 Sounder sleep 6:03 Healthier stomach 6:28 Relieved nervous tension 7:14 Honey and garlic combo 7:44 SUMMARY Honey and garlic combo When combined with another natural remedy with strong antiseptic and healing properties — garlic — the power of honey will increase tenfold. Garlic-infused honey will boost your immune system and keep you in good health. You're going to need the following ingredients: • 3-4 heads of garlic • 1 cup raw honey • a small jar with a lid Separate the garlic heads into cloves, and remove their outer layers. Put them into the jar, and then pour honey over them. Remove bubbles if necessary. Cover the jar with a lid, and put it away to infuse for a few days. Take one spoonful a day on an empty stomach, and you will feel energized and healthy like never before. Hopefully, you are already running to your kitchen or the nearest store to start your honey-based treatment. But remember just one thing: like overindulging in anything else, eating too much honey can cause some serious problems. Maybe you have noticed that in all the recipes all you need is one or maximum two spoonfuls of honey. No wonder. If you eat more, it can dramatically increase your sugar level, cause allergy, or lead to putting on excess weight. Therefore, eat it moderately! Processed Food Documentary - Processed Food vs. Nutritional Needs

33:36
Processed Food Documentary: Processed Food vs. Nutritional Needs. The human body runs on food. Once, food shortage was the major concern. After the second world war, technological advances in food production led to a new era, that was characterized by an overabundance of inexpensive food, and relatively little physical activity. In the decades that followed, other sociocultural shifts continued to contribute to the changing way we ate. Women who had previously controlled most of the average family's food preparation now entered the workforce in significant numbers. And the processed food industry began to capitalize on our need for fast, convenient food. This meant that fewer meals were being cooked at home. And since convenience foods were generally higher in calories than home-cooked meals, the average person's caloric intake increased dramatically. Maya Adam, MD, is waging a battle cry against one of America’s most critical – and challenging – public health crises of our generation: childhood obesity. However, there are foods you can eat without risk of gaining weight. Can you imagine eating popcorn at any time and in any quantity?! To figure out how that’s possible, watch our list of foods that will never make you fat. TIMESTAMPS Celery 0:44 Arugula 1:15 Egg whites 1:38 Salad 2:09 Cucumbers 2:41 Cauliflower 3:12 Tomatoes 4:00 Broccoli 4:27 Oranges 4:55 Kale 5:19 Sugar snap peas 5:43 Grapefruit 6:03 Melon 6:26 Strawberries 6:46 Blackberries 7:10 Popcorn 7:28 Blueberries 7:54 SUMMARY - Celery has anti-allergic and antiseptic properties. This plant can improve your digestion and overall health. - There are only 10 calories in 2 cups of arugula. It helps you get slimmer without damaging your health. - Scientists found that eggs keep you feeling full for longer periods than foods that contain more carbs. Mix the whites with a few tomatoes and get the healthiest omelet ever! - Salad is packed with vitamins A and C as well as folic acid and iron. It’s practically devoid of calories (10 to 20 calories, depending on the type). - Fresh, crunchy cucumbers have significant health benefits. The skin of a cucumber contains most of its nutritional value, particularly beta-carotene, which is good for your eyes. - Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamins C and K. Also, it contains only 25 calories. - One tomato has about 25 calories. Tomatoes are full of lycopene, vitamins A, C, and B2, folic acid, fiber, chromium, and potassium.  - Broccoli contains 31 calories, and it is one of the favorite foods of those who want to lose weight. - Oranges are one of the most delicious fruits. They are best known for their vitamin C content. By the way, the white stuff under the orange skin, the pith, is really good for you. - Kale, like any other edible seaweed, contains a large amount of iodine and it’s almost devoid of calories. It has about 32 calories. - Sugar snap peas are very low in calories: a cup of peas contains around 35 calories. - Grapefruits help to stabilize blood sugar levels. They’re full of vitamin C, and, due to their low caloric value, they can help you reduce those extra inches around your waist. - Melon contains over half the recommended daily value of vitamins A and C and only 55 calories. Melon is also very useful for preventing flu and improving the immune system. - Strawberries are rich in potassium and fiber and have an anti-inflammatory effect. It sounds surprising, but a couple of strawberries contain as much vitamin C as an orange. - Blackberries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C. Also, they have an amazing taste. - One cup of air-popped popcorn will never affect your body. This “movie snack” mostly consists of air, and you can enjoy eating it without fear of gaining extra weight. - Blueberries have more antioxidants than any other fruit. Therefore, a cup of blueberries will help you balance your diet.  What helps you control your weight and stay in shape? 20 Foods to Eat And Avoid on an Empty Stomach

05:57
What to eat on an empty stomach? What should you avoid eating on an empty stomach? Only a few people are aware that some foods are not very good for us if eaten on an empty stomach. Yogurt, a cup of coffee, and fresh orange juice — this is what most people probably picture when they think of a perfect breakfast. However, we at Bright Side have created a simple infographic that will guide you through what we should eat and what we should avoid in the morning. TIMESTAMPS Shortcrust and puff pastries 0:33 Any sweets 0:58 Yogurt and other fermented milk products 1:29 Pears 1:56 Tomatoes 2:24 Cucumbers and other green vegetables 3:00 Bananas 3:34 Spicy foods 4:08 Cold carbonated drinks 4:43 Citrus fruits 5:11 SUMMARY - No more orange juice in the morning! Citrus fruits are rich in fruit acids. When eaten on an empty stomach, they can cause heartburn and increase the risks of gastritis and even gastric ulcers. - Also, shortcrust and puff pastries aren’t the best solution for your morning meal. This food contains yeast, so it irritates the lining of your stomach and may cause flatulence. - What else to avoid? It may sound strange to you, but eating yogurt and other fermented milk products for breakfast has little benefit for your body. If you eat them on an empty stomach, then hydrochloric acid, formed in the stomach, kills the lactic acid bacteria. - Finally, if you eat bananas when your stomach is empty, this will lead to a sharp increase in the amount of magnesium in the blood which may harm your heart. They can also have an immediate positive effect if you have problems with bad breath as they are a natural breath freshener. - According to several studies that can be found in the MEDLINE database, cucumbers have the ability to lower and control blood sugar. - There are different B vitamins in cucumbers: B1, B5, and B7 (or biotin). Silica can also improve the condition of your skin by making it brighter and healthier. - One of the minerals contained in cucumbers is potassium. We’re going to be talking about ways to achieve health, and things that Bodhi Ron has done to achieve them in his own life. Bodhi Ron, please introduce yourself and share a little bit about your background with the listeners. Ron Johnson: Well thanks Kamala. I’m currently a yoga teacher, and yoga and eastern philosophy are my areas of expertise. I first started to study yoga when I was going to college at UC Santa Cruz. And I’ve also written meditative poetry and music, and I’m working on a book. I’m editing a book that I’ve finished, but I’m rewriting it right now on eastern philosophy and yoga. Kamala Appel: Okay cool; that’s cool. Tell me a little bit about your journey towards where you are now in terms of health; what happened in your life, if there was an aha moment, please share that or if it’s just a longer process, please feel free to share that with us. But, what made you make the commitment to living a healthier life? Ron Johnson: Well, there were two moments, two times really; I got back from a spiritual retreat back in 2000. I had attended this spiritual retreat with a teacher, a spiritual teacher, Katherine Ingram, and we did some yoga on that, and I’d been having normal amounts of troubles with child custody and that type of thing when I went to the retreat. And when I came back, a couple of weeks after I got back, I had this moment where I was having trouble sleeping because of all these things that were running through my mind. And I just got up and went out and laid down on the couch, and suddenly this feeling just washed over me where all that just dissolved, and I was just lying there perfectly at peace, and calm; it was strange. If You Eat an Avocado a Day For a Month, Here's What Will Happen to You

09:20
What Will Happen to Your Body If You Eat Avocado Every Day. The avocado is a unique fruit with multiple nutritional and health benefits. How would your body respond if you ate just one avocado a day? In fact, it would transform your life as you’d get amazing results: your breath will be fresh at all times, your kidneys and liver will work more efficiently, your blood pressure will become lower, just to name a few. There's a miraculous mineral to be found in avocados: potassium. It helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. Avocados are also a great source of vitamins C and E. Vitamin C is known for its involvement in the creation of collagen and elastin, which help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Vitamin E takes it to a whole new level, reducing the damage of excessive sun exposure and counteracting aging. TIMESTAMPS How to get fresh breath. 0:37 How to make your kidneys work more efficiently. 1:26 How to decrease your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. 2:20 How to make your liver function more efficiently. 3:16 How to lower your blood pressure. 4:13 How to improve your vision. 5:07 How to get extra protection from cancer. 6:03 How to lose weight easily. 6:52 How to make your skin glow. 7:49 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Avocado has antibacterial and antioxidant flavonoids, which kill bacteria in your mouth and make your breath fresh. -Potassium helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. A good fluid balance allows your kidneys to function better. -Eating avocados regularly lowers the “bad” LDL cholesterol and blood triglycerides by up to 22% and increases the “good” HDL cholesterol by up to 11%. -This fruit is actually one of the best products for a liver-friendly diet, and that's all thanks to its ability to help your body produce glutathione! The liver desperately craves this antioxidant to filter out harmful substances and protect its cells from damage. -Potassium in avocados helps regulate the fluid balance benefits your blood pressure too. In this case, potassium prevents osteoporosis and, most importantly, lowers your blood pressure. -Avocados are high in antioxidants, especially carotenoids called lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect our eyes against harmful blue light. -The ability of avocados to give that extra bit of protection from cancer comes from the carotenoids and monounsaturated fat they contain, both of which make their own contribution to the impressive reduction of cancer. -Avocados are rich in fiber, which is essential for making those unwanted pounds disappear. Fiber is incredibly filling and digests slowly. -Thanks to vitamins C and E avocados help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Avocados are also rich in omega-9 fatty acids, and they’re crucial for maintaining moisture in the epidermis and regenerating epidermal cells. If You Believe These 14 Food Myths, You Won't Be Healthy

10:01
We are obsessed with food. But you gotta be careful nowadays because there’s a lot of misinformation floating around out there. Which popular food myths are you guilty of believing in? We’re often told that we need some protein right after a workout and that oranges contain the highest amount of vitamin C. Do you wanna know if it's true? Bright Side has examined some of the most widespread beliefs about healthy and unhealthy food and discovered that most of them have nothing to do with reality! Watch the video to find out! TIMESTAMPS: Eating a lot of carrots can improve your eyesight 0:44 Oranges contain the highest amount of vitamin C 1:24 If you swallow chewing gum, it’ll take 7 years to digest 2:09 Turkey makes you feel sleepy 2:43 All packaged food is unhealthy and high in salt 3:31 Fruits and vegetables with brown spots are spoiled 4:08 White potatoes are bad for your health 4:58 There are products that contain "negative" calories 5:28 Raw vegetables are healthier than cooked ones 6:02 White vegetables don't have any nutritional value 6:35 Juices are great substitutes for meals 6:57 Pregnant women should avoid seafood 7:38 Lemon water will boost your metabolism 8:03 You need to have some protein right after a workout 8:52 #foodmyths #healthyfood #unhealthyfood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Carrots do contain plenty of vitamin A, which is essential for eye health. But unfortunately, no matter how many carrots you eat, you'll still have to keep wearing your glasses! - Yes, oranges are a great source of vitamin C… just like any other citrus fruit! And contrary to popular belief, they don’t contain the highest amount. - While it’s true that your body can’t break down and digest swallowed gum, it will still go through your digestive system and eventually be removed from your body through bowel movement. - The minuscule amounts of L-tryptophan in turkey aren't enough to knock you out. Besides, other meats contain no less tryptophan, so why do you feel so sleepy after eating them too? It’s most likely your body’s reaction to eating too much sugar during the huge festive dinner! - It's true that most packaged foods have a lot of fat, calories, and additives. But there are some packaged products that can contribute to a healthy and nutritionally balanced diet. - Unsightly stains don’t affect the inside of the fruit or make it any less tasty. Unfortunately, most people take one look at them and chuck perfectly good food away! - White potatoes differ from white rice or white bread. These vegetables are nutritious and contain a lot of fiber, vitamin C, and B vitamins. - To digest food, your body uses only about 10% of the calories it’s consumed. But these low-calorie foods are still great for a healthy diet and weight loss! - On the one hand, the process of cooking can indeed kill particular nutrients that raw vegetables contain. However, the same process can improve the absorption of other nutrients. - Certain white vegetables like turnips and cauliflower are a great source of important nutrients. - Packaged juices contain too much sugar and almost no pulp. As a result, when you drink it, you increase your insulin levels. - Certain kinds of seafood are rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids. And these components are actually vital for the development of a baby! - Lemon water won't make any long-term changes or help you lose unwanted weight. - You do need to support your body with some kind of fuel after a workout. But to grow muscle mass, it's more important to take in protein daily. 9 Foods That Are Safe to Eat Even at Night

10:40
Is eating at night bad for you? And what can people eat before going to bed if they don't want to gain weight? Many of us think that whatever we eat late at night goes straight to our hips and waistline. But according to the research, there are some very tasty products you can eat at night without gaining weight. Hooray! TIMESTAMPS: Cheese 2:05 Cottage cheese 2:58 Hummus 3:47 Yogurt 4:21 Crackers 5:07 Popcorn 5:50 Eggs 6:34 Veggies 7:08 Banana 7:44 Bonus: Foods to avoid 8:37 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Cheese is a high-protein food. So if you find yourself starving at night, a piece of cheese will keep you full until the next day. - Cottage cheese contains a protein called casein, which has a very slow digestion rate. This is why it’s the best sort of protein for late-night snacking: it staves off hunger and increases the feeling of fullness. - Hummus is a great source of protein, especially if it's homemade. If you hear your stomach growl, carrots or celery sticks dipped in hummus are an excellent option. - Scientists have proved that Greek yogurt is a perfect late-night snack. It's high in protein, low in fat, and very low in sugar. This makes it a perfect low-calorie snack that can satisfy even the most severe late-night cravings. - Whole grain crackers with complex carbs that are low in calories. When you buy this product, make sure its ingredients list mentions that they're “100% whole grain.” - It may sound surprising, but popcorn is a perfectly safe snack to eat at night. However, this doesn't refer to popcorn in a microwave bag, which is loaded with butter. - An egg is another amazing snack option. One egg contains only 75 calories, but it's very high in protein and will make you feel full for a long time. - Veggie snacks are the best! They are healthy and low in calories. They contain nutrients, vitamins, and a lot of fiber. - Although bananas are quite high in calories, they also contain a high amount of potassium and magnesium. Thanks to these elements, bananas are unbeatable relaxers. - Although apples are low in calories and loaded with all sorts of nutrients, it's best to eat one in the morning or early afternoon. - Although alcohol can make some people sleepy, it also dehydrates your body and makes you feel hungry. As a result, you may wake up in the middle of the night feeling exceedingly hungry. - It’s no secret that spicy and salty foods dehydrate you. And when you wake up in the wee hours of the night to drink some water, you’ll most likely want to eat as well. Eat 2 Dates Everyday For a Week, See What Happens To Your Skin

08:10
Do you like dates? Let's be honest; they don't usually pop up in our brain whenever we think about healthy foods. And that's a real bummer since this fruit has tons of undeniable advantages for our health. So what would happen if you ate them daily? Can dates really change your looks? If so, how? If you wanna add dates to your diet, you have to follow a couple of simple rules. First and foremost, dates are kinda high in sugar and calories, so you should always eat them in moderation. 2 dates a day is more than enough to get all the health benefits your body needs. Plus, there are tons of ways you can incorporate this fruit into your meals, from using it as an appetizer to consuming it as an in-between-meals snack. If you want to increase dates' abilities, make sure you add more fruits like apples, bananas, and pears to your menu. Dates can't do all the work for you, so as long as you stay away from stress triggers, try to stick to a healthier diet, and move more, they'll double all the results of your hard work. TIMESTAMPS: You'll have more energy 0:41 Your cholesterol level will decrease 1:28 Your digestive system will work more effectively 2:01 Your blood pressure will be balanced 2:37 Your vision will improve 3:09 Your bones will be stronger 3:44 You'll have a stronger immune system 4:18 Your brain will work better 5:11 Your metabolism will increase 5:43 Your skin will look amazing 6:24 #healthydiet #healthyskin #dates Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you wanna keep your energy up throughout the day and be just as productive in the evening as you are in the afternoon, simply incorporate dates into your meals! This fruit is very high in natural sugars such as glucose, fructose, and sucrose, and they can give you a necessary energy boost. - Even though dates are quite sweet, they're very low in fat and completely free from cholesterol. They're basically the best diet food you can find! - Dates contain soluble fiber, which is exceptionally good at regulating digestion and helping with constipation. Specialists advise soaking a few dates in water for a night and then having them in the morning for breakfast. - High blood pressure is often the consequence of the excessive sodium or salt that we consume with our meals. But dates are not like other foods, you know! They contain barely any sodium. - This fruit contains an impressive amount of vitamin A, which gives your eyes an appropriate dose of nutrients and consequently strengthens your vision. So whether it's one of your biggest problems or it's tolerable and not that big of a deal, dates will certainly make your current eye situation much better. - This fruit is loaded with crucial elements like phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which are well known for their abilities to prevent bone-related conditions (including osteoporosis). - Apart from all the beneficial vitamins and nutrients dates contain, they're also rich in the antioxidants that protect your cells from free radicals and, therefore, prevent tons of diseases and harmful reactions happening in your body. - Dates contain a dose of powerful antioxidants that can significantly improve brain function. - Dates contain the full complex of B vitamins, along with vitamin K, riboflavin, niacin, and many other useful nutrients and minerals. - Dates prevent the accumulation of melanin in your body, reducing aging signs and helping with oily skin. And just like that, the regular consumption of dates can make your skin look fresh, clear, and gorgeous! Check out the other information about NUTRITION: http://tinyurl.com/EndPur2 (The Simple Superfoods) FACEBOOK : https://www.facebook.com/endpur.healthyliving In an archipelago southwest of Japan, lies the island of Okinawa, which is home to the healthiest population of centenarians (people over 100 years old) on earth. They suffer fewer instances of cancer, diabetes and heart attacks. Their secrets include a more nutrient based diet and less stressful living. Okinawan centenarians stay lean by eating fewer calories than they burn off during the day. They maintain a healthy weight. For them, meals are a social event where the focus is on the social interaction and not the food itself. They eat until they are almost full before they get stuffed. It takes 20 minutes for the body to signal to the brain that is it full. Americans like to eat until they are stuffed. You can use a hunger rating system to monitor your level of satisfaction. During a meal, rate your hunger on a scale of 1 to 5- (1 is famished and 5 is stuffed.) Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science

09:37
Why are Japanese people so thin? What do people eat in Japan? While the rest of the world is seeing anywhere from 15 to over 30% of its population severely overweight, Japan has managed to keep that number at just 3.6%. When it comes to health tips, it's better to turn to the country with the longest life expectancy and one of the lowest obesity rates on the planet. If you’re ready to find out how the Japanese manage to stay so effortlessly thin, keep our new video! In Japan, they usually stick to 3 wholesome meals a day that don’t leave them hungry or dealing with sudden cravings. Those who do snack keep it in small quantities and with a lot of moderation. Also, the secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. Dairy products and fruits are consumed in moderation. They tend to stay away from foods with excessive amounts of salt and sugar, like burgers and soda. TIMESTAMPS: Diet 0:50 No snacking 1:39 Fast food 2:02 Eating on time 2:58 Exercise for kids 3:44 Portion sizes 4:27 A great public transportation system 5:20 Tea time 6:15 Dinnerware 7:25 Food as an experience 8:09 #japan #japanesediet #japanesefood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. - Just like the rest of the world, a lot of Japanese people have a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave a lot of time or opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal. In that case, they can turn to their version of fast food, which is usually a lot healthier and resembles home-style cooking. - Most Japanese people have very regulated meal times. They eat 3 filling meals a day, with breakfast usually happening between 8 and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1pm, and dinner between 6 and 8pm. - It’s a lot more common for Japanese children to walk or cycle to school. Of course, other countries have a lot of reasons why it might not be efficient or safe for kids to hoof it to class. - Portion sizes have been on a steep rise in the last 20 years throughout the world. For example, countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. have much larger fast food portions than Japan. - Separate bicycle lanes and plenty of safe areas for pedestrians are common sites in Japan. This allows the Japanese to naturally burn calories as they commute to and from work or school every day. - Tea, especially the green variety, is the number one beverage in Japan. Green tea has been praised for having a ton of major health benefits, like increasing metabolism, burning fat, fighting anxiety, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to name a few. - The practice of using chopsticks also helps in weight management, since they make you eat more slowly and in smaller bites. This slow process of eating helps people catch when they’re feeling full and avoid eating too much. The fact that food is served on a bunch of plates also slows down the process. - The number one way that the Japanese stay thin has to do with removing distractions and being mindful about the process of food consumption. Eating in Japan is treated with respect. If you're confused on how to get in shape, let me help! I have a free body type quiz that will tell you exactly what to do to get started! 👉🏼 http://vshred.fit/5FatLossFoods 👈🏼 What's going on guys! In today's video I'm going to go over a few of my top fat loss friendly foods - now I'm not saying these are the only fat loss foods that they are, but each food I go over I'll cover the benefits and how it'll help you to get in shape. 1) Whole Eggs - by including the yolk in your diet, you're going to be including a plethora of nutrients that you otherwise wouldn't get from just the whites. 2) Potatoes - high in potassium and this is a nutrient that most people don't get enough of and it plays an important role in controlling your blood pressure (which is huge when trying to lose weight). Also, potatoes are extremely satiated and full and as a result this will help you to avoid binging right after you eat. 3) Vegetables - they're extremely low in calories and allow you to load up on volume without eating extra calories. They're also loaded in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Using vegetables to load up on all of your micronutrients is a great way to lose weight the healthy way. 4) Soup - yup, soup! Studies have shown that turning foods into soups actually helps people feel more satiated without eating all those extra calories! 5) Chia Seeds - a food very commonly referred to as one of the most nutritious foods on the planet due to their high fiber, protein and omega 3's. Chia seeds can absorb up to 12x their weight in water, expanding and leaving you feeling nice and full with a significantly lower number of calories eaten. But you might be missing more benefits than you realized. Bright Side will crack the myths behind eggs, especially the egg yolks and let you know what will happen if you eat 3 eggs a day. TIMESTAMPS: What an egg contains 1:02 Eggs keep you full and help with weight loss 3:44 Eggs improve eye health 4:16 Eggs keep your bones healthy 4:54 Eggs prevent iron deficiency 5:17 Eggs help with brain development in infants and fetuses 5:42 How to choose the right egg 6:35 What will happen if you eat 3 eggs a day 8:11 #eggs #eggdiet #weightloss Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Eggs have been getting a bad rap in the health and fitness community because they are associated with cholesterol and weight gain. Others say they may trigger a heart attack, and people who want to lose weight usually remove eggs from their diet. But what if you tried to eat 3 eggs a day? You might be missing more benefits than you realized. - Egg contain calories, protein, healthy fats, folate, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, selenium, and vitamins A, B5, B12, B2, D, E, K, and B6. They also contain omega-3 fatty acids and dietary cholesterol. - A large egg contains about 6 g of high-quality protein, which may help you eat less for several hours after a meal. As a result, this helps you lose weight. - Egg yolks contain lutein, which helps reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. It contains zeaxanthin, which protects you from the sun’s harmful UV rays. - Egg yolks improve bone metabolism and prevent the risk of osteoporosis. They are also a source of iron. - The yolks can also help to prevent birth defects during pregnancy. Vitamin B is important for the development of the spinal cord and fetal nervous system. It also helps prevent breast cancer, according to a study. - There are 4 types of eggs, and they are organized based on where the hen is raised and fed. Brown and white eggs have the same nutritional value according to the USDA (who debunked all previous myths on this matter). - A study from the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut revealed that a person who consumes 3 eggs a day may experience more of an increase in good cholesterol and decrease in bad cholesterol than someone who eats the same amount of egg substitute. My Child Won't Eat - Healthy Eating Habits for Life

One of the most common concerns voiced by new parents is how to get their kids to eat healthy foods. Children need more than just calories. The rapidly developing brain needs protein; fatty acids; iron; zinc; copper; iodine; selenium; vitamin A; vitamin B6; choline and folate just to name a few essential ingredients that come from proper nutrition. In the long-term, proper eating habits from infancy will carry on to adulthood and protect us from disease and disability.
Eat Chia Seeds Everyday for 2 Weeks, Here's What Will Happen To You

Chia seeds are often considered one of the healthiest foods in the world. And it's not surprising at all since they're packed with crucial elements and minerals. One great benefit of chia seeds is that they can help you to lose weight. That's all thanks to soluble fiber, which slows the absorption of food and makes you feel full for longer. Moreover, chia seeds also contain a high amount of protein, which significantly reduces appetite. A study conducted by the University of Toronto along with specialists from other institutions confirmed these effects. During the study, experts observed obese people with type 2 diabetes. The results showed that those who included chia seeds in their diet lost more weight and even reduced their waist circumference. Chia seeds can certainly be a great addition to a healthy lifestyle! But, believe it or not, chia seeds can change this vicious cycle! - If you have trouble sleeping, chia seeds can be your salvation. There are 2 hormones responsible for a good night’s sleep: serotonin and melatonin, which are produced by the amino acid called tryptophan. Luckily, chia seeds are rich in tryptophan, which assures your relaxation during the night hours. - Chia seeds contain calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, and zinc, and these elements all work wonders for your oral health. - With chia seeds on your menu, you don't have to worry about that! Just 1 oz of chia seeds contains 18% of your recommended daily intake of calcium and 30% of the recommended daily intake of manganese. - High cholesterol is never good for your body. It can block arteries to your brain, affect your memory, and even lead to a stroke. To keep your cholesterol levels in check, have some chia seeds! - A high blood sugar level is one of the most common reasons for type 2 diabetes. So if you wanna protect yourself, chia seeds can come in very handy! - Chia seeds are high in fiber, protein, and omega-3 acids, and the combination of these elements gives a great boost of protection to your health — especially when it comes to heart disease. - Chia seeds should surely be on the menu of all gym rats out there since they’re one of those rare natural products that can genuinely improve your workout efficiency. - Chia seeds are well known for being irreplaceable helpers when it comes to losing weight. That's all thanks to soluble fiber, which slows the absorption of food and makes you feel full for longer. - Mexican specialists analyzed chia seeds for a variety of factors and found that they have high antioxidant activity. Don't Eat This: The Brown Rice Myth

16:38
WHITE VS BROWN RICE Is white rice bad for you? The idea that brown rice is healthier than white rice for you is not just a myth, but a dangerous myth that is actively harming the health of millions of people. PHYTIC ACID First, brown rice is extremely high in a substance known as phytic acid. All of the phytic acid is found in the bran hull, the non-digestible outer layer of the rice grain. Since white rice is characterized by the absence of the outer layer, white rice does not contain any phytic acid. Phytic acid as a highly potent anti-nutrient. It binds minerals in your body and leeches them out of your system. To sum this point up, The phytic acid in rice is only present in the bran. White rice doesn’t have it. The bran is also filled with easily-oxidized PUFA oils. Also not present in white rice, which we’re going to discuss now. PUFAs The outer layer of rice is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, making brown rice a toxic food for several reasons, which I’ll explain here. I’ve talked at length about toxic PUFAs in my books, and in many articles and videos, however I’ll quickly recap the main points here again for you. First, PUFAs cause hormonal imbalance. The most well understood effect of PUFAs on hormonal imbalance is their interference with the function of the thyroid gland. PUFAs block thyroid hormone secretion, its movement in the circulatory system, and the response of tissues to the hormone. When the thyroid hormone is deficient, the body becomes exposed to increased levels of estrogen. The thyroid hormone is essential for making the "protective hormones" progesterone and pregnenolone, so the production of these protective hormones drops when anything interferes with the function of the thyroid. When it comes to natural steroid hormone production like testosterone, we also see a sharp drop in T production with the consumption of PUFAs. https://www.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.1152/jappl.1997.82.1.49 This same effect has been seen over and over again in medical research measuring hormonal impact of different types of fatty acids. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6538617 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2526906 Second, PUFAs damage the human immune system. Vegetable oil solutions have actually been developed specifically for the purpose of knocking out the human immune system. Their effects are that well documented in the medical literature. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1007/BF02537272 and PUFAs are known to directly axe white blood cells in humans. Third, PUFAs cause oxidative damage. Oxidative damage is https://www.news-medical.net/health/What-is-Oxidative-Stress.aspx an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract or detoxify their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants. The exposure of PUFAs to air causes the oil to go rancid; this is called oxidation, and it is the same process that occurs when oil paint "dries." Free radicals are produced in the process. This process is accelerated at higher temperatures, like cooking. The free radicals produced in this process react with parts of cells, such as molecules of DNA and protein and may become attached to those molecules, causing abnormalities of structure and function. Oxidative damage in the human body leads inevitably to the cytokines triggering an inflammatory response, http://www.med.or.jp/english/pdf/2002_07/271_276.pdf which manifests in many different symptoms in people ranging from autoimmune disorders, to hormonal imbalances, to even more serious diseases and deficiencies such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, cancers and genetic mutations, chronic fatigue syndrome, atherosclerosis, heart attacks and more. ARSENIC Consumer Reports specifically recommended the following: “Our scientists are also asking regulators to prohibit agricultural practices that may lead to increases in arsenic in rice: The EPA should phase out use of pesticides containing arsenic. The USDA and the EPA should end the use of arsenic-laden manure as fertilizer. The FDA should ban the feeding of arsenic-containing drugs and animal byproducts to animals.” The lowest levels of arsenic were found in white rice (jasmine or basmati) that was imported from other countries. Rinsing the rice (traditionally done in many cultures) further reduced the arsenic levels. The Center For Disease Control says on their website that Arsenic is a “confirmed human carcinogen.” Let’s recap. Brown rice is a toxic food that contains high amounts of a government admitted human carcinogen heavy metal, contains high amounts of phytic acid which is well-know to chelate vital micronutrients in the body, causing wide scale vitamin and mineral deficiencies in millions of people, and brown rice is extremely high in toxic PUFAs, which are documented in medical literature to damage thyroid hormone production and natural reproductive hormone production, damage the immune system, and massively increase oxidative stress.

Find The Answer To The Question How Many Meals A Day Are Optimal For You

08:16
There is a lot of confusing advice about the "optimal" meal frequency. According to many experts, eating breakfast jump starts fat burning and 5–6 small meals per day prevent your metabolism from slowing down. But studies actually show mixed results and it is not clear that more frequent meals help you lose weight. This article explores how many meals you should be eating and discusses the general health relevance of meal frequency. It appears eating at least three times per day can keep you full and reduce hunger. This is good for weight loss. Eating fewer than three times a day puts you at risk for overeating and choosing less healthy foods. Also, the quality of food can help with hunger management and weight loss. By eating foods with low energy density, like fruits and vegetables, you'll feel fuller longer. So, how do you lose weight? Everyone is different in the food they like, their medical histories and their lifestyles. Meeting with a registered dietitian is one way to meet your goals. He or she can assess your needs and design a nutrition plan just for you. Here are a few additional tips for successful weight loss: Choose foods that satisfy hunger. These include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Balance your meals and snacks. Fill half your plate with foods, like vegetables, that have many nutrients, fiber and few calories. This can help you eat smaller portions of higher-calorie foods, such as pasta, rice and meat. Keep track of what you eat. Apps and food diaries that track calories can help you see what and when you are eating. Be mindful. Learn to tell the difference between your physical hunger and hunger triggered by food availability or boredom. Plan ahead. Do not skip meals or allow yourself to get too hungry. This can put you at risk of overeating. Avoid high-calorie beverages. Sodas and juice provide a lot of calories but few nutrients. And they do little to help you feel satisfied. Want to know about other rules for healthy meal plans? Watch this video till the very end!
