How to create a dynamic remarketing campaign
Google AdWords is now Google Ads. Click here to learn more about our new advertising brand: blog.google/technology/ads/new-advertising-brands/ Learn how to create a dynamic remarketing campaign in your AdWords account, with an airline as an example. You'll also see how to get started on the feed, tag, and remarketing lists needed for dynamic remarketing. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3210317 #AdWordstips Dynamic remarketing shows your previous website visitors ads tailored to them based on products or services they viewed on your website. In this video, we'll show you how an airline might create a campaign and get started on the feed, tag, and remarketing lists needed for dynamic remarketing From your signed in AdWords account, create a "Display Network only" campaign. Select "Remarketing." Then enter a campaign name, bid strategy, and budget. Select "Use dynamic ads" Choose a business type. This is a key step. Your business type determines the type of feed, custom parameters, and ad layouts you'll use from here-on-out. If your business type isn’t listed, select "Other - custom option." Keep in mind that retail businesses must use a Google Merchant Center account to upload their data feeds. Next, click "Set up remarketing" to be guided through a 3-step flow. Step 1. Start thinking about creating a feed of all your products or services. Here's an example of a couple of rows from a flights feed. Note that the destination ID and origin ID values in your feed will need to match the values passed through the "flight_destid" and "flight_originid" custom parameters in your dynamic remarketing tag. Step 2. Add the remarketing tag to your website. Here's an example of custom parameters an airline would use. Values passed through these custom parameters should be dynamically populated with values from your webpages. Step 3. Review your default remarketing lists. Here's what an airline would see. These lists can help you target visitors who may be at different stages, whether that's researching a product or service or ready to buy or commit. After you've gone through each step, your newly created feed will be selected. Enter an ad group name and then click "Save and continue." You've just created a dynamic remarketing campaign! Next you'll choose dynamic ad layouts and finish setting up your feed and tag. Remember, ads in your campaign won't run until your tag and feed are set up. How should I organize my AdWords account?
Google AdWords is now Google Ads. Click here to learn more about our new advertising brand: blog.google/technology/ads/new-advertising-brands/ Keeping your AdWords account organized is one of the keys to success with AdWords. Learn how to save time and reach the right customers by organizing your campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords properly. #AdWordsTips Learn more: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1704396 This video contains captions. To enable them, click the captions icon at the bottom right-hand side of the video. _______________________________________________________ SCRIPT: Meet Maria. She’s the owner of Maria’s Boutique. And a firm believer that everything should be organized just so… Especially her AdWords account. In fact, she’ll tell you that keeping her account well-organized is one of the secrets to her AdWords success… Because it means her ads are more likely to be seen by the customers she wants to reach… ...and she spends less time managing her account day-to-day. To see how Maria got her account organized just so, let’s go back to the beginning. Step one was creating her Account, beginning with selecting the email and password she’ll use to sign in … And providing information like her contact information and billing details. Strictly speaking, an active AdWords Account must contain at least one Campaign. And in that Campaign, one Ad Group. But like most successful advertisers, Maria’s account is made up of several campaigns. And multiple Ad Groups. Campaigns are where you make big-picture choices like when and where ads can appear … and the campaign’s overall budget. Maria got started by creating one campaign for each section of her website. ...“Jackets” … “Shoes” … And so on. And as her business grew, she stuck with this winning formula -- keeping Campaigns broad -- as she moved into new markets, and promoted unique events in her store. Setting up her Campaigns this way also gave her a lot of flexibility. Like being able to adjust the budget on her “jackets” campaign when sales started to slow. And promote the store’s “Winter Sale” with a special campaign she set up to show video ads to readers of fashion blogs, rather than alongside search results. Maria’s organizational talent really came into play when she started adding Ad Groups to her Campaigns. Ad Groups are collections of related keywords, ads and bids, and work best when they’re focused on one particular theme. This makes it easy for Maria to select the right keywords to reach customers searching for the things in her store. And link her ads to highly relevant pages on her website-- a good habit for showing website visitors just what they’re looking for and converting more of those visitors into new customers. So whether you’re just getting started with AdWords, or a longtime user, think about the best ways to organize your account. ...and boost your AdWords success. For more information about how to organize your account, visit the AdWords Help Center.

How To Target Google AdWords Campaigns
You need traffic and you need it now. Google is one of the best ways to accomplish this. But setting up your Google AdWords account to get the most traffic at the best price can be difficult, even for experienced PPC managers. There are many different ways to target your Google AdWords account. Since Google released new Enhanced Campaigns, there are more variables than ever. You can choose to target your campaign by location, device, time of day and much more. There are three big errors that people often make when targeting their AdWord's campaign. This video goes on to identify them and offer advice about how to fix them. One of the major oversights people make when setting up their AdWords accounts is that they tend to use exact match terms. Consider using broadmatch to show up to a wider audience. Another common problem is that people try to optimize their ads for very particular key phrases. By using longer tail keyphrases, you'll be able to target more qualified customers and reduce your price by not bidding on the most expensive, popular terms. The final common problem that's discussed in this video is that fact that many people set up their campaigns to go to their home page, or worse, the wrong landing page all together. If you're setting up a campaign to sell shoes, the last thing you want is for the traffic to be directed to an ambiguous home page, or a page about dresses. To optimize conversions, it's important to make things fast, easy and accessible for searchers. A shoe ad should always lead to a shoe page. Also, if you are a plumbing company it's much more cost effective to do AdWords for some of your particular products and services instead of the entire plumbing industry in general. You'll reach more of the people you want by doing this and save a fortune on ad costs. We hope you like our video.
