If You Eat an Avocado a Day For a Month, Here's What Will Happen to You

09:20
What Will Happen to Your Body If You Eat Avocado Every Day. The avocado is a unique fruit with multiple nutritional and health benefits. How would your body respond if you ate just one avocado a day? In fact, it would transform your life as you’d get amazing results: your breath will be fresh at all times, your kidneys and liver will work more efficiently, your blood pressure will become lower, just to name a few. There's a miraculous mineral to be found in avocados: potassium. It helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. Avocados are also a great source of vitamins C and E. Vitamin C is known for its involvement in the creation of collagen and elastin, which help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Vitamin E takes it to a whole new level, reducing the damage of excessive sun exposure and counteracting aging. TIMESTAMPS How to get fresh breath. 0:37 How to make your kidneys work more efficiently. 1:26 How to decrease your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. 2:20 How to make your liver function more efficiently. 3:16 How to lower your blood pressure. 4:13 How to improve your vision. 5:07 How to get extra protection from cancer. 6:03 How to lose weight easily. 6:52 How to make your skin glow. 7:49 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Avocado has antibacterial and antioxidant flavonoids, which kill bacteria in your mouth and make your breath fresh. -Potassium helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. A good fluid balance allows your kidneys to function better. -Eating avocados regularly lowers the “bad” LDL cholesterol and blood triglycerides by up to 22% and increases the “good” HDL cholesterol by up to 11%. -This fruit is actually one of the best products for a liver-friendly diet, and that's all thanks to its ability to help your body produce glutathione! The liver desperately craves this antioxidant to filter out harmful substances and protect its cells from damage. -Potassium in avocados helps regulate the fluid balance benefits your blood pressure too. In this case, potassium prevents osteoporosis and, most importantly, lowers your blood pressure. -Avocados are high in antioxidants, especially carotenoids called lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect our eyes against harmful blue light. -The ability of avocados to give that extra bit of protection from cancer comes from the carotenoids and monounsaturated fat they contain, both of which make their own contribution to the impressive reduction of cancer. -Avocados are rich in fiber, which is essential for making those unwanted pounds disappear. Fiber is incredibly filling and digests slowly. -Thanks to vitamins C and E avocados help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Avocados are also rich in omega-9 fatty acids, and they’re crucial for maintaining moisture in the epidermis and regenerating epidermal cells. Scientists Reveal the Exercises That'll Make You Live Longer

08:05
Our body and all its complexity is a treasure that we must take special care of our whole lives. You only get one chance after all! The better you take care of your health, the happier, more comfortable, and longer a life you can lead. Bright Side is inviting you to test your body’s age, and we’ll suggest a few exercises to improve the condition of your health and reverse the hands of time (or an unhealthy lifestyle). TIMESTAMPS Test your body’s age 0:52 Let's see your results 1:49 Improve your flexibility 3:11 The downward dog pose 4:11 The child's pose 4:42 The butterfly pose 5:17 A tush push 5:53 BONUS 6:27 SUMMARY - The first thing we have to do is test your body’s age. We mean the physical capabilities that your body possesses. So if you’re actually 21 years old, but this test reveals to you that your body is more like 38, there are no paradoxes or holes in the universe here; it just means you have some things to work on healthwise. - You can improve your flexibility at any age, so don't get “bent” out of shape (heh heh, get it?). If you work hard enough, you can change your current situation. The easiest thing you can do is bend over and try to touch the floor 30 times a day. Trust us! - By bending at least 30 times a day, you’ll strengthen your ligaments and tendons and improve your flexibility as a result. Yoga stretches are also good for improving flexibility. - You could practice mastering the downward dog pose. (Arf – no not that dog!) The initial position for this stretch is an upside down V-shape with your hands and feet on the ground. After you’ve gotten into position, try to extend your tailbone up and back. - Another great yoga pose that can give you a good stretch is the child's pose. If you're not familiar with it, here's how to do it: start in a kneeling position, and then move your bottom towards your heels and rest your torso on your thighs. - You can also try the butterfly pose to improve your flexibility. It's really simple: just sit down, bend your knees, and bring the soles of your feet together, almost like you’re going to sit criss-cross applesauce but without all the crissing and crossing. Hold onto your ankles, and use your elbows to gently push your knees toward the floor. - A tush push is also a wonderful alternative to getting your flexibility back to the way it was in your younger years. To do it, you have to stand up while keeping your feet as wide apart as possible, so hold onto the back of a chair if need be. - Not that many people know about this, but you can actually exercise your muscles not only from the outside but from the inside as well! And this static gymnastics exercise is going to be a huge help for you in that. Static gymnastics helps eliminate inner muscular spasms, and by doing just one simple exercise, you release tension and enrich your body with oxygen. Do you know any other ways to improve flexibility and lower your body’s age? Let us know in the comments section below. 10 Foods You Should Never Eat

10:45
We know some products are really dangerous for our health, and other products are good for us as they are healthy. It turns out it’s not so simple and some of the most promoted and popular foods can, in fact, harm you. Never eat these 10 dangerous foods for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. Even if you see the juice labels “not from concentrate” or “100% pure”, don't let this fool you. Juice, after being squeezed from different fruits, is kept in huge vacuum-sealed tanks where it can sit for up to a year before being packaged! And by that time, the juice has lost all its flavor, which is why manufacturers have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste fruity again. In most cases, cereals are loaded with refined carbohydrates and sugar. Even if the label assures you that it's fat-free and whole grain, check the list of ingredients. You'll most likely see that the product is full of sugar. Despite common belief, most yogurts don't contain probiotic bacteria since the process of pasteurization kills all these microorganisms. When consumed, trans-fats in ice-cream can cause high cholesterol, stroke, heart disease, and even cancer. Ice cream is also loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives. And if it’s pink, purple, or red, it’s most likely been colored with cochineal extract or carmine, additives which can cause bad allergic reactions. Popcorn has some genetically modified ingredients as well as taste-boosting chemicals and additives. This leads to health problems such as heart attacks, digestive issues, allergies, skin rashes, breathing problems, and the depressing list goes on. Even more, popcorn is extremely caloric. Music: Vibe Mountain - Great Hope The 126ers - Reversed Eclipse Rondo Brothers - Yellow Gold Kevin MacLeod - Jay Jay Silent Partner - Pink Lemonade https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Fruit juices 0:37 Energy bars 1:42 Cereal 2:31 Margarine 3:21 Low-fat yogurt 4:11 Ice cream 5:01 Eggs 6:07 Microwave popcorn 7:09 Sugar-free candy 8:32 Diet soda 9:26 SUMMARY -Store-bought juices may contain some real fruit, but most of their content is water, sugar, and artificial flavoring. -Protein bars and energy bars alike are usually processed products containing sugar, artificial flavors and sweeteners. -Breakfast cereals typically contain a teeny tiny amount of whole grains, which allows producers to mark their product as healthy, but they also contain unhealthy sugar. -Margarine is typically made from industrial vegetable oils hydrogenated to become solid, a process that significantly increases the oils’ trans-fat content. -Manufacturers load “low-fat” yogurts with sugar to make up for the lack of taste usually provided by the natural fats. -Instead of pure milk or cream, manufacturers use cheaper hydrogenated fats such as palm- or coconut oil to produce ice-cream. These oils, when heated, become nothing more than trans-fats. -One egg contains as much cholesterol as a big greasy burger. -Microwave popcorn’s almost always lined with the same toxic substance you can find in Teflon pans. -If candy doesn’t contain sugar, it contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharine. These substances are chemically processed and may cause some serious side effects. -Artificial sweeteners in diet soda can easily lead to weight gain as they trigger the production of insulin, which makes your body store fat. 12 Things Your Stool Says About Your Health

11:09
How to understand if you're really healthy? Here's the easiest way to do it: check your stool colors and what learn they mean. As gross as it may sound, the color and shape of your stool can reveal a lot about your health. Any changes you might notice can be a sign of a serious disease. TIMESTAMPS Stool color 0:29 White 1:08 Green 2:00 Yellow 2:39 Black 3:38 Red 4:17 Stool shape 5:29 SUMMARY - If you see separate solid lumps reminiscent of nuts or goat feces in your toilet bowl, it is likely a sign of severe constipation. This type of stool means your body lacks fiber. - Sausage-shaped, large, and lumpy stool speaks of constipation. This type of stool is also caused by a lack of fiber. - If the cracked sausage-shaped stool is what you usually have, there are no reasons to worry. That’s a normal stool. You’re doing just fine! - If you stand with those whose feces are soft, sausage-shaped, and smooth – congratulations! Your stool is as perfect as stool can be! - Soft lumps with clear edges are a sign of light diarrhea. It could also mean that you are experiencing irritable bowel syndrome. - If your stool comes in fluffy pieces with ragged edges, it looks like you are having mild diarrhea. Remember how we told you to have more fiber? Well, in this case, it is just the opposite. Maybe there’s too much fiber in your diet.  - Liquid without solid pieces type of feces is what no one likes to see. It speaks of severe diarrhea. Do you take problems with your stools seriously? Health is the level of functional and metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental or social changes.[1] The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in its 1948 constitution as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."[2][3] This definition has been subject to controversy, in particular as lacking operational value, the ambiguity in developing cohesive health strategies, and because of the problem created by use of the word "complete".[4][5][6] Other definitions have been proposed, among which a recent definition that correlates health and personal satisfaction.[7][8] Classification systems such as the WHO Family of International Classifications, including the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), are commonly used to define and measure the components of health.

What Will Happen If You Start Eating 2 Dates Every Day for a Week

08:10
Do you like dates? Let's be honest; they don't usually pop up in our brain whenever we think about healthy foods. And that's a real bummer since this fruit has tons of undeniable advantages for our health. So what would happen if you ate them daily? If you wanna add dates to your diet, you have to follow a couple of simple rules. First and foremost, dates are kinda high in sugar and calories, so you should always eat them in moderation. 2 dates a day is more than enough to get all the health benefits your body needs. Plus, there are tons of ways you can incorporate this fruit into your meals, from using it as an appetizer to consuming it as an in-between-meals snack. If you want to increase dates' abilities, make sure you add more fruits like apples, bananas, and pears to your menu. Dates can't do all the work for you, so as long as you stay away from stress triggers, try to stick to a healthier diet, and move more, they'll double all the results of your hard work. TIMESTAMPS: You'll have more energy 0:41 Your cholesterol level will decrease 1:28 Your digestive system will work more effectively 2:01 Your blood pressure will be balanced 2:37 Your vision will improve 3:09 Your bones will be stronger 3:44 You'll have a stronger immune system 4:18 Your brain will work better 5:11 Your metabolism will increase 5:43 Your skin will look amazing 6:24 #healthydiet #skinglow #dates Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you wanna keep your energy up throughout the day and be just as productive in the evening as you are in the afternoon, simply incorporate dates into your meals! This fruit is very high in natural sugars such as glucose, fructose, and sucrose, and they can give you a necessary energy boost. - Even though dates are quite sweet, they're very low in fat and completely free from cholesterol. They're basically the best diet food you can find! - Dates contain soluble fiber, which is exceptionally good at regulating digestion and helping with constipation. Specialists advise soaking a few dates in water for a night and then having them in the morning for breakfast. - High blood pressure is often the consequence of the excessive sodium or salt that we consume with our meals. But dates are not like other foods, you know! They contain barely any sodium. - This fruit contains an impressive amount of vitamin A, which gives your eyes an appropriate dose of nutrients and consequently strengthens your vision. So whether it's one of your biggest problems or it's tolerable and not that big of a deal, dates will certainly make your current eye situation much better. - This fruit is loaded with crucial elements like phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which are well known for their abilities to prevent bone-related conditions (including osteoporosis). - Apart from all the beneficial vitamins and nutrients dates contain, they're also rich in the antioxidants that protect your cells from free radicals and, therefore, prevent tons of diseases and harmful reactions happening in your body. - Dates contain a dose of powerful antioxidants that can significantly improve brain function. - Dates contain the full complex of B vitamins, along with vitamin K, riboflavin, niacin, and many other useful nutrients and minerals. - Dates prevent the accumulation of melanin in your body, reducing aging signs and helping with oily skin. And just like that, the regular consumption of dates can make your skin look fresh, clear, and gorgeous! 8 Best Sources of Fat for Weight Loss

12:34
These are 8 high-fat foods that help you lose weight & burn fat. Not only are these 8 sources of fat good for weight loss, but many of these awesome fats are great for a ketogenic diet. If you're trying to find out which fats are good and bad check out this video. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: http://bit.ly/lose-fat315 Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/gt-calculator15 Research: (1) https://bmcchem.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1752-153X-5-5 Cocoa powder and dark chocolate had equivalent or significantly greater ORAC [antioxidant capacity], TP [total polyphenol content], and TF [total flavanol conten]values compared to the other fruit powders and juices tested, respectively. Cacao seeds thus provide nutritive value beyond that derived from their macronutrient composition and appear to meet the popular media's definition of a "Super Fruit". (2) https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/207783 Data in this relatively small sample of otherwise healthy individuals with above-optimal BP indicate that inclusion of small amounts of polyphenol-rich dark chocolate as part of a usual diet efficiently reduced BP and improved formation of vasodilative nitric oxide. (3) https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.1161/HYPERTENSIONAHA.112.193060 Our data seem to support the hypothesis that the regular consumption of cocoa flavanols may be able to improve cognitive performance in MCI adults in a relatively short period of time. Although additional confirmatory studies are warranted, the findings reported herein suggest that the regular dietary inclusion of flavanols could be one element of a dietary approach to the maintaining and improving not only cardiovascular health but also specifically brain health. (4) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1308699 Avocado is an excellent source of monounsaturated fatty acid in diets designed to avoid hyperlipidemia without the undesirable effects of low-saturated fat diets on HDL-cholesterol and triacylglycerol concentrations. (5) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11160540 Consumption of a solid fat rich in lauric acid gives a more favorable serum lipoprotein pattern than consumption of partially hydrogenated soybean oil rich in trans-fatty acids. Thus, solid fats rich in lauric acids, such as tropical fats, appear to be preferable to trans-fats in food manufacturing, where hard fats are indispensable. (6) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3387544/ Endogenous FA desaturation is associated with HR and thereby, in the case of SCD, possibly with arrhythmia and sudden death, which would at least partially explain the previously observed association between cardiovascular mortality and desaturase activity. (7) https://www.nature.com/articles/s41430-018-0190-2 Baseline fish consumption of less than 1 portion/week, regardless of the type of fish, was unrelated to incidences of stroke, CHD, and CVD mortality in this Dutch cohort. Consumption of less than or equal to 1 portion/week of fatty or of lean fish reduced the incidence of ischaemic stroke. (8) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18602429 In conclusion, LC n-3 FA intake modulates postprandial satiety in overweight and obese volunteers during weight loss. (9) https://www.researchgate.net/publication/12084771_Whole_almonds_and_almond_fractions_reduce_aberrant_crypt_foci_in_a_rat_model_of_colon_carcinogenesis Almond consumption may reduce colon cancer risk (10) https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/269206.php Eating nuts less than once a week was linked to a 7% reduction in risk of death and seven or more times a week, to a 20% reduction. (11) https://www.bmj.com/content/346/bmj.e8539 Higher consumption of eggs is not associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease or stroke. (11.5) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23021013 there were increases in HDL-cholesterol, large LDL and large HDL particles for all individuals. However, there were greater increases in HDL-cholesterol and large HDL particles, and reductions in total VLDL and medium VLDL particles for those consuming EGG compared to SUB. (12) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16373948 Compared to an isocaloric, equal weight bagel-based breakfast, the egg-breakfast induced greater satiety and significantly reduced short-term food intake. (13) https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/03/150302141241.htm “The Mediterranean diet is known to be associated with a reduced risk of many different kinds of cancer. Whereas the entire diet likely has many benefits, this study points directly to the olive oil phenolic, oleocanthal, as playing an especially important role in these observations. As more people turn to the Mediterranean diet as a healthy life option, oleocanthal is growing in its significance as a key active component of this diet." TIMESTAMPS: Diet 0:50 No snacking 1:39 Fast food 2:02 Eating on time 2:58 Exercise for kids 3:44 Portion sizes 4:27 A great public transportation system 5:20 Tea time 6:15 Dinnerware 7:25 Food as an experience 8:09 #japan #japanesediet #japanesefood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. - Just like the rest of the world, a lot of Japanese people have a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave a lot of time or opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal. In that case, they can turn to their version of fast food, which is usually a lot healthier and resembles home-style cooking. - Most Japanese people have very regulated meal times. They eat 3 filling meals a day, with breakfast usually happening between 8 and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1pm, and dinner between 6 and 8pm. - It’s a lot more common for Japanese children to walk or cycle to school. Of course, other countries have a lot of reasons why it might not be efficient or safe for kids to hoof it to class. - Portion sizes have been on a steep rise in the last 20 years throughout the world. For example, countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. have much larger fast food portions than Japan. - Separate bicycle lanes and plenty of safe areas for pedestrians are common sites in Japan. This allows the Japanese to naturally burn calories as they commute to and from work or school every day. - Tea, especially the green variety, is the number one beverage in Japan. Green tea has been praised for having a ton of major health benefits, like increasing metabolism, burning fat, fighting anxiety, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to name a few. - The practice of using chopsticks also helps in weight management, since they make you eat more slowly and in smaller bites. This slow process of eating helps people catch when they’re feeling full and avoid eating too much. The fact that food is served on a bunch of plates also slows down the process. - The number one way that the Japanese stay thin has to do with removing distractions and being mindful about the process of food consumption. Eating in Japan is treated with respect. In many cases, the unique properties of food products help your body work better. Have you ever tried whitening your teeth with strawberries? Yeah me neither. And what if I told you grape juice can heal your migraine? You can also enjoy an extra cup of hot coffee for a healthy gallbladder. As crazy as it all sounds, those are just a few examples of effortless natural life hacks to treat your body right and give yourself the love you deserve. So let’s get started. It’s mostly an imbalance in brain chemicals like serotonin, and that’s why grape juice can come in and save the day. It doesn’t act as a painkiller, but as prevention. - Make salmon your new best friend! It’s rich in vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential to keep your hair and scalp hydrated. Omega-3 also helps to keep hair follicles clean and healthy. - Lemon and salt water can also speed up your metabolism by increasing the mitochondrial function. It helps to generate more energy in the body without needing any calories to do so and make you burn calories faster. - If your nails are looking a little yellow and you want to naturally whiten them, toothpaste is the answer. Your toothpaste whitens and protects your teeth, and it’s capable of doing the same for your nails, since they’re both keratin based. - Right after you’ve opened your eyes in the morning and had your lemon and salt water, it’s important to have your breakfast within half an hour. Even when you don’t feel hungry, missing your breakfast is a huge mistake, especially when you’re trying to lose or maintain weight. - Collagen, or even hydrolyzed collagen, can’t penetrate the skin to the point where it would bind with other proteins and improve your overall appearance. So the best way to combat aging is to take supplements. - Something as simple-looking as activated charcoal can whiten your teeth, treat acne and pull the unwanted excess oils from your skin. It’s really simple: toxins just stick to the activated charcoal! - In case you’re looking for an almost free remedy for ingrown hairs, here’s one! Salt increases blood circulation, reduces swelling and heals skin irritation, so it can help if you’ve had a bad razor experience. - Apples act as natural stain removers because they help produce more saliva in your mouth and serve as a “self-cleaning” agent. Oranges or any kind of tart fruit help to neutralize the acidity of your mouth that causes tooth decay. - Even though coffee might be associated with an unhealthy diet, it’s actually good for you in its purest form. It’s basically bean juice made with hot water, and has a lot of health benefits! One of coffee’s most important benefits is that it promotes a healthy gallbladder. - You heard it right – there’s a connection between the cleanliness of your phone screen and the condition of your facial skin. If you don’t clean your phone with antibacterial wipes regularly, it carries so much bacteria you wouldn’t even imagine. How Your Sleeping Position Affects Your Health

09:20
What's the best sleep position for your health? On average, we spend 25 years of our life sleeping. Sleeping well has many benefits — it not only revitalizes the body but also makes the brain work optimally. We all realize that time is very precious, so it is of the utmost importance that the time spent sleeping is effective. It turns out, it's not just the duration of your sleep that matters but it's also the position you're in. Doctors claim that it’s your favorite sleep position that can cause problems with your health. Here we bring you an in-depth analysis of various sleeping positions to help you choose the right one for yourself. TIMESTAMPS: Soldier position 1:06 Starfish position 2:14 Log position 3:16 Yearner position 4:22 Fetal position 5:40 Freefall position 6:33 Upright position 7:14 #sleepingposition #yourhealth #sleep Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Sleeping on your back with your hands at your sides is considered to be the best sleeping posture. This posture is similar to the Savasana pose in yoga. It’s the perfect position to rest the spine, neck, and arms. - Starfish position is a variation of the back-sleeper position. In this position, a person lies on their back with their arms up on both sides of their head and their feet spread apart. It reduces the chance of getting headaches. - While sleeping in the log position, you lie on your side with both arms positioned downward in a straight line. It is advisable to sleep on your left side because it’s better for your vital organs. It’s the ideal sleeping position for the spine as it receives complete support in its natural curve. - Sleeping on your side with your legs slightly bent, arms outstretched, and head slightly off-center is known as the yearner posture. It is advisable to lie on your left side because, as we said before, it’s better for your vital organs. - The fetal position involves lying on your side with your knees drawn toward your chest and your chin tilted down. It is the most popular sleeping position among women — over 41% of respondents claim to prefer this posture. - Lying flat on your stomach while sleeping is not the best sleeping position, and most experts advise against it. It puts a strain on the spine and causes pain in the neck and lower spine. - Upright position. Buddhist monks do it and swear by it! They even use a little box to help them accomplish this upright sleeping position. In our modern world, sleeping in a sitting position with the head raised can be accomplished with the help of a recliner or large wedge pillow. This Homeless Man Sat on a Corner for 3 Years Before a Woman Pulled up to Investigate

04:38
Ginger Sprouse lives in Nassau Bay, Texas. There, she runs a business which offers cooking classes. Every day, on her way to work, she would see a homeless man sitting on a bench. When she saw him in the same place, day after day, she felt sad her him. She couldn't imagine what it would be like not having a place to go home to at the end of the day. She also couldn't imagine what it would be like to have no place to lay her head at night. This homeless man sat on the same corner for 3 years. Then a woman pulled up to investigate. One day, Ginger was on her way to work, and she decided to sit down with the man to find out how he ended up on the streets. The told her that his name was Victor Hubbard, and he was 32-years-old. He told Ginger that he suffered from a mild mental illness. This wasn't the most heartbreaking part of his story. What broke Ginger's heart was the reason that Victor was never able to leave the area. Victor says that his mother left him on the corner bench that he sat on all day many years earlier. She told him to wait on the bench, and she would come back. It was obvious that she never planned to return to get her son, but Victor waited there anyway. He couldn't leave knowing that there was a slight chance that his mother could come back. Ginger was intrigued by Victor. She couldn't believe that he stayed on that bench year after year, waiting for his mother's return. She wanted to learn more about this man that most people chose to ignore. She ended up spending her coffee breaks during the day on the bench with Victor. She wanted to learn more about victor and his past. Victor told Ginger that he had been homeless for the better part of 10 years. He sat each day, waiting patiently for his mother's return. Social services tried to help located his mother, but they were unable to track her down. This just left Victor feeling more empty and hopeless. When Ginger sat with Victor listening to his story, he never asked her for a thing. He didn't ask her anything, and more importantly, he didn't ask her for anything. He simply enjoyed talking to her. He told her that it wasn't often that people stopped to talk to him. Ginger wasn't okay with the fact that Victor sat on the bench all alone every day. She said that if nobody was going to take responsibility for the man, and if nobody was going to help him with his mental health problems, she would. Winter was coming, and it was getting cold outside. Ginger decided to invited victor into her home so that he wouldn't freeze outside on the streets. Victor started sleeping at the home that Ginger shared with her husband most nights. At first, he didn't want to, but he realized that he might not have had another winter left in him. He knew that it was freezing outside, so he stayed over often. Ginger understood that putting a roof over Victor's head wouldn't solve all of his problems. She knew that she needed to do more. Ginger knew that people had done small things for Victor in the past. At Christmastime, many people would stop and give him a blanket or a jacket. Many would stop and give him a sandwich or a drink. While these things were great, Ginger knew that these were just temporary solutions to his problems. He needed help that would be more permanent. Ginger decided to set up a Go Fund Me page for Victor. She figured that if she could raise enough money, she could get Victor a place of his own. He would also be able to afford food and clothing. Maybe, he could get the help he needed for his mental illness so that he could find a job and support himself. The page raised close to $35,000. The Go Fund Me account brought a lot of attention to Victor. Many people gave Victor and Ginger the names of specialists who could help him with his mental illness. Another person who heard about the Go Fund Me account was Victor's mother. Unfortunately, she wasn't happy with the coverage that victor's story was getting. Ginger knew that she wasn't the best person for Victor to have in his life, so she was happy that he didn't reconnect with his mother. Ginger has asked Victor to move in with her full time. She knows that getting him better would be a lifetime commitment. She even gave him a job at her cooking school, and he is doing great. He loves having a purpose and a place to go each day. Victor calls Ginger his savior, and she calls Victor her friend. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Facts Verse: http://bit.ly/FactsVerse ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/factsverse/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/factsverse/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/factsverse6030/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.factsverse.com

TIMESTAMPS Coffee boosts brainpower 0:40 Coffee increases blood pressure 1:46 Coffee makes your immune system stronger 2:24 Coffee relieves a headache 3:16 Coffee reduces stress 3:51 Coffee improves your memory 4:40 Coffee helps you lose weight 5:30 An amazing coffee cocktail recipe 6:06 SUMMARY - Coffee with sugar can turn you into a little genius for a while because the combination of caffeine and glucose activates certain sectors of your brain. The caffeine in coffee acts as a mild stimulant to the central nervous system. This neuronal activity triggers the release of the adrenaline, that will affect your body in several ways: your heartbeat increases, blood pressure rises, breathing tubes open up, sugar is released into the bloodstream for extra energy. - You might want to keep off the coffee if you are going to have a blood pressure test within the next 2 days. If you have high blood pressure, ask your doctor whether you should limit or stop drinking caffeinated beverages. - Coffee is known for its energy-boosting caffeine effect -- is an abundant source of nutrients and healthful chemicals that can aid your immune system. According to scientists from several countries, coffee reduces the risk of premature death. This is because coffee alters your immune system, making it stronger and healthier. - The caffeine can cure headaches and migraines. People are aware that caffeine is found in coffee, tea, soft drinks and chocolate, but may not know that caffeine is also contained in a variety of over the counter medications. That’s why it’s an ingredient in a lot of traditional pain relievers. - Coffee acts well as an anti-stress substance due to the release of dopamine and serotonin, which "trigger" a good mood. One cup, or even just the smell of coffee, can calm your nerves. This could explain a lower risk of depression among coffee drinkers. - Coffee can positively affect mood, enhance alertness, and memory abilities. The stimulators and neuro-mediators obtained from coffee not only boost your mood and productivity but also improve your memory. Of course, this only works with your short-term memory. - Coffee can keep off and help you lose excess weight. It can temporarily suppress your appetite and may stimulate minimal calorie burning. When the level of the hormone leptin is low, your body starts storing fat, and you gain weight. Coffee, however, increases the hormone levels in your body. BONUS If you're looking for something sweet to pair your milk, this cocktail recipe is a must. It is deliciously smooth and refreshing and, if bottled, ready to take on the go. • Make your favorite coffee. • Let it cool off, then fill an ice cube tray with the coffee. • Place it in the freezer. On a hot day, add the coffee cubes to a glass of milk. Sip a delicious mix and feel wonderful! Share the video with your friends to keep them caffeinated and hit the like button below the video! I Drank Only Water for 20 Days, See What Happened to My Body

07:45
What is water fasting? What are its benefits? Intermittent fasting is gaining huge popularity as a dietary option, but what actually happens to your body when you fast? When I first heard about water fasting, I thought, “No way am I doing this!” But after doing some research and finding out about the benefits of this process, I changed my mind. And now I'm going to tell you what I experienced during my 20-day water fast. The first 2 days were going to be the most difficult. And they were indeed! I felt incredibly hungry — almost as if I had missed several breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. My energy level dropped, and my mood left much to be desired. I was increasingly irritated, and my patience was wearing thin. TIMESTAMPS: The benefits of water fasting 0:43 Days 1–2 2:23 Days 3–7 3:19 Days 8–14 4:37 Days 15–20 5:31 #waterfasting #waterchallenge Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - When your body can't get access to carbohydrates (its favorite source of energy), it starts to use stored fats. As a result, you can lose about 1 lb of fat every day. This makes water fasting one of the most effective short-term weight loss methods. - Water fasting can also help if you have digestive problems like irritable bowel, diarrhea, gas, gastritis, constipation, or loss of appetite. - The first 2 days were going to be the most difficult. I felt incredibly hungry — almost as if I had missed several breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. - On the third day, the second stage of my water fasting began. By that time, the much-awaited process of ketosis had started. That's when your body gets down to burning the fat it has stored as it has no other sources of energy. - After the first week of feeding myself nothing but water, I experienced a kind of “fasting high.” I felt great, happy, and impressively energetic. But what pleased me the most was a particular clarity of mind. - When I got to the fifteenth day of my water fasting, I was incredibly proud of myself! I knew that very few people reach this stage. I also knew that this was a period when I had to be immensely attentive to my condition and visit a doctor if I felt that something had gone wrong. - Believe it or not, I felt at my best after my water fast. I lost some weight (though not as much as I’d expected). My vitals were impressive in a good way, and some health abnormalities were no longer a cause for concern. Start Eating Turmeric Every Day, The Result Will Surprise You

12:09
How do you feel about turmeric? Not a big fan? Well, listen up because you’ll probably change your mind after hearing about these incredible health benefits of this brightly colored spice! So, what changes can you expect in your body after a month of including turmeric in your diet? A 2013 study by researchers in the Department of Oral Pathology at India’s Punjab University proved that this spice can help whiten your teeth. Known as Curcuma longa in the scientific community, Turmeric has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties. If you’re struggling with, say, skin issues, hair loss, or even extra weight, then turmeric also can be of help! TIMESTAMPS: Your teeth will get whiter 0:59 You’ll get rid of acne 2:03 Your hair will grow much faster and thicker 3:19 It’ll strengthen your immunity 4:13 It’ll cure a sore throat 5:21 You’ll say goodbye to your cold 6:00 It’ll heal broken skin and wounds 6:33 You’ll feel less joint pain 7:24 It’ll improve your mood and stimulate brain function 8:16 It’ll help prevent cancer 9:14 Your skin will look younger 10:04 You’ll lose weight 10:59 #turmeric #turmericbenefits #curcumin Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - In Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric has been used for ages to treat skin conditions, but it does have backing by modern science. - A study by the Korean BioSpectrum Life Science Institute has shown that the curcumin in turmeric can prevent hair loss by strengthening the hair follicles. - According to researchers at Ohio State University, taking turmeric with your food or in the form of supplements isn’t the best for strengthening immunity since it mostly stays in the gastrointestinal tract and metabolizes quickly. - Indian scientists in the Department of Oral Pathology at Punjab University concluded that, thanks to its antimicrobial properties, turmeric extract can stop the growth of bacteria and parasites and reduce inflammation in the throat. - Turmeric’s amazing antibiotic effects and anti-inflammatory properties also make it an excellent cure for the common cold. - In 2007, researchers at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland studied turmeric’s properties as a cure for skin conditions like scleroderma, psoriasis, and even skin cancer. - In 2016, Dr. Kok-Yong Chin headed a study in the Department of Pharmacology at Malaysia’s Kebangsaan University Medical Centre to find out the effect curcumin has on joint inflammation. Arthritic patients involved in the research took extracts of curcuminoids and enhanced curcumin. - Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles asked 40 adults aged 51-84 to take curcumin twice a day. The scientists monitored their cognition with the help of memory tests and noticed a visible improvement by the end of the trial. - While there’s no 100% effective universal cure against this deadly disease just yet, it looks like you can prevent pancreatic cancer with the help of turmeric. - In 2014, scientists in the Department of Zoology at the University of Delhi tested the anti-aging properties of turmeric. They concluded that genes regulating metabolism, DNA repair, and antioxidant systems actually control human lifespan. - Curcumin alters the composition of fat cells, turning undesirable white fat cells into the healthy brown kind. 7 Quick Tests to Check If You're Healthy Or Not

09:16
Today, you have the chance to take a few simple but brilliant tests to evaluate your health. All of them take less than a minute, and they can help you check the condition your body is in. They are quick, easy, and fun! Keep in mind that these tests are not in any way the basis for making a diagnosis as they can be indications of various other illnesses. However, if you did notice any of the above symptoms, you shouldn’t ignore them. See a doctor for a detailed examination straight away. TIMESTAMPS Test #1. Eyes 0:51 Test #2. Flexibility 1:50 Test #3. The heart 3:15 Test #4. Fingers 4:36 Test #5. The respiratory system 5:39 Test #6. Fluid retention 6:37 Test #7. The thyroid 7:29 SUMMARY - Close one eye, and take three to five steps back from your monitor. Now, take a look at the circle. Did any lines appear darker than others? If the answer is yes, then you should visit an optician because it’s likely you’ve developed astigmatism. - Sit on the floor, stretch out your legs in front of you, try to touch your feet with the tips of your fingers. If you can do this with ease, then your body is in great shape.  If it were difficult, then it would be a good idea to take up yoga, Pilates, or swimming in order to improve your body’s flexibility and prevent excessive weakening of your joints. - For adults and children over ten, 60-100 beats a minute is considered normal. More or less may indicate problems with blood pressure. - Pour some cold water into a glass, and dip your fingers in it for 30 seconds. If the tips of your fingers turn white or blue, then you have a problem with your blood circulation. A significant drop in temperature (or stress) can cause contractions of the blood vessels that supply blood to the fingers, toes, nose, and ears. - Light a match and stretch the hand holding it out in front of you. Breathe in deeply through your nose and then out through your mouth, trying as you do so to blow out the flame. How many attempts does it take you to blow out the flame?  - Press down on either the upper or underside of your foot with your thumb. If there is still an indentation on your foot several seconds after you’ve removed your thumb, then the chances are your body has an issue with fluid retention.  - Close your eyes and stretch your arms out in front of you. Spread your fingers out to the sides. Ask someone to place a thin sheet of paper in your hands If the piece of paper begins to tremble along with your fingers, it’s worth going to see an endocrinologist.
