Learn more about Silver, Gold, and other Precious Metals: https://SDBullion.com/book Founded in March 2012, this is a brief introduction of SD Bullion. It started with two doctors and one dream, educating the masses on the value of hard assets and preparation. Our sister website SilverDoctors.com, was founded in March of 2011, and quickly became a highly visited website to discuss the precious metal market and current world events. In the first year of existence, SilverDoctors.com progressed from 5,800 pageviews in the first month to over 750,000 monthly pageviews as of March of 2012. Our gold, silver, and finance news website even became a favorite among many respected silver analysts and investors including billionaire silver investor, Eric Sprott. In line with our founding principles, we remain determined to educate others on the value of protecting your savings, so much so, that we launched a physical bullion dealership called SD Bullion to help others both buy and sell guaranteed physical investment grade precious metal products. SD Bullion debuted in March of 2012, as a service to our Silver Doctors readers with the goal of providing the lowest cost bullion available. In the beginning, all sales were simply completed via telephone with the motto, “Nothing Fancy. Just a Telephone and Low Prices.” More importantly, buyers were 100% satisfied with their bullion transactions according to a post purchasing survey. A 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online bullion purchasing option was added in the later part of 2012 and SD Bullion has continued to gain industry market share year after year. Today we are a premier, low-cost bullion dealer serving clients all over the world. Visit us at SDBullion.com, for your trusted source to purchase some of the lowest cost, highest quality bullion products available. #SDBullion #Bullion #GoldSilver #PreciousMetals

How to Ship Silver & Gold Safely with USPS Registered Mail | SDBullion.com

04:15
Do you know what the safest way to ship silver and gold bullion products in the United States? Article: https://sdbullion.com/blog/does-usps-ship-silver United States Postal Service’s Registered Mail, known in short as simply USPS Registered Mail, is the safest way to ship physical precious metals like silver and gold bullion. USPS Registered mail is so secure, the U.S. government uses it to mail classified information. With USPS Registered Mail you can purchase as much as $50,000 in insurance per parcel. Overall, it is pretty cost effective. To ensure a parcel for $50,000, it cost less than $100 at current rates. These are recent rates for USPS registered mail. Private couriers like FedEx, DHL, or UPS do not offer insurance for physical precious metals. In fact all three explicitly state in their terms and agreements that you should use their services to ship physical precious metals. Unless a precious metal dealer gives you a full insured private shipping label to ship your bullion, you will want to stick with USPS Registered Mail. Here are some items you will need to ship bullion using USPS Registered Mail: You will need a Proof of Mailing and Postal Service Form 3806, both of which you can get at the post office. You will need a camera as you should always take images documenting the parcel's holdings before shipping them. You will need two different sized shipping boxes per parcel you are sending. Double boxing your bullion parcels helps ensure less of a chance the parcel will be tampered with or break open if it is accidentally dropped. You will need Reinforced Gummed Kraft Paper Tape to seal the exterior corners and creases for each parcel you will be shipping. You will need water and some time for drying after application. You will need 1″ wide filament tape to seal the interior creases of all the boxes you plan to use in shipment as well as securing shut any and all coin tube tops being shipped. You don't want any coins or bullion items to make noise in transit. Be sure to always insert either some folded paper packing tape, styrofoam, or old newspaper to fill the empty space between coin tubes and their lids. Secure any and all coin tube lids with reinforced 1" tape. Always wrap your bullion bars with lots of scrap paper or bubble wrap. NOTE: Please do not use packing peanuts, shredded paper, or any other packing material that will make a mess when opened. Before sealing your parcel, you will want to insert a printed Packing Slip inside your parcels to help identify: 1) where and to whom you are shipping it to 2) who you are 3) your return address 4) the explicit contents identifying every piece of bullion contained in that specific parcel 5) your contact information to help differentiate and identify your bullion upon delivery 6) Finally, shake the box to ensure you cannot hear anything. On the outside of the parcel use nondescript identifiers or abbreviations instead of obvious terms like coin, bullion, gold, silver, etc. For example, instead of writing SD Bullion on the label, use the term SD Bearing Supply. When moving any heavy bullion parcels from home to the USPS post office location, you might want to use a suitcase with wheels and perhaps canvas bags which will not tear in transit. BE SURE that YOU: Do not let the post office talk you out of using Registered Mail. It saves money to go unregistered, but the small savings they may be trying to offer you could cost you everything. USPS has a small clause in their insurance policy stating that they will not honor insurance for lost precious metals unless they are shipped by REGISTERED MAIL. (Search and find the term 'bullion' for proof of that statement - https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/609.htm) You can learn more about Gold and other precious metals at https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book

SD Bullion customers purchase millions of 1 oz Silver Bullion rounds each and every year. By industry definition, only private silver mints produce 1 troy ounce silver rounds containing a minimum .999 fine silver bullion composition. Silver bullion buyers often buy 1 oz silver rounds due to their generally lower price premiums versus typically higher priced government mint issued silver coins. Popular 1 oz silver bullion round mints include the 1 oz silver bullion round you are looking at right now from the Sunshine Mint. As well there are 1 oz silver bullion rounds made by ourselves here at SD Bullion, Silvertowne, and others. Some 1 oz silver bullion round mint brands also qualify for Silver IRAs, making them also available for tax deferred long term silver retirement savings. The Sunshine Mint has differentiated their bullion product for example, by infusing this 1 oz silver bullion round design with anti counterfeit technology. This Sunshine Mint 1 oz silver round contains a MintMark SI seal which allows end user verification of inlaid holograms using the Sunshine Mint decoder lens card. One ounce silver bullion rounds are packaged and shipped in a variety of ways. Depending on the size of your order, they can come in protective plastic slips, in protective mint tubes, all packaged tightly and discreetly for safe fully insured shipment to door. When silver bullion product price premiums are low, one can often buy low premium 1 oz silver bullion rounds very closely above the fluctuating silver spot price. Typically when selling 1 oz silver rounds to bullion dealers like ourselves, customers will yield bid prices at or just below the dynamic silver spot price. One troy ounce silver bullion rounds will remain a favorite amongst silver bullion buyers, for they allow purchasers to yield more silver bullion troy ounces versus competing higher priced silver coins and other competing silver bullion products. Test Silver Gold Bullion: Specific Gravity | SDBullion.com

02:33
Learn more about gold, silver, and other precious metals at: https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book How can you make sure your gold and silver bullion is real? The easiest and most cost effective way is by confirming it's specific gravity test. Here's what you will need: 1) Your bullion 2) A digital scale with a high weight capacity and minimum 2 decimal place gram accuracy (0.01 grams). One we found at a low price point is here - http://a.co/72TdKum 3) a plastic container full of distilled water 4) a string First, place your bullion on the scale. Write down how much it weighs. Take your cup of distilled water, set it on the scale, and reset the scale. Tie string around your bullion, then submerge it completely in the water without it touching the edges of the container. Divide the original weight by the submerged weight. That is the specific gravity. .999 fine Silver's specific gravity is 10.49. .999 fine Gold's is 19.32. If your measurements are off by a percent or two, your probably fine. But if they are off by ten or twenty percent, you've got a fake. Specific gravity for common precious metal bullion products: .999 Silver - 10.49 .999 Gold - 19.32 22k .916 American Gold Eagle Coins - 17.45 90% Junk silver (pre-1965 U.S. silver coinage) - 10.31 .999 Platinum - 21.45 .999 Palladium - 12.02 Learn more about gold, silver, and other precious metals at: https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book

SD Bullion customers combined, purchase pallet after pallet full of 100 oz Silver Bullion bars each and every year. Both private and some government mints produce large 100 troy ounce silver bullion bars containing a minimum .999 fine silver composition. Bullion buyers often buy larger 100 oz silver bars due to their often lowest price per troy ounce above the silver spot price. Generally when compared to smaller silver bullion bar sizes and government issued silver coins, the 100 oz silver bullion bar format is the cheapest per ounce bulk buying choice. Popular 100 oz silver bullion mints include: The Royal Canadian Mint as seen here, Sunshine Minting, Silvertowne, Geiger, Engelhard, Johnson Matthey, and others. Many 100 oz silver bullion bar brands also qualify for Silver IRAs, making them also available for tax deferred long term retirement silver savings. These large silver bullion bars are heavy, weighing just under 7 pounds a piece. They are perhaps the most efficient way for silver bullion bar savers to both store in bulk silver bullion while also saving as much space as possible. For instance, a large silver bullion buyer can store 100s of these 100 oz silver bullion bars in hidden, modestly sized, fireproof safes like this one we offer on our website: https://SDBullion.com/gold-silver-safes-and-vaults When silver bullion product price premiums are low, one can often buy the lowest premium 100 oz silver bullion bars very closely above above the fluctuating silver spot price. Typically when selling 100 oz silver bullion bars to bullion dealers like ourselves, customers will yield bid prices at or just below the dynamic silver spot price. These 100 oz silver bullion bars will remain a favorite of silver bullion buyers, given that they allow silver bullion purchasers to yield more physical silver troy ounces versus competing higher priced per ounce silver bullion coins, rounds, and smaller silver bars. SD Bullion customers, buy and sell multi-millions of American Silver Eagle Coins each and every year. The Silver American Eagle coin is considered by many industry experts as the best most highly recognized silver coin selection throughout the world’s physical bullion market. The US Mint began striking the American Silver Eagle Coin in 1986 and this Silver Eagle coin remains the official .999 fine silver bullion coin of the United States of America. Since their inception, over one half billion Silver American Eagle coins have been purchased by bullion coin buyers and silver investors worldwide. Unlike annual 1/2% percentage fee charging silver derivative like the popular ETF called SLV. American Silver Eagle coins have during durations of silver bullion market scarcity, yielded large price premiums over the then fluctuating silver spot price. For instance during the fall of 2008 into the early winter of 2009, a time when the silver spot price was hovering around $9 oz, many American Silver Eagle coins were selling around $16 a piece simultaneously. American Silver Eagle Coins are: -Guaranteed by the US government to contain 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver bullion content explicitly struck on each respective Silver Eagle Coin. -The U.S.A.’s Secret Service enforces the government’s American Silver Eagle coin program guarantee. -These coins are by law legal tender in the United States of America, struck with a low 1 US dollar face value, this ensures they will not compete directly with Federal Reserve note dollar bills in day to day commerce. -American Silver Eagle coins are typically bought and sold with silver price premiums BOTH above the world’s fluctuating silver spot price. The US Mint sells them brand new in bulk, strictly to authorized bullion dealers at a current minimum price of $2 US dollars over the dynamic silver spot price. -Virtually all established bullion dealers throughout the world, will buy them second hand from private Silver Eagle coin holders offering a US dollar or more price premium over the fluctuating silver spot price. -Depending on the your order’s size these Silver Eagle Coins may ship in protective flips, US Mint Tubes able to hold 20 coins a piece, or within thick green colored US Mint boxes containing 500 coins in each case. -Each full US Silver Eagle coin case weighs about 40 pounds. In US domestic bullion industry parlance and practice, American Silver Eagle monster box orders are commonplace. With high volume bullion dealers like ourselves, it is a daily routine to ship multiple, fully insured 500 oz Silver Eagle coin parcels to customer doors or their fully insured non-bank bullion storage accounts. Not only are these Silver Eagle Coins very private when buying, currently they are also very private to sell within the USA. These modern American silver bullion coins are currently exempt from IRS 1099B silver dealer reporting requirements within the USA. Contact your tax advisor with any capital gains or losses associated. Silver Eagle coins are also eligible for Silver IRAs, making them a great choice for tax deferred long term silver bullion retirement savings. American Silver Eagle coins remain the most popular physical silver bullion product in the world in terms of overall sales volumes. Our own internal revenue data confirms that fact, they are indeed our customer’s #1 bullion product choice overall. Buy 90% Junk Silver Coins - https://SDBullion.com/silver/junk-silver Learn more about Gold, Silver and other Precious Metals FREE eBook - https://SDBullion.com/book Coming in 8th place in our TOP 10 Bullion Product countdown.... SD Bullion customers combined, purchase bag after bag of Constitutional 90% US Silver Coins each and every year. Often referred in industry parlance as ‘junk silver coin’... these older precious US silver coins were part of our nation’s standard circulating coinage from the signing of the 1792 Coinage Act all they way through the year 1964. Often sold in legal tender face value bags. 90% Silver coin bags in the USA range in sizes as large as $1,000 dollar face bags containing a minimum of 715 troy ounce silver content down to small $10 dollar face bags containing 7.15 silver troy ounces in each. Even smaller allotments of Constitutional silver coins are also available at SDBullion.com Bullion Industry insiders often monitor Pre-1964 US silver coin price premiums, their ongoing supply and demand factors tend to give advance notice to bullion market players as to when price premium cycle changes are occuring. On this 90% silver coin price premium chart for instance, you can see durations of time when the physical supply for silver bullion products were limited. For example the fall of 2008 and in late 2015 when silver spot prices were hitting interim low price points. Late last year, we learned that some industry silver refineries were making more profit by simply melting these never to make again Constitutional 90% silver coins. Given that price premiums were getting so low of late, many silver refineries were making more profit melting these classic Constitutional silver coins down to .999 fineness and selling them to silver industrial users as opposed to selling them to silver investors and bullion buyers. Since the great silver melt in 1980, the total population of older 90% US Silver coins has only dwindled in the decades since. The US government is unlikely to ever produce these Constitutional silver coins again. This is but one reason many silver bullion buyers choose to buy older 90% junk silver coins. Many also believe these would useful in barter or trade during potential currency crisis scenarios. Others simply know that the availability of these 90% silver coins is shrinking, and simply want some before they become even harder to buy in the future. How to Clean Silver Coins { Common Versions Only } SD Bullion

03:19
Learn more about Silver & other Precious Metals: https://SDBullion.com/book WARNING: never clean highly collectible coins and rare key date coins. The following silver coin cleaning content is for you to learn how to clean silver coins that are common dates and not highly rare of numismatically collectible. Cleaning Silver Coins: Which Kinds are OK to Clean? We are explaining how to for instance gently clean an oxidized older common 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin, 1 oz Silver Rounds, older silver bullion bars, or common pre-1964 90% US Silver Coins. Why Clean Silver Coins? Silver reacts to open air readily with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and thus produces silver sulfide (Ag2S), a dark-colored compound familiar as the tarnish on silver coins and other sterling silver objects. Often older formerly circulating 90% US silver coins are purchased by bullion buyers for their low premiums and due to the fact that there are lessoning populations of them each and every year we move forward in time. The problem is most of these older ‘junk silver coins’ are covered in tarnish, dirt, and the grime of our forefather’s hands. They often have a sticky film on them and leave a sour smell on your hands after touching them. By the way, cleaning silver coins is a divisive topic in the silver bullion and silver coin buying community. About half the crowd hates the idea of it, while the other half hates having dirty tarnished coins. We’re here to help the latter half of the readers learn how to clean silver coins (common versions) with easy household items. Often bullion buyers and Pre1964 US Silver Coin buyers choose to lightly clean silver coins using non-destructive methods we will cover here. We’re going to show you various methods for restoring tarnished silver coins to a more illustrious shine without ruining their values. Cleaning silver coins that are not ‘key dates’ or of high numismatic collectibility is an easy process. There are a few simple processes you can do at home not only for cleaning silver coins easily but also for cleaning silver items like .925 silverware or other silver jewelry items. WARNING: again, never clean collectible Numismatic key date coins. Their tarnish and toning add value, cleaning them strips them of their price premiums amongst rare coin collectors. WARNING: The following 2 methods of easy common silver coin cleaning produces sulfuric fumes you should not inhale in high volumes. How to Clean Silver Coins: Baking Soda Method Ingredients and Tools Required: Dirty non-numismatic silver coins or other sterling silver items, aluminum foil, baking soda, hot water, a container to soak them in, latex gloves, a disposable toothbrush or small brush to enhance results, open air as the fumes extrapolated are toxic in high volumes, an additional container of clean water to rinse with, and some towels for drying out freshly cleaning silver coins or silverware. Steps to Cleaning Silver Coins with Baking Soda Step #1: Line a container with Aluminum Foil (shiny or dull side, doesn’t matter). Step #2: Sprinkle some Baking Soda on the foil. Step #3: Add Tarnished Common Date Silver Coins. Step #4: Add Hot Water to cover the coins fully, then add more Baking Soda covering the coins. Let sit for five minutes. Step #5: With latex covered gloves extract the silver items and additionally with a toothbrush or dry towel rub away any tarnish and grime. Here you can choose to perhaps apply additional baking soda applications and rounds soaking in the hot water with aluminum foil. Step #6: Fully Rinse after Cleaning Silver Coins with Cold Water. Buy Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins - https://SDBullion.com/gold/royal-canadian-mint-gold-coins/gold-maple-leaf-coins Learn more about Gold, Silver and other Precious Metals FREE eBook - https://SDBullion.com/book The 24 karat, 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coin is one of the most popular and world recognized, gold bullion coins today. Produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, these 1 troy ounce gold coins are competitively priced slightly above the fluctuating gold spot price. When being sold to bullion dealers Royal Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coins yield bid prices at or above the dynamic gold spot price. Able to be purchased in mere 1 oz allotments, in protective mint tubes of 10 coins, or in bulk by Royal Canadian Mint cases containing 50 tubes of 10 gold coins each for a 500 troy ounce total. These official fine gold coins are guaranteed genuine by the Canadian government, containing a minimum of 1 troy ounce of fine gold in each respective piece. Newer versions of this popular gold coin have various anti-counterfeit designs such as tapered radial lines, micro year of mint stamping. Virtually all the valuable characteristics of this particular gold coin is stamped upon the coin including its weight, official sovereign mint backing, fine gold composition both in english and french, as well as a $50 Canadian dollar legal tender face value (although these popular gold coins are traded for their gold content, not their purposely low stamped face values). Given that they are 24k gold coins, they are soft and malleable, protective flips and tube coverings are suggested for safekeeping. 1 oz Canadian Gold Maples are also Gold IRA qualified making them available for tax deferred long term retirement savings. Since their inception in 1979, the Royal Canadian Mint has produced nearly 30 million ounces of these exceptional .9999 fine gold coins. Buy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins - https://SDBullion.com/silver/royal-canadian-mint-silver-coins Learn more about Gold, Silver and other Precious Metals FREE eBook - https://SDBullion.com/book In 5th place in our TOP 10 Bullion Product countdown... SD Bullion customers, purchase millions of 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins each and every year. 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Coins are struck and guaranteed by the Royal Canadian Mint. They are a modern silver bullion coin known around the world struck in gold, platinum, palladium, and in silver bullion like so. This yellow Silver Maple Leaf Coin Mint Case contains 500 Canadian 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coins. Often referred within the silver bullion industry parlance as ‘Monster Boxes’ due to their overall heavy 40 pound weight, each Silver Maple Leaf Coin case holds and protects the iconic Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins contained. Since first minted by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988, the iconic 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin has become one of the world’s most popular silver bullion coins. Over 200,000,000 ounces of Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins have been purchased by investors and coin collectors around the globe. The 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin was the first silver coin ever to achieve a purity level of .9999 fine silver bullion. These silver Canadian bullion coins are guaranteed to have 1 troy ounce of fine silver bullion. - They are Legal tender in Canada with a $5 CAD face value. - Yet they are bought and sold with a price premium above the world’s fluctuating silver spot price. - Private silver investments which are currently IRS 1099B dealer reporting requirement exempt, and can be held completely outside of the world’s financial system. - Confidentially shipped to your door or to your fully insured non-bank Silver Storage Account. - May ship in protective flips, Canadian Mint Tubes of 25, or in sealed Canadian Mint Boxes of 500 coins each. - these Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins are also eligible for Silver IRAs, and tax deferred long term silver retirement savings. In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint introduced micro laser engravings on their popular Silver Maple Leaf coins. On the reverse or back of the modern bullion Silver Maple Leaf coin you can now find a miniature micro-engraved maple leaf symbol below the larger more obvious maple leaf stamping. With magnification one can better see that struck within the center of this mini maple leaf marking, a two-digit number illustrates the coin’s 21st Century year of issuance. For example the first year this anti-counterfeit fake silver protection measure was put into place, the number ‘18’ was stamped in this mini maple leaf feature to illustrate the coin’s 2018 year of mintage making counterfeit attempts even more difficult. Also from the year 2014 onwards, the Canadian Mint added micro-radial lines to the backgrounds of both sides of this official Silver Maple Leaf coin. This also makes successful counterfeiting less likely due to the coin striking precision required to duplicate the fine taper micro lines running throughout this Canadian silver coin’s obverse and reverse backgrounds. One troy ounce Silver Maple leaf Coins are a consistent favorite amongst silver bullion buyers, for they are highly recognized and respected not merely in North America but all over the bullion trading world. France's De Gaulle stood for Gold Bullion Delivery, led an 🔚 London Gold Pool Price Management

02:00
You can learn more about Gold and other Precious Metals at https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book A speech spurring the end of the price rigging London Gold Pool, but not the US dollar's Exorbitant Privilege that it still has today as the dominate reserve currency of the world (thanks to the 1970s petrodollar deals flowing into US bonds and treasury notes, etc.). What was the London Gold Pool? + Who was Charles de Gaulle? The London Gold Pool was an effort to contain the gold price from late 1961 to early 1968, by a group of 8 central banks. In the London Gold Pool, the United States and 7 European nation’s central bank partners agreed to collude in order to maintain the Bretton Woods System of a fixed-rate convertible currency to gold capital account system. To do so required defending a gold price of $35 oz USD through those years by direct interventions in the world’s then most important “price discovery” location, the London gold market. Of course there was way too much currency issued at the time and thus failure was an inevitable as France eventually decided to change course. For just over six years time, the aforementioned 8 conspiring central banks coordinated gold sales to balance spikes in the market price of gold as determined by the London morning gold fixing while buying physical gold supplies on price weaknesses. The United States ended up providing about 50% of the required gold supply for sale (basically almost all the gold with was confiscated by the US government at $20.67 oz in 1933 and later us dollar devalued upon by revaluing gold to $35 oz in 1934). The London Gold Pool price controls were successful for some six years yet this simple and crude gold price rigging system became unworkable as time and gold bullion outflows quickened as nations like France took delivery. The 1934 pegged price of $35 oz USD gold was way too low and deflationary compared to the world’s then outstanding currency supplies. Thus there were many run of delivery demands for physical gold bullion, runs on the British pound’s value, and runs on the US dollar’s value as well. France ultimately decided to withdraw from the pool. The London Gold Pool collapsed in March 1968. Read about why the final vestiges of the gold standard failed as well as the man, John Exter, who oversaw US gold bullion outflows during the 1950s and 1960s as well as his life’s prescient thoughts and works on gold: https://sdbullion.com/blog/financial-crisis-protection Further info on the London Gold Pool price rigging failure: https://www.gold-eagle.com/article/lessons-london-gold-pool Who is Charles de Gaulle? In February 1965, then French President Charles de Gaulle announced his intention to exchange its U.S. dollar reserves for gold at the official exchange rate. He sent the French Navy across the Atlantic to pick up the French reserve of gold and was followed by several countries. These actions considerably reduced U.S. gold reserves and U.S. economic influence, it led U.S. President Richard Nixon to ultimately end unilaterally the convertibility of the dollar to gold on August 15, 1971 (the "Nixon Shock"). Which was claimed to be a temporary measure in his speech, but the dollar became permanently a floating fiat currency since and in October 1976, the U.S. government officially changed the definition of the dollar to good luck defining its value; references to gold were removed from statutes, etc. This speech is slightly edit for the viewer, if you want to see a longer more drawn out version try here: https://youtu.be/Q9r1NLMFixo?t=9s As for the speech, it was obviously given by then French President Charles de Gaulle in February 1965 essentially stating the case for why France would continue to swap excess currency reserves like US dollars into Gold Bullion. Charles de Gaulle fought in WW1 and WW2. He was one of the first major French leaders to reject Nazi German rule outright in the early 1940s and helped spur on England to defend and fight against Nazi invasion. The song is a remix of Nina Simone's original Sinnerman. How many Grams in an ounce of Silver? | SD Bullion

Get OUR FREE eBOOK on BULLION Buying & Selling http://SDBullion.com/book How many Grams in an ounce of Silver? https://SDBullion.com/blog/how-many-grams-in-a-troy-ounce-of-silver This is a public service announcement from SDBullion.com answering the often asked question… How many grams in a troy ounce of Silver? First and foremost, the world most often measures silver bullion using either troy ounces or grams. 1 troy ounce has precisely 31.1034768 grams of fine silver content. For this real world example, we will use a two decimal point, $12 dollar digital scale to weigh some common 1 troy ounce silver bullion products. To begin we will weigh how many grams are in this 1 oz SD Bullion Silver Freedom Round made with .999 fine silver. Up next we will weight the world's most popular silver bullion coin by sales volume, the 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin, also comprised of .999 fine silver bullion. Note that it is common for both government and private silver mint products to err on the heavy side by containing an extra tenth or more of silver grams. It is very unlikely you will ever find genuine silver bullion products which do not contain a minimum of the troy ounce silver weight explicitly stamped upon them. How many Grams in an ounce of Gold? | SD Bullion

02:11
How many grams in an ounce of Gold? Learn more about Gold and other precious metals with our complementary bullion buying guide you can download now right here: https://SDBullion.com/book First and foremost, the world most often measures gold bullion using either troy ounces or grams. One troy ounce has precisely 31.1034768 grams of gold. For this real world example, we use a $12 dollar, two decimal point, digital scale to weigh some common 24 karat 1 troy ounce gold bullion products. As well, we will also give you a bonus piece of information regarding the most highly purchased 22k gold bullion coin in the world today. To begin we will weigh how many grams are in this 1 oz PAMP Suisse four 9 fine gold bullion bar. Up next we will weight a common 1 oz Royal Canadian Mint gold bullion coin comprised of .9999 fine gold. It is common for both government and private gold mint products to err on the heavy side, by containing an extra 100th gram or two of gold. It is also very unlikely you will ever find genuine gold bullion products which do not contain a minimum of the troy ounce or gold gram weight stamped upon them. One additional important point about weighing common gold bullion coins. Two of the most popular and widely circulated gold bullion coins are 22k gold. To conclude, we will weight the world’s most popular gold bullion coin by sales volume. The 1 oz American Gold Eagle coin. This 22k gold eagle coin is made with an over .916 gold purity yet it also mixed with additional silver and copper inputs, to make it more more dent and warp resistant. To ensure this 22k Gold Eagle coin indeed has it’s gold gram weight, we would simply multiply 33.95 grams by .916667 purity resulting in an approximate 31.12 grams of gold contained. That is 2 hundredths more grams of gold than is guaranteed by the US Mint coin’s stamping and hallmark guarantee. This concludes our 'How Many grams in an ounce of Gold?' video. What is Bitcoin? by SD Bullion | SDBullion.com now accepts BTC ▂▃▅

A brief overview of Bitcoin... Buy Gold Bullion with Bitcoin: https://sdbullion.com/blog/buy-gold-with-bitcoin Buy Silver Bullion with Bitcoin: https://sdbullion.com/blog/buy-silver-with-bitcoin You can learn more about Gold, Silver, and Bitcoin at: https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book Thanks for watching. Transcript: During the past year, the digital currency Bitcoin has entered the public consciousness. Although mostly ignored by the mainstream media before 2017, as Bitcoin’s value began a rise, media attention—and often skepticism—followed. From March to December 2017, the price of a Bitcoin rose from about $1000 to more than $19,000. Then Bitcoin’s value corrected sharply to below $6000 by February 2018. This volatility has brought attention to Bitcoin, and also many conflicting opinions. Some people say Bitcoin could transform the financial system, while others say it is all hype and that Bitcoin is merely one of the biggest financial bubbles in history. How Does Bitcoin Work? Bitcoin is a digital asset created nearly a decade ago by a person under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Unlike other transaction media such as credit or debit cards, Bitcoin requires no third party, instead, it is decentralized and operates on a peer-to-peer basis. In order to transact, each user has a public key and a private key, which are large numerical strings used to encrypt and decrypt digital content. The public key allows other people to deposit money into a person’s account, and the private key allows that person to make payments to others. Bitcoin’s foundation is the blockchain, a digital ledger composed of all historical bitcointransactions. Copies of the entire blockchain exist on all the computers in the Bitcoin network. The blockchain is segmented into individual “blocks” which include multiple transactions. Every computer simultaneously gathers unconfirmed transactions into blocks while racing to solve an extremely complex math problem. Once one computer solves the math problem, its block is added to the blockchain confirming the transactions in the block, and that computer is rewarded with a certain number of newly created bitcoins. At this time, all other computers discard their blocks and start over. Over time, the number of bitcoins a computer can win by solving the math problem decreases. Once 21 million bitcoins are created, no more bitcoins will be created. As of January, 2018, 16.8 million bitcoins had been mined (https://cointelegraph.com/news/80-of-all-bitcoins-already-mined-only-42-million-coins-left-until-supply-cap). The incentive to continue confirming Bitcoin transactions and keeping the blockchain running will be transaction fees. How Do You Buy Bitcoin? There are numerous exchanges that people can buy bitcoin with their bank account. About 3000 Bitcoin ATMs also exist. Coin ATM Radar helps individuals find Bitcoin ATMs near them. You can even buy bitcoin in person using cash. The website LocalBitcoins allows people to find others in their area who are selling bitcoin.

Bitcoin Regulation: Is Bitcoin a Medium of Exchange? | SDBullion.com

03:38
A brief look at Bitcoin regulation, privacy, and how these impact it's status as a medium of exchange. Buy Gold Bullion with Bitcoin: https://sdbullion.com/blog/buy-gold-with-bitcoin Buy Silver Bullion with Bitcoin: https://sdbullion.com/blog/buy-silver-with-bitcoin You can learn more about Gold, Silver, and Bitcoin at: https://SDBullion.com/21st-century-gold-rush-book Video Transcript: Bitcoin is hard to regulate and trace. This fact makes Bitcoin a better medium of exchange in some circumstances than government currencies. Malte Möser, et al, researched how anonymous Bitcoin is and the risks of the cryptocurrency being used for money laundering (https://maltemoeser.de/paper/money-laundering.pdf). Their article concludes Bitcoin is pseudonymous, not anonymous. All transactions are publicly recorded under people’s account number or public key. However, if the account number or public key is not linked to the real identity of the person, then the transaction is in all practicality anonymous. But in this post-Snowden world, we know the government is tracking everything and could figure out our identity, right? Möser, et al, found that it is possible to remain anonymous using Bitcoin. In principle, the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) principle, a legal requirement in the United States for financial service providers to validate the identity of account holders, could be enforced to make Bitcoin exchanges require personal identification, and therefore, prevent Bitcoin transactions from being anonymous. But Malte Möser, et al, experimented with transaction anonymization systems such as BitLaundry, Bitcoin Fog, and the Send Shared functionality of Blockchain.info, and found that the latter two do successfully anonymize the transactions, and therefore, the KYC principle is unlikely to be enforceable. Also, monitoring or controlling how a cryptocurrency is used is nearly impossible since no financial intermediaries are involved (https://policyreview.info/articles/analysis/bitcoin-regulatory-nightmare-libertarian-dream). For those wanting to transact without being tracked, Bitcoin proves to be a better medium of exchange than government currencies. Bitcoin can be transferred across some borders more easily than government currencies. For example, getting money into China is easy, but getting money out is difficult. China imposes severe capital controls on currency leaving the country. However, as Forbes contributor Tim Worstall points out, Bitcoin can easily be transported out of China (https://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2013/11/21/finally-a-proper-use-for-bitcoin-avoiding-capital-controls/#33dd8bf9794a). People can simply buy Bitcoin while their in China and stick it on a jump drive. Once their out of the country, all they need to do is sell the Bitcoin that’s on their jump drive. In fact, it could even be simpler than that. They wouldn’t even need a jump drive. They could simply memorize their private key, and they would only need access to Internet to recover their Bitcoin’s. But this doesn’t mean Bitcoin is money. Money must be widely used and also a store of value. But is Bitcoin used enough to be considered a widely used medium of exchange? Bitcoin traded at a volume of $160 billion in 2017 (https://data.bitcoinity.org/markets/price_volume/2y/USD?r=month&t=lb&vu=curr). That’s equivalent to more than $35 billion per year. And that’s in the same order of magnitude as many countries’ GDPs (http://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/[email protected]/OEMDC/ADVEC/WEOWORLD/BTN/BOL). This is good evidence that Bitcoin is a widely used medium of exchange. We will consider Bitcoin’s status as a store of value in our next article. Bullion Sales Tax Returning to Washington State? SB 5658 | SD Bullion

27:41
Learn more about this current attempt to repeal the Washington state's 1985 bullion sales tax exemption here: https://SDBullion.com/blog/bullion-sales-tax-return-to-washington-state This clip was recorded in the Washington State Senate Way & Means Committee on March 14, 2019. It covers the potential repeal of a current state of Washington bullion sales tax exemption which dates back to the year 1985. Since the state of Washington prudently decided to drop taxing bullion sales within its jurisdiction now over three decades ago, more than 100 local bullion related businesses have come into fruition within the state. Washington state Senate Bill 5658, if passed, would go into effect on October 1, 2019, making sales of precious metal bullion products within the state of Washington a taxable event. Taxed by both the current Washington state sales tax rate of an additional 6.5% as well as local municipal or city taxes which can be as high as an additional 3.4%. For example, if SB 5658 were to pass and repeal the current Washington state bullion sales tax exemption in place. Any bullion sales within the large city of Seattle, Washington would be charged an additional 10.1% state and city tax. In this hypothetical future Seattle bullion sale, if a Gold Bullion product’s retail price is $1,300 oz USD, then the total price after WA sales and Seattle city tax would be $1,431.30 oz USD. In other words, common sense says any bullion investors and related Washington state-based bullion businesses will be forced to operate elsewhere in more bullion-friendly bullion sales tax states like Oregon, Idaho, even nearby Vancouver, Canada. In the clip embedded above, to begin the discussion of SB 5658, Alia Kennedy (Committee Staff) rattles off some general points as to what is under discussion. She mentions that the repeal of long-standing 1985 Washington bullion sales tax exemption would result in $10.4 million USD of additional Washington state sales tax revenues annually. Surprising given her title as “Revenue Counsel” she gives no details as to presumptions made with this estimate. One might wonder if there has been any study or presumption on how many bullion sales will theretofore occur outside the state of Washington if the 1985 exemption on bullion state sales tax is of course repealed.
