He is currently assigned as the CHP Safety Services Program coordinator. Major components of the Safety Services Program include the workplace violence prevention, crime prevention, and emergency preparedness programs. Officer Fuentes is a veteran law enforcement instructor and is certified as an advanced instructor by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). He has taught many in-service training courses for the CHP and has served as an evaluator with the Tulare-Kings Counties Police Academy.
